"its a memory section disguised as a bossfight" are bossfights not inherently memory sections? unless its one of those that mix in wkth the normal gameplay every bossfight requires you to memorize it, thats how bossfights work. ive never liked bossfights which is why i havent beat sirius until like 1-2 years ago but once you memorize it its pretty simple
@@NothingIsScary I just personally don't like bossfights in general it just kinda feels like memory gameplay without the cool factor and they don't even make for fun gameplay
As a forsaken neon victor, I can say that the level is a massive nothing-burger with disproportionately hard choke points. I hate it. Bloodbath in all its hellish difficulty is better, and I actually enjoy it. Haven't gotten past 63 yet though
honestly, influence should absolutely be a big factor in rankings like this, especially for cookiecutter extremes. (which you did factor in for, which was nice to see) but imagine playing IWannaBeTheGuy and being sad that it isnt themed around like the actual game.
no thats based actually. the actual iwbtg is a really neat game that takes a ton of skill and memorization, the perfect candidate for a platformer demon. meanwhile the level is just "yeah lets throw a bunch of hard jumps and call it a day." no silly retro game references, no funny nonsensical traps, nothing. this is one of the few cases where i think being completely and utterly unpredictable would be great for the level
@@TsukiStuffsthis entire gameplay style isnt a reference to i wanna be the guy, but to the infinite amount of fangames that it has which use the exact gameplay style the gd level uses. All those fangames tend to use the "i wanna be the __" naming formula which is where that thing is from. Some of the parts in these levels which have you avoid moving obstacles with a ship/ufo are also an idea taken from those fangames. But yeah, the troll aspect of iwbtg would be cool to see in a level
I mean at least the decoration for the boss fight in Sirius was cool for its time. You didn't see many boss fights in 2.0 that weren't just moving deadlocked monsters
The extreme demon picks are pretty based, I’d pick something like Sonic Wave Rebirth as most hated hard extreme because it’s just a redeco of another level. The point you brought up for Sakupen Circles is why I also hate the verified version of Silent Clubstep
nerfed silent clubstep came out before any serious verfication attempt though. whats more, it was done by the original creator himself, with the help of a few other ppl, and most if not all changes were done to bring the level closer to what was originally intended (namely fixing it on 60fps)
I don't think Cherry Blossom is that bad decoration-wise but I agree with the thing you said about "why would they put that random restriction" and "if cherry team made an easy demon for everybody to enjoy, that would be cool."
Damn I gotta respect the courage to put out the Sirius Bossfight equivalent of Opinion quality out here man. It takes bravery for sure. I already knew we were in for a stinker after getting the two clarifications that the opinions are gonna be bad and, yeah bro definitely delivered on that hard. Overall theres not much to say about the video. Sirius Bossfight has valid criticisms, Cherry doesn't at all. But its all good. IWBTG complaints weren't valid or logical for the most part, which I get since this entire vid isnt made with logic but emotionality and irrationality in mind. And Forsaken Neon and Sakupen Hell were understandable tbh. Sakupen Circles criticism was fine. And other than the video being low quality ragebait there wasn't really much else to say. Typical. Nothing crazy or special, which wasn't tbe original intention anyways. Overall good work. 👍
Honestly I don't think IWBTG had that bad of an influence. I quite like needle gameplay platformers and I honestly think that difficult levels would've adopted the style of gameplay regardless. It's the easiest high difficulty gameplay to make and it looks broadly appealing to watch. As for the level itself, I beat it and I didn't mind it for the most part. The balancing wasn't great, but it's very far from my most hated insane demon.
I think recently CherryTeam has been good at making non-extremes like Crash Game and Neur Absence (both easy insane demons that have very high enjoyments), but I do have to agree Cherry Blossom is awful. If you would like a hard demon I can almost guarantee you’ll hate, "Flow" is literally Ship but longer and a tier 14 :) Nice video btw
The easy demon one doesn't look that bad, it's looks decent enough imo Also I kinda agree with Sirius, I did a practice run of it recently for the first time and some of the boss attacks are annoying
While I don't agree with basically anything here, I still think it's a good video. Thanks for sharing your views even though you knew people were gonna disagree, takes some courage man! ❤
Is Megalovania by Airswipe a hated level? It's one of my favourites and I often use it as a warmup for harder levels. And just to preface it, i HATE memory levels. But this one flows so wonderfully. The attack pattern is so simple, it's hard to forget. its literally up and down alternating.
About Sirius: I had conflicting feelings about -Sirius-, I like it but at the same time my brain just didn't want to work during the boss fight, especially the robot. Like you said about raw memory, yeah, someone like Merg had a HUGE advantage of that. About Sakupen Hell: Didn't Noobas delete the level himself to bury the dark past rather than RobTop? (At least that's what SEA said.)
I either understand or totally agree with most of these, but The Moon Below is such a cool and unique level. It’s one of the levels I always think of when I think of “cool as fuck” levels. The atmosphere is excellent, the anticipation of the dash orb release is crazy (not to mention funny as hell), etc. My favorite extreme demon is Congregation, and I love The Moon Below for similar reasons (gameplay, atmosphere, decoration, song). But yeah, all my homies hate shitkupen hell and shitkupen circles.
No matter what opinion you have it will never be as bad as my least favourite Easy Demon being TOE2 because my experience beating it was absolutely miserable and made me hate the level and UFO gameplay in general.
Imo, the "good" bossfights are in platformer mode. Stuff like "tombstone Project" (insane demon) and "boss rush" (not yet released) are so cool and fun. They're also pretty predictable!
For me: Easy demon: Invisible clubstep (its the laziest level out there) Medium demon: verity (it looks great, but the last 30 percent are way too hard for a medium demon) Hard demon: clubsteb ex (its the worst expierience possible when played on 60 fps) Insane demon: stalemate (i like it, but i like every other insane demon i beat more) Extreme demon: how to platformer (yes its pain to play a level for 8h in a row, no i wont accept the fact that it got downgraded to insane because its clearly extreme. I mean just look at the last 200 stages alone)
my only issue with sakupen hell is that 6% double blue orb and maybe the wave transitions could be more smooth. As for a hard one, you definitely haven't seen ML80 and naranja azul rosa or whatever those abominations are called
i feel sorta compelled to comment since from what i've seen it seems to be an extremely rare opinion to dislike sirius but i've also never liked it ever since it came out, and even put off beating it for a while, during which i think some people were calling it not only the best level ever created but also one of the easiest demons in the game, if i remember correctly. which i just couldn't understand for the reasons you brought up; the boss has essentially no telegraphing so you just have to memorize where to be and when for the whole boss. i feel justified hearing someone else also complain about it lol. now contrast how i feel about that to how i feel about the moon below, which currently sits at the top of my list for my most favorite extreme demons that i've beaten. i don't think it's really fair to rank it the lowest purely because of the long dash orb, mostly i just found it funny, but also think it adds to its uniqueness since literally no other level would even think of doing something like that (probably for good reason), but i think it works in this case, considering tmb's quiet and subdued atmosphere which is already highly uncommon in gd levels. the level itself in my experience is extremely fun, although a lot of that probably comes down to how lucky you get with the second half of the ship. i only died there once, though the verifier and one of my friends who has also beaten it didn't get as lucky as i did and ended up probably having a much worse experience.
Sirius is the first level with a boss fight, this was huge back then and this is where it gained its popularity. Yea the boss is bad but no one did boss fights before
ill try to say smth decent abt the levels you hate cause i think its funy cherry blossom: a great break from how cherry team always seems so "corporate", its basically just them making a silly little level in 24 hours i can see how you think that this level sucks for being a cherry team easy demon that could have been way better but also cherry team has made some really really really good bangers that arent extremes like upscope which is medium demon so theres some redemption for that. sirius: ik sirius' bossfight is really dumb but isnt there way worse medium demons? also you cant really ignore how exceptional the boss actually is in terms of "bossfightness" especially for its time. its still more creative than many bossfights today. forsaken neon: uhhhhhhhhh.... gameplay is creative........... ok i dislike forsaken neon too i wanna be the guy: the better you are at needle type platformer gp the more fun this level becomes, trust. i beat this to becomes better at needle platformer gp and i hated it but yesterday i came back to it for speedrunning and it was way better aside from some specific jumps. its really really good for getting better at this type of gameplay. i do think its influence has been a bit over the top and less and less people are doing their own thing with gameplay but i dont think the gameplay style is even that bad. some people are already starting to get more creativ with needle gameplay such as adding wall jumps, double jumps, dash orbs for boosting, and even more creative gimmicks. the upcoming extreme "don" by tmco shows how needle gameplay can be very creative if done right! cant deny this deco is absolutely the worst deco ive ever seen tho lmfao sakupen hell: yeah i agree i cant think of anything cool this level did...... the moon below: broooo i love this level sm... the atmosphere is on point and the gameplay isnt even that bad especially if youre used to that kind of gameplay. yeah the dash orb is stupid but its not THAT bad to the point where the entire level is brought down by it to such a significant degree that i would hate it sakupen sircles: i honestly think theres worse. though i do think this level is just made to get sakupen circles "verified" and "rated" and "placed on the list" like i wouldnt say its the worst extreme when theres stuff like AOD and tunnel of despair that are just a nightmare to play i hope you fume (respectfully)
IWBTG's gameplay style is exactly what people who play fangames play, also the needle style of gameplay had nothing to do with IWBTG it did not start anything lol. As someone who actually can play platformers that are difficult, this type of gameplay is the most fun. You probably dont hate this style of gameplay, you likely hate hard platformers. And if you disagree, find some hard gameplay that you like. Most people who complain about platformer gameplay just hate struggling on platformers, which is why i am putting you into this group. if you do enjoy other styles of hard platformer gameplay I will change my opinion.
I was picking medium demons to beat (after I beat my first one, kiln) and I looked at -Sirius- and thought, "wow, this looks fun" and then got to the bossfight and immediately exited the practice run and started playing B instead.
I can honestly see why someone wouldn't like IWBTG, but I personally like it. It has very straightforward, no gimmick nonsense difficulty. I would honestly rather have every top 1 based off of it than something like chromaside.
I like CherryTeam levels and seeing Exen show off KOCMOC is what got me into the game so I have a soft spot for them. I do agree they should put the same love they put into KOCMOC and Psytokinesis into a medium demon so I can go for it as my first medium lol
Ok no I have to back you up on Sirius. Istg that bossfight legit turns the level from a 6* to an Insane Demon, and it just balances out to a medium demon. My hardest is BLOODLUST, and I still haven't finished the level because the bossfight is so inconsistent and bad. I have always thought the boss sucks and will continue to side with you on such matter. It makes me wish it was done better because it looks really good for its time. (Also can we get a video of you talking about demons you like. I wants to hear you spreads the positivity.)
I was completely against you when mentioning Sirius as the worst medium demon. You won me over as soon as you mentioned Sakupen Circles though, what an awful extreme demon.
I got some picks of my own for extremes, so here they are. Easy Extremes | The Ultimate Phase Old unbalanced level with a hard dual ship part and a spam that feels like luck. First 40% is free, spam is stupid, dual ship has dual ship physics, Loogiah's part is impossible, and MaJacko's part has a random inverted slope. Hard Extremes | Sonic Wave Rebirth Sonic Wave but the gameplay is somehow worse and it's harder to see. Also somehow epic rated. List Worthy Extremes | Silent clubstep No explaination necessary if you have eyes that work.
I’ve seen a few people put their opinions in the comments so I’ll just put mine 🤷♀️ Easy Demon: Horizon Zero Medium Demon: Biru Hard Demon: PG Clubstep Insane Demon: Invisible Deadlocked Extreme Demon: Tidal Wave Feel free to debate me I guess 😁
So correct about Forsaken Neon. I beat it last week as my 6th hardest but when I had started going for it I originally planned for it to be a new hardest. The level is just so... underwhelming
hating -sirius- because the bossfight is memory is kinda crazy because literally every bossfight that doesnt handhold you with a literal indicated PATH to follow is memory. although i agree i dont really like the gameplay of it, i think your reasoning is quite silly.
bro i was looking at the gddl to see how people rated laser room you rated it a tier 8 bro 😂 i found it a tier 2 such different opinion (like no offence, sorry if you found anything bad if youre reading this)
Nah bro is actually based with 99% of the opinions ngl The only thing I disagree with is sakupen hell and forsaken neon but only because I've grown fond of their dogwater gameplay to the poin that I've convinced myself that I like it that way
My list would be: Easy Demon - Dilation by nampac Just a really shitty nothingburger level from early 2.1 with bad transitions, hitboxes, and chokepoints scattered around. While it may be a 2/10, it's still my least favourite easy demon because you don't really get time to form strong opinions on Easy Demons once you've beaten over 1000 of them. Medium Demon - nandertale by im fernando Only beat this one recently, and it's just AWFUL. Over 4 minutes of early 2.1 gameplay (that was made in 2020 somehow), super unoptimized, does the trope of blocking your sightreadability with subpar pixel art, and out of all of that, the best part is SOMEHOW the bossfight with NO INDICATORS because it's the easiest part to learn and actually looks decent. The endscreen plays until 99%, then you're randomly thrown out of a blind transition into like 2 clicks at the end with no indicators, bad hitboxes, AND it's buggy. I died here once despite being fully prepared and the level ended up taking me like 2 hours to beat. REALLY bad. A couple quick dishonourable mentions because these could be interchangable: One Space by Zoroa: Banned song on a medium demon, really REALLY boring gameplay, hated playing this every time I tried to beat it. Hot Dog Redux by kr1t: Self-explanatory, if you've seen the level you'll know what I mean. Windings by Rabb2t: I usually really advocate for map pack love, there are so many levels in them that get way too much hate for what they are (square adventure, pg clubstep)... but uhhh Windings deserves the hate :) Krakens Curse by FrostDragonGD: Old weekly demon that has a REALLY FUCKING HARD SPIDER halfway through the level. Also super obnoxious song, I hate Teminite music. Hard Demon - Sedulous by Samifying I was ESTATIC when you gave this mention in your list. I HATE THIS LEVEL SO MUCH, this is 100% my least favourite level in the game. I've had to explain why so many times, but put simply: gameplay that is insanely learny, inconsistent, super buggy (at least to me apparently), and is built through flinging your cube on the y-axis as much as possible is NOT the quality of gameplay I should expect from a super well-received, AWARD WINNING level that was made over the course of 3.5 YEARS. The fact that this has stayed in the GDDP for the entirety of its lifespan despite there being MUCH better flow hard demons (if you can even call Sedulous flow) is absolutely insane to me. Sedulous is only now starting to finally get consistent for me despite the fact I beat it in DECEMBER 2022. Also no, this level doesn't have some of the best decoration in the game, in fact I'd argue it wasn't even close to the most well-decorated level when it was released, and ESPECIALLY not for its time. Great song though!! Too bad it's completely associated with this garbagefest now!! :)))) Insane Demon - Thanatophobia by ARtu Always have disliked this level, and that dislike grew more and more when I started casually playing it. I wanted to beat this level for a while to prove that it was harder than Acu because I never seemed to get consistent at the predrop. Turns out that that's just because the predrop of this level is some of the buggiest, unplaytested, and unreadable gameplay ever created!! I have no idea how you mess up a predrop so much that even the teleportals, which are meant to FIX gameplay, ended up making it 3x as buggy and unfair. Also, the predrop does the most annoying thing that only I seem to hate for some reason, which is when the clicks are ALMOST lined up to the music but every single one is just slightly off in some way, so it feels like click sync but you have to intentionally click off beat. Me trying to beat this REALLY felt that, and while I would give this a 2/10, watching old footage of me going for this level and seeing how annoyed I was makes this an easy 1/10. Oh yeah and the drop sucks too!!! :) (but no it's not harder than Acu, I had it above for a while but I moved it down and it will stay there) Extreme Demon - Cat Planet by IcEDCave I despise this level for two reasons. One is because of the gameplay and experience I had with it, which needs no explanation, it's just Aquamarine but nerfed and really awkward. The fakes don't help and hitboxes are super hard to read while going through the level. Every time I played this, from trying to beat it as a hardest in December 2022, to actually beating it in May 2023, it always seemed to just get worse and worse to play. This took SO LONG for me and despite being like wayyyy better at wave than any other gamemode, this level is INSANELY hard. The other reason I hate this is because of the fact that this is even rated. This reason is mostly out of spite and kinda only applies to me but basically, my friend spent weeks working on decorating his own Extreme Demon NC level called Ringy Paracosm, which I was in call with him for around half of the total building process. The gameplay is VERY well received from victors (except for one I think) and actually has theming that most people don't recognize as it's kind of obscure. After being verified by SpeedyMuffin, the level just never got rated and mostly likely never passed the demon system. Only a couple months later, Cat Planet gets rated despite being made in 4 days with little to no care put into the gameplay at all. It's unfair and has always been unfair in my eyes and while it's not really the best reason to hate a level, that's just how I think about it. (Also these are all levels I've beaten, I don't really have too many strong negative opinions on levels I haven't beaten yet)
I only half understand why people judge a level entirely on its gameplay quality. The passion in nandertale and sedulous (also i love when the cube goes off screen flying) is enough for me to love them. There are so many worse, passionless levels that have worse gameplay.
@@dissmogaming1186 if you put THAT much time and passion into a level and it still ends up being one of the worst things I've ever played, then I'm just gonna hate it even more. It's a level to PLAY, not to watch
I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH IWBTG!!!!! I swear I've completed most of the platformer levels, even done the platformer demons ranging from easy demon to insane demon. But there's some certain levels that I just don't want to play because the gameplay is just artificial difficulty and it just makes me frustrated because I know we can do so much better with platformer levels. Also IWBTG has NOTHING to do with IWBTG except they kept the horrible parts, but it makes sense because IWBTG game is not meant to be fun and constantly trolls you. With the IWBTG level, it doesn't have any of the troll factors, it's just horrible jumps. I would've loved to see some inspiration taken from IWBTG and put some idk game references, or add some interesting but random events happening in the level that's out of place like what IWBTG did with the arcade Mike Tyson while adding some references to the game itself, geometry dash. So much potential, but instead we got a trash level, with trash jumps, which influenced the levels in a negative way.
One thing I will say in defence of Sakupen Hell The hitboxes really aren't that bad Sure, there's a few random bushes that stick out but you can easily learn where to go upper or lower within the corridors and the resultant gaps are still a lot more lenient than 15-18 I've experienced a lot more pain on other maps
Great video! Despite not agreeing with a single thing you said throughout this video, you present it well enough. I think my biggest disagreement is on IWBTG and your comment on the tower XXII, in that they're both really fun levels at least in my opinion. The decoration is nothing special for both of them, though I think it makes more context when factoring in the type of decoration from the respective games they're inspired by (IWBTG and celeste)
My favorite difficulty in the game is the hard demon. I have played and beaten some hard demons that became my all time favorites. Yesterday, while looking what hard demon to beat next, since i dont have that many beaten, i approached Darkness Keeper. The most miserable "hard" demon ive ever played.
Here’s my picks solely from experience playing the levels: Easy demon: Wild West Medium Demon: ChipWorld Hard Demon: Eastal (or BOXED if we’re counting platformers) These are my two least favorite demons in GD. Insane Demon: Fortitude, Another Challenge, or Rupture Extreme Demon: I haven’t yet hated an extreme, but the one I enjoyed the least is probably Wind Storm
to be fair, diamond verified old sc with pause buffering, but silent clubstep was put on the list anyways so theres a chance it can get verified without pause buffering
100% agreed with forsaken neon, i tried it as a new hardest, the worst part are the transitions, in fact i died right at the beginning of the last ball, and the cube at 50 is verh very inconsistent
Easy Demon: StarQuake Medium Demon: Meteoric Debris Hard Demon: Tower Descent Insane Demon: Gunslinga Corridor Extreme Demon: Haven't beaten a bad one (yet)
i thought you were supposed to be the controversial opinion guy why are all of these really good picks (yes, including the medium demon and the list-worthy)
Bro I was not prepared to see sirius on this list. Based honestly, it's still the only non extreme demon that I haven't completed on the first page when searching by most liked levels in the game Edit: just saw forsaken neon and I am just amazed by the amount of based opinions you have
We have an interesting common ground even though we have a really different taste. Unnerfed Sakupen Circles is my all time favorite GD level, but I absolutely hate this new version for all the reasons you presented! I was obsessed with this level for years, and now discovering that the version they verified is just some lame nerfed piece of crap, I am enraged.

@@TsukiStuffs I totally agree. But both levels did a lot more than just deadlocked monsters
@@giggonszo5399 indeed. the only thing is that while Sirius looks stunning even to this day it just is not fun to play in the slightest
@@TsukiStuffs Eh it’s pretty bad

The Moon Below is peak wtf, the super long dash orb is for the atmosphere.
Hot take: I like Sakupen Hell. The 2nd/last wave especially feel really satisfying when you pull them off.
Your opinion on cherryteam making an easy demon is actually a super good idea to me as well
Honestly I don't think IWBTG had that bad of an influence.
If you would like a hard demon I can almost guarantee you’ll hate, "Flow" is literally Ship but longer and a tier 14 :)
Nice video btw
Your not alone bro, Sirius is my least favorite level too bro
It’s not just my least favourite, but I think it’s the most garbage level in the entire game and the developers made it with their feet
The easy demon one doesn't look that bad, it's looks decent enough imo
Also I kinda agree with Sirius, I did a practice run of it recently for the first time and some of the boss attacks are annoying
I completly do not disagree but I don't agree either since I haven't beaten any of these levels
4:06 cherry team did that already with binary life
While I don't agree with basically anything here, I still think it's a good video.
Nah bro it's shit
I died literally 66 times past the last wave in forsaken neon and it was one of the most painful things I’ve had to go though in a video game
Sea was wrong
@@NothingIsScary And how exactly can you tell between deleted by RobTop and deleted by the creator?
I either understand or totally agree with most of these, but The Moon Below is such a cool and unique level. It’s one of the levels I always think of when I think of “cool as fuck” levels. The atmosphere is excellent, the anticipation of the dash orb release is crazy (not to mention funny as hell), etc. My favorite extreme demon is Congregation, and I love The Moon Below for similar reasons (gameplay, atmosphere, decoration, song).
But yeah, all my homies hate shitkupen hell and shitkupen circles.
I hate Sirius too, mainly cause I can't search for it :3
Tbh I half expected you to put Tidal wave as the list demon you hate the most.
Now I understand why people say your opinions are bad
you ignored two, TWO clarifications
True...
@@s.s8208 ?
I watched the whole video bruh
?? dont get me wrong but i agree with his opinions except sirius
@idontevenknow3456 yeah it’s not a good boss fight, but it was early 2.0. It’s overrated but it’s nowhere near hate-able, UA-camr just a baby
No matter what opinion you have it will never be as bad as my least favourite Easy Demon being TOE2 because my experience beating it was absolutely miserable and made me hate the level and UFO gameplay in general.
TOE2 is an overrated main level that just feels like muscle memory Imo
Imo, the "good" bossfights are in platformer mode. Stuff like "tombstone Project" (insane demon) and "boss rush" (not yet released) are so cool and fun. They're also pretty predictable!
For me:
Easy demon: Invisible clubstep (its the laziest level out there)
Medium demon: verity (it looks great, but the last 30 percent are way too hard for a medium demon)
Hard demon: clubsteb ex (its the worst expierience possible when played on 60 fps)
Insane demon: stalemate (i like it, but i like every other insane demon i beat more)
Extreme demon: how to platformer (yes its pain to play a level for 8h in a row, no i wont accept the fact that it got downgraded to insane because its clearly extreme.
I love the moon below and I kinda like Sakupen Circles deco but I get most of your opinions and absolutely agree with the easy demon
Sirius is the first level with a boss fight, this was huge back then and this is where it gained its popularity. Yea the boss is bad but no one did boss fights before
deadlocked:
Pitchforks? No, i am getting my assult rifles..
ill try to say smth decent abt the levels you hate cause i think its funy
cherry blossom: a great break from how cherry team always seems so "corporate", its basically just them making a silly little level in 24 hours
i can see how you think that this level sucks for being a cherry team easy demon that could have been way better but also cherry team has made some really really really good bangers that arent extremes like upscope which is medium demon so theres some redemption for that.
sirius: ik sirius' bossfight is really dumb but isnt there way worse medium demons? also you cant really ignore how exceptional the boss actually is in terms of "bossfightness" especially for its time. its still more creative than many bossfights today.
forsaken neon: uhhhhhhhhh.... gameplay is creative........... ok i dislike forsaken neon too
i wanna be the guy: the better you are at needle type platformer gp the more fun this level becomes, trust. i beat this to becomes better at needle platformer gp and i hated it but yesterday i came back to it for speedrunning and it was way better aside from some specific jumps. its really really good for getting better at this type of gameplay. i do think its influence has been a bit over the top and less and less people are doing their own thing with gameplay but i dont think the gameplay style is even that bad. some people are already starting to get more creativ with needle gameplay such as adding wall jumps, double jumps, dash orbs for boosting, and even more creative gimmicks. the upcoming extreme "don" by tmco shows how needle gameplay can be very creative if done right! cant deny this deco is absolutely the worst deco ive ever seen tho lmfao
sakupen hell: yeah i agree i cant think of anything cool this level did......
the moon below: broooo i love this level sm... the atmosphere is on point and the gameplay isnt even that bad especially if youre used to that kind of gameplay. yeah the dash orb is stupid but its not THAT bad to the point where the entire level is brought down by it to such a significant degree that i would hate it
sakupen sircles: i honestly think theres worse. though i do think this level is just made to get sakupen circles "verified" and "rated" and "placed on the list" like i wouldnt say its the worst extreme when theres stuff like AOD and tunnel of despair that are just a nightmare to play
i hope you fume (respectfully)
IWBTG's gameplay style is exactly what people who play fangames play, also the needle style of gameplay had nothing to do with IWBTG it did not start anything lol. As someone who actually can play platformers that are difficult, this type of gameplay is the most fun. You probably dont hate this style of gameplay, you likely hate hard platformers. And if you disagree, find some hard gameplay that you like. Most people who complain about platformer gameplay just hate struggling on platformers, which is why i am putting you into this group. if you do enjoy other styles of hard platformer gameplay I will change my opinion.
bro has too much freetime
i had garbage experiences with almost every level you mentioned ur so based
I was picking medium demons to beat (after I beat my first one, kiln) and I looked at -Sirius- and thought, "wow, this looks fun" and then got to the bossfight and immediately exited the practice run and started playing B instead.
4:50 it was my first medium demon, i absolutely agree with your opinion
I agree sirius feels like a messy bossfight
I agree with the fact that the bossfight in Sirius is kind of trash gameplay but COME ON
I can honestly see why someone wouldn't like IWBTG, but I personally like it. It has very straightforward, no gimmick nonsense difficulty. I would honestly rather have every top 1 based off of it than something like chromaside.
I literally agree with every level you chosen
you are absolutely right about sirius. Visually speaking it's a masterpiece but the gameplay is horrendous.
Yeah, until the community realizes that IWBTG had terrible gp, I’m not playing any platformer extremes.
honestly besides the easy demon, fair enough lmao you got good points for those
you have to play it to understand the moon bellows dash orb imo
YOU ARE SO BASED OH MY GOD ILY WITH ALL OF THESE I AM NOT EVEN JOKING
when explaining extremes "bad hitboxes..." me: AVERNUS
I like CherryTeam levels and seeing Exen show off KOCMOC is what got me into the game so I have a soft spot for them. I do agree they should put the same love they put into KOCMOC and Psytokinesis into a medium demon so I can go for it as my first medium lol
yeah IKR Sirius is so overrated the memory is SO BAD

Ok no I have to back you up on Sirius. Istg that bossfight legit turns the level from a 6* to an Insane Demon, and it just balances out to a medium demon. My hardest is BLOODLUST, and I still haven't finished the level because the bossfight is so inconsistent and bad. I have always thought the boss sucks and will continue to side with you on such matter. It makes me wish it was done better because it looks really good for its time. (Also can we get a video of you talking about demons you like. I wants to hear you spreads the positivity.)
-sirius- on this is crazy
I was completely against you when mentioning Sirius as the worst medium demon. You won me over as soon as you mentioned Sakupen Circles though, what an awful extreme demon.
I got some picks of my own for extremes, so here they are.
Easy Extremes | The Ultimate Phase
Old unbalanced level with a hard dual ship part and a spam that feels like luck. First 40% is free, spam is stupid, dual ship has dual ship physics, Loogiah's part is impossible, and MaJacko's part has a random inverted slope.
Hard Extremes | Sonic Wave Rebirth
Sonic Wave but the gameplay is somehow worse and it's harder to see. Also somehow epic rated.
List Worthy Extremes | Silent clubstep
No explaination necessary if you have eyes that work.
Sonic wave rebirth I love more than any other sonic wave level honestly.
I’ve seen a few people put their opinions in the comments so I’ll just put mine 🤷♀️
Easy Demon: Horizon Zero
Medium Demon: Biru
Hard Demon: PG Clubstep
Insane Demon: Invisible Deadlocked
Extreme Demon: Tidal Wave
Feel free to debate me I guess 😁
So correct about Forsaken Neon. I beat it last week as my 6th hardest but when I had started going for it I originally planned for it to be a new hardest. The level is just so... underwhelming
hating -sirius- because the bossfight is memory is kinda crazy because literally every bossfight that doesnt handhold you with a literal indicated PATH to follow is memory. although i agree i dont really like the gameplay of it, i think your reasoning is quite silly.
Siruis is my favorite medium demon 😢
I agree with everything but sedulous, sedulous is fun (I like that type of gameplay) and the deco is great
bro i was looking at the gddl to see how people rated laser room
you rated it a tier 8 bro 😂 i found it a tier 2 such different opinion
(like no offence, sorry if you found anything bad if youre reading this)
Nothingisscary dropping another controversial banger
Nah bro is actually based with 99% of the opinions ngl
The only thing I disagree with is sakupen hell and forsaken neon but only because I've grown fond of their dogwater gameplay to the poin that I've convinced myself that I like it that way
My list would be:
Easy Demon - Dilation by nampac
Just a really shitty nothingburger level from early 2.1 with bad transitions, hitboxes, and chokepoints scattered around. While it may be a 2/10, it's still my least favourite easy demon because you don't really get time to form strong opinions on Easy Demons once you've beaten over 1000 of them.
Medium Demon - nandertale by im fernando
Only beat this one recently, and it's just AWFUL. REALLY bad.
A couple quick dishonourable mentions because these could be interchangable:
One Space by Zoroa: Banned song on a medium demon, really REALLY boring gameplay, hated playing this every time I tried to beat it.
Hot Dog Redux by kr1t: Self-explanatory, if you've seen the level you'll know what I mean.
Windings by Rabb2t: I usually really advocate for map pack love, there are so many levels in them that get way too much hate for what they are (square adventure, pg clubstep)... but uhhh Windings deserves the hate :)
Krakens Curse by FrostDragonGD: Old weekly demon that has a REALLY FUCKING HARD SPIDER halfway through the level. Also super obnoxious song, I hate Teminite music.
Hard Demon - Sedulous by Samifying
I was ESTATIC when you gave this mention in your list. :))))
Insane Demon - Thanatophobia by ARtu
Always have disliked this level, and that dislike grew more and more when I started casually playing it. :)
(but no it's not harder than Acu, I had it above for a while but I moved it down and it will stay there)
Extreme Demon - Cat Planet by IcEDCave
I despise this level for two reasons.
EXTREMELY RTRUE!!! EXTERMELY !!! :3
One thing I will say in defence of Sakupen Hell
The hitboxes really aren't that bad
Sure, there's a few random bushes that stick out
but you can easily learn where to go upper or lower within the corridors
and the resultant gaps are still a lot more lenient than 15-18
I've experienced a lot more pain on other maps
How is I wanna be the guy a huge milestone?
I think infinite circles is the worst easy demon in my opinion
nothingisscary being nitpicky like my math teacher:
You should try the opposite with your favorite demons of each level (You were probably already hinting at that at the end though)
I thought you would've chosen Still Life for worst easy demon
Still life is medium demon and not even close to the worst. The gameplay is ass but it’s a great artpiece
My favorite difficulty in the game is the hard demon. I have played and beaten some hard demons that became my all time favorites. Yesterday, while looking what hard demon to beat next, since i dont have that many beaten, i approached Darkness Keeper. The most miserable "hard" demon ive ever played.
I enjoyed darkness keeper but the gameplay is REALLY strange
Here’s my picks solely from experience playing the levels:
Easy demon: Wild West
Medium Demon: ChipWorld
Hard Demon: Eastal (or BOXED if we’re counting platformers)
These are my two least favorite demons in GD.
Insane Demon: Fortitude, Another Challenge, or Rupture
Extreme Demon: I haven’t yet hated an extreme, but the one I enjoyed the least is probably Wind Storm

Bro I was not prepared to see sirius on this list. Based honestly, it's still the only non extreme demon that I haven't completed on the first page when searching by most liked levels in the game
Edit: just saw forsaken neon and I am just amazed by the amount of based opinions you have
We have an interesting common ground even though we have a really different taste. Unnerfed Sakupen Circles is my all time favorite GD level, but I absolutely hate this new version for all the reasons you presented! I was obsessed with this level for years, and now discovering that the version they verified is just some lame nerfed piece of crap, I am enraged.
