THANK YOU FOR NOT PUTTING ANY MUSIC TO THIS ) Their is nothing more exciting to hear then the sound of an old Vette. I LOVE that throaty sound these cars have. It just does something to me. One of these days..... )
I just bought a 74 'vette stingray as a restoration project. I have never restored a old Corvette before and I was wondering where the best spots are to buy classic Corvette parts. I'm talking like new brakes, interior, exhaust, t-top parts, etc. I know I am quite late to this video but I hope u will see this because I want to turn the rust bucket I just bought to a car like yours. BTW love the push to start button
Hi, welcome to 1974! A lot of good things about that year, first, your floor panels are in fibreglass so you'll never need to worry about rust like the 1975 and up. No need for catalytic converters since they showed up only in 1975. So you can go true open dual exhaust if you want. So now to answer your question, I've bought most of my resto parts from corvette america, their interiors are very nice, i've redone my interior completely by the way. There are some parts i've ordered from mid america and ecklers but for some reason some of their parts came back in boxes labeled by corvette america, so they must buy some of their stock from them too i guess. Good luck with yours project and don't hesitate to ask me any question, you can find me on facebook too.
@@tepot5 My very first Corvette was an almost new 1974 coupe(I was barely 19), then at 20, I bought my second one, a '75 convertible. Fast forward 41 years(ouch), and I still drive a Corvette('96 convertible). Actually I just sold my other car, a '91 coupe. Coolest thing about your '74 is the anniversary wheels, and what appears to be '78/'79 trim, and the sound, and the push button start. Bottom line, your car is a prime example of how a classic later model C3 should be. Glad you still have the car. (Hey check out *The Corvette Ben* also here on *UA-cam,* he rebuilds mostly C3 Corvettes, and is a decent mechanic there North of Dallas, Tx). Thanks for the response. Your baby is beyond beautiful.
Great sound! So, what did you do to the exhaust? Remove mufflers & cat? All the rest is stock? Also, is that START button 12V fed through a switched power wire or a direct 12v? Thanks!
First. No cat on a 1974. Exhaust are chambered exhaust connected to long tube headers. It’s a true dual exhaust. You can buy them at any corvette online supplier. They are already molded for your car from headers to back. One kit. Engine is modified. Mild idle cam, aluminum heads etc..
@@Nitrodan73 it’s called chambered exhaust. They are available at any corvette online distributor. They are already molded for the car from headers to back
True, there is no music. But the symphony of that orgasmic V8 is all the music we'll ever need.
No Music? I heard all my favorite music throughout the whole video!
Ya beat me to it! ;)

Exactly! If wanted to hear ”born to be wild” for the 1000:th time, i’d google the video.

This is how car vids are supposed to be , this is the music
When he did the burnout, my first thought was how great it sounds. My second thought was the 4 u-joints back there.
What an absolute beauty this car is! Too bad I can only dream about ever driving, let alone owning such a thing.
Sucks that they don’t make cars like this anymore
This is the BADDEST title you could have made for this video 🇺🇸😎👍
Miss my 76.. with all of its 180 horses..

That blue C3….Bad girl!😍
In 1976 I had a T-shirt that said "wrap your ass in fiberglass" with a iron on picture of a vet. I was 10 and my mom still let me wear it to school!

That sound!
Original exhaust?
Why is this video 2 hours long?
Awesome!! what engine are you running ? to you have a body kit or something ? it looks very nice!
No body kit, just a front and rear spoiler, all original except the 400hp chevy 350 engine and exhaust
lindo esse corvete,sonho consumo
Very cool video! What was the music you had? I've had a couple taken off too.
Go with a 74. Don't need a catalytic converter. Has more potential.
