  • FlightLine RC Spitfire Mk.IX 1600mm (63") Wingspan: ESSENTIAL RC FLIGHT TEST
    AVAILABLE HERE: www.motionrc.eu/products/flig...
James takes me by surprise and rocks up with the NEW FlightLine RC Spitfire from Motion RC. At 1.6m wingspan this is a BIG electric foamie that arrives with everything pre-installed. You just need to drop in your receiver and 6S5000 lipo flight battery before you take to the skies and tear around hunting for bandits.
Filmed by Dom Mitchell for the 'Essential RC' UA-cam channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 Pro 4K camcorder.

Awesome plane! In all my planes and jets I install a hobby eagle gyro, which are sold on Motionrc's site, and they are amazing!! Using the gyro you can't even tell there's wind blowing the plane around!

My rule when i land and the plane starts to jump, is to abort the landing and try again. Be sure: it is the best way to keep your plane undamaged. Said that, i love the Spit and i hope to get it soon from MOTION RC Europe. Having just bought the Yak-130 70mm edf , and aiming also to the C-130 by Avios and again Freewing F14 and A10, i have to think seriously what to buy first! it is always a pain for the wallet when you love planes and RC planes, especially now that they have reached the top of accuracy with details and electronics on board!

When you consider that the average age of a student pilot in 1940 was 18 years old , combine that the next time you see a model A F0RD or tin Lizzy from that time period try climbing into either it would seem people where smaller back then ,Might that pilot although small in stature represent the HUGE Heart those" Few "had ?

The Spitfire is always the Spitfire: it is a joy to see it, in flight or on the ground, it will always be a nice airplane. As for cars it can be Jaguar and E type or Ferrari redhead or even the Beetle Wv. objects that entered history.
The only thing that seems a bit '"crooked" in the model is the cannon on the right wing: it seems to me that it is a bit' bent down, am I wrong?
Hi Dom and thank for sharing these nices videos!

My main concern with any Spit is landing with those narrow track tires.

That's half the fun with a Spitfire! Takes skill and practice

Looks like it could use a gyro. My park flyer 1/3 the size of that spitfire flew tighter then what I’m seeing in this clip with about the same wind factor. It had a 6 axis gyro in it.

Recently i bought the 1200mm model from motion rc, plane came with cracked wing, so i fixed it and then the right aileron servo was defective. Haven’t flown it yet. My first and last plane purchase from motion rc. Hope it flies as go as yours did. I installed spectrum safe select receiver 637 I believe

Throw a gyro rx in that it will steady it right out in windy conditions

The only possible way it could be better (IMHO) is if it was a Hurricane :)

Was it my ears or is there some original Spitfire sound being amplified ? I thought I heard some evidence of that but there were no comments made !

In WW2, after consuming all young menon forced military service, they started recruiting kids as fighter pilots, that's y pilot is scale wise too small
