Thank you. But in my case when I choose SupportAssist OS Recovery in Bios, the software does not initialize, instead the Windows 10 started normally.

Almost 2 hour to complete.. needed for OS recovery including backup of all applications. Bcoz the hard disk read/write speed is below average ( stock HDD).

Mine doesn't give me a boot option. It just gives "Recover BIOS" ans "Reset BIOS settings to default" and when I press either one I get "ifwi with lower security version" I don't know what to do

I have stick usb recovery restore and it comes with the purchase of the laptop the microsoft ,it also requires to have at least 2 GB usb backup recovery restore ,and also it says to take the dell's usb port off after finishing then to restart take off the other required usb port and put your email then its recovery restored

I have a problem on my dell g5 not working anymore the restore image. But the partition recovery on my drive still there. But the SupportAssist OS Recovery cannot see it.
I dont have the os recovery option there. Why is that? How do i get to it? My laptop wont boot on
Go to bios setup and you'll find the os recovery option.
Enable it , save it and then restart the pc and when you'll press F12, you'll find it.

Sorry i did not get your question. However, if you would like to reset your laptop's operating system i mean windows then there are to option, one by keeping the user data and reset the settings, on the other hand removing the user data and reset the windows into factory setting like a brand-new machine.
However, sometimes during resetting the windows could go wrong during the process , so it is always better to keep the data backed up into an external drive like USB pen drive or external hard drive before you proceed the OS recovery.

how can i reinstall dell supportassist recovery partition after formatting full HDD???? . i want to restore dell inspiron 5567 to full factory settings ( one partition for original windows image(osbackup) , other for supportassist recovery, rest for storage) . plz make clear that i am not talking about supportassist application. i am talking about reinstalling the supportassist recovery (that option in bios is not available in my system).

When you want to back up , where can you store you’re data on the hard drive?
Does it give any option to choose the backup location? if not, then it would back up by default location.
When i click f12 when launching computer, it goes to the same screen but there is no OS recovery option?

Important: SupporAssist OS Recovery must be enabled in the system BIOS for this option to show up.
Follow these steps to enable SupportAssist OS Recovery:
Turn on or restart your computer
When the Dell logo is displayed, press F12 to access the BIOS Setup.
Go to Support Assist System Resolution or SupportAssist depending on your BIOS version
Go to SupportAssist OS Recovery
Click on the checkbox to enable SupportAssist OS Recovery or SupportAssist depending on your BIOS version
Save and exit the BIOS, the system will restart, and now you can start the process from Step 1.

I'm doing this with Windows 11 on a Dell Inspiron. The only problem is that it when it gets to the installation it is only in Chinese! I've seen a couple of other people posting the same problem but no solution. There is a language option on the first screen, but it is indeed set to English. Any ideas? I tried the SupportAssist found on the boot options (like your video), but also tried the webversion to create a new USB (using a different computer), but neither one worked.
"Reset to factory setting" greyed out. What should I do ?
Make sure there the bios is not password protected? Backup your data Before you do anything! Try to reinstall the windows is this is not working.

Whats the difference between factory reset and resetting it to....basically original windows 11 OS? I know dell comes with bloatware.

Btw do make sure to plug in your charger..

Hi, mate. it should be same if the bios version are the same of the both laptop. May i know why you would like to transfer the OS system.
Its always best to install the fresh windows for best speed. sometimes os clone does not get smoothly on the windows platform.

I backed up c drive but no option to back up D and E drive...will i be able to get the data from D and E after factory reset???

It is very simple and easy to back up the data in another partition rather than the C Drive. Just take out the hard drive physically and connect it to a SATA to USB converter and plug in to a different pc to pull out all the data before you format the entire drive.

At first my laptop couldn't open up it said Error Code and Repair ...So I tryed to get in doing diagnostic nothing wrong ,I also just try to click on F2, F12..how to repair ,so I got the Recovery Restore USB Stick it also requires to GB 2 So F12 then scroll down to MSFT NORB PMAP Click Enter .Step by Step directions.

Please download the correct wireless network adapter driver from the official website! In this case you either need a wire connection or different laptop to download the driver !!
