Hi, Amber with Tara counts as betrayal to me lol
Also Jill with Sydney
EXCELLENT WORK. WATCHMOJO MOVIES BETRAYED
The villain in detective pikachu is confusing
no
"Do you know the saddest thing about betrayal? It never comes from your enemies. "
Yes, but those whom u trusted the most 😢
Definition of "Keep Your Enemies Close, and Your Friends Even Closer"
Worse if it's from your own family
Wrong! Betrayal only comes from your enemies, but only the enemies you thought were your friends!
🙃
Tim Roth’s character Mr. Orange on Reservoir Dogs was an undercover cop, not a corrupt cop.
Exactly. I knew he would be there because the film is from Tarantino and it is a classic but it had nothing to do with the subject, there had to be an element of hubrys, greed or moral corruption, here the man was doing his job.
Cutting his ear off was a bit much. He's not a dirty cop, just doing his job. Not a big Tarantino fan.
@@dicksonfranssen Mr Orange didn't cut anyone's ear off. In fact he punished the guy thst did.
I wasn’t expecting Billy to be Ghostface.
He was one of them. Billy was the ring-leader
Billy, absolutely. And he had to have a sidekick. But I was thinking it would be someone unexpected. Stu was crazy and an ass, but not a killer.
Rose seemed almost too good to be true as the understanding girlfriend to Chris, which made her betrayal even more shocking.
If you knew anything about Batman before Batman Begins in 2005, then you knew exactly where Harvey's path was taken him. That was no surprise, that was a literal expectation.
still hurts every time!
Mr Waternoose. Mike and Sully trusted him but he banished them.
Lando didn't really betray Han. He didn't have much of a choice and made things right as soon as he could.
No kidding being one of the last free fuel processors not tied in with the empire he had a whole cities lives at stake.
Thank you! I have been saying this for years. He would have been a scumbag if he had let his people die.
Billy's betrayal in scream was the worst
John Wick 3 - After surviving an army of High Table Killers Winston shoots John off the roof of The Continental. That betrayal legit ticked me off. 💢
That was in Chapter 3, but they thankfully had an understanding by the 4th
@@julioramirez1053My bad been a while since I watched that one.
I think he was saving him at the end.
All of 3 pissed me off. We don't watch that one.
Billy’s revenge was petty. She had nothing to do with what the mom did. He already killed the mom.
A prequel would have been great.
It’s too late now.
I agree
Eve Harrington betrays Margo Channing, "All About Eve".
HAL betrays the humans, "2001: A Space Odyssey"
Scar kills Mufasa, "The Lion King".
Carl Breuner betrays Sam Wheat, "Ghost".
Yes! Carl! That was cruel what he did, even if his intention wasn’t to have Sam killed.
Ed Norton in Italian job
No Robert The Bruce in Braveheart? C'mon...When William removes his helmet in the battlefield and find out that is Robert...man, I felt that, the deliver of Mel Gibson in that scene is just amazing and heartbreaking
100% agreed. One of the all time great movies too.
Han should’ve known something was up with a smooth criminal like Lando. Yes, he made up for his betrayal by assisting in the escape, but that deal with the Empire “is getting worse all the time.”
Leia had "a bad feeling about this."
Other honorable mentions
Gwen Grayson - “Sky High” (2005)
Ichiro Yashida - “The Wolverine” (2013)
Stinky Pete - “Toy Story 2” (1999)
Dr. Olivia Octavius - “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” (2018)
Sir Lancelot - "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" (2014)
Great mention on Stinky Pete
damn, forgot about Stinky Pete .... bro turned on the TV and wanted to sit in tokyo
@@40ozmangi all he wanted was to be appreciated. "Spending an eternity on a dime store shelf, watching every other toy be sold!!"
Sentinel prime - transformers dotm
Don't forget Repunzel: Shreik The 3rd
And
Billy Clayton: Tarzan.
I know you gave it a quick mention, but I feel like Obadiah’s betrayal was worse than Alexander’s. He was not only Tony’s friend and confidant, but also his dad’s.
Denis Nedry - Jurassic Park
And Eli Mills - Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
The winter soldier was sad. 😢🎉
Bucky was brainwashed.
The Harvey Dent/Two-Face was obvious for anyone who's familiar with Batman.😊
I will never forgive rose Armitage in that get out movie 😤
Aliens is one of my all-time favorite movies. Burke definitely deserves to be on this list!
Burke was pathetic.
Hans from Frozen and Bellwether from Zootopia are other good examples. I would say Humpty Dumpty from Puss in Boots, but at least he had a change of heart.
My first experience with the concept of betrayal was with saruman in Lord of the rings. My dad read it to me when I was little and I remember being upset that a friend could turn on someone like that.
Blade 2 the head bomb scene, that was a pretty jacked up betrayal
Honorable mention: Queen & Slim (2019) - Bertrand E. Boyd II
Ernesto de la Cruz not did he kill hector for his songs and got away with it but it also caused hectors family to think he abandoned them which almost got him forgotten
Hans from Frozen? Clayton from Tarzan?
Harrison Ford in What Lies Beneath, Bo Burnham in Promising Young Woman
I think Anakins betrayal would have been far worse had we not known it was coming.
Matrix: Cipher literally means secret and/or zero. Kind of a clue
And Mr Orange was a detective not a corrupt cop. SMH
Where’s sentinel prime betrayal?
Definitely especially when he killed ironhide
@@matthew_natividad
God rest his soul, IRONHIDE
@@SuperiorPhantom-dx6vhspark but yeah
@@SuperiorPhantom-dx6vhat least he can say only a prime can defeat him
Amazing video watch mojo,fantastic job.
Rapunzel - Shrek the Third (2007),
Miranda Tate/Talia Al Ghul - The Dark Knight Rises (2012),
Koba - Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014),
Teresa - Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015),
Ephialtes - 300 (2006),
Scar - The Lion King (1994),
Lotso - Toy Story 3 (2010),
Commander Rourke - Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001),
Speckles - G-Force (2009),
Obadiah Stane - Iron Man (2008),
Mr. Scroop - Treasure Planet, (2002),
Clayton - Tarzan (1999),
Evanora - Oz The Great and Powerful (2013),
Agent Whiskey - Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017),
Dr. Yeuh - Dune Part One (2021),
Sienna Brooks - Inferno (2016),
Logan Ash - No Time To Die (2021)
and Denis Nedry - Jurassic Park (1993)
Number 3 I see less as a betrayal and more of man who has been completely broken trying to make sense of the world. And he's not all there anymore. Number 1 hurt though, because spoiler character was always very kind, a little pathetic, and just kind of wanted to be part of the family. But they really twist the knife in when they show the flashback in the end and he was the only one to support his brother joining the army. Like it hurts. It hurts so much.
264: Stu is the shock to me. Even though Scream is one of the horror movies to have a great twist of two killers. Stu shocked me but not Billy. When his phone dropped out of his pocket, I had little suspicions
Edward from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Even though it was brief it was still painful. Jade in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, she played Liu like a fiddle. Finally Benny in the Mummy, the greatest backstabber of them all.
If you see Sean Bean in a movie (sans GOT) and don't know he's the bad guy, you need to spend more time at the cinema.
265: Out of all the movies, I have a question for Scream. How is Billy Loomis a dad when he was nothing but a ghost for his two daughters in 2022’s Scream and Scream VI?
Every family has a Fredo! EVERY family.
“It would be an honor if you joined us.”
Just one of the many bad-ass lines and scenes in TESB.
You almost have it down. It’s “We would be honored if you would join us.”
"I know." 😊
Don’t forget boba fett appear behind
@@tvalokibatman6563kinda funny, the way boba smoothly steps out to reveal himself right after Vader disarms and greets them, and everyone rushed in to surround our heros. I want to see the scene that must have happened a few minutes prior where Vader explains the plan…”ohh I know, I know, you guys hide over there around the corner, and you, bounty hunter! Hide back there and when lando lures them into the room I’ll surprise them with by using the force, greet them ominously, then u guys all rush in, then boba, u swing out from behind the curtains all bad ass!…and need I remind you, NO DISINTEGRATIONS!!!”
After watching Scary Movie so many times and Scream only once, I have completely forgotten why that guy was the killer.
Because Sydney's mother was having an affair with his dad. He killed Sydney's mom, and then he started killing all of Sydney's friends to get to her
Sydney's Mum was having an affair with his Dad, causing the breakdown of his family and his mother to leave. If you take a deep dive into the original propsed script the reasons behind Billy & Stu killing Sydney's mum was bc she had SA'd them. This was changed as it would have made the movie too dark & not the classic it ende up becoming
Which was dumb. He had basically got away with it.
There was no need to kill again.
Now he dead.
Smh.
Lando getting branded a traitor is so unfair. He’s not even an old friend of Han, just some guy he played cards with years ago. Plus Lando had an entire city to look out for. You really think Lando would throw all them to the Empire over Han? Plus the dude helped the rebellion as soon as he could after the fact
Right?
Dr. Robotnik betraying Knuckles and going after the Master Emerald for himself - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022)
You can't blame Harvey. It was the Joker's fault.
266: I very much agree with Peter Petigrew on this list
Harvey didn’t really turn he just snapped
THESE WORST MOVIE BETRAYALS WERE MORE LIKE INFURIATING THAN HEARTBREAKING! 🎬🎥🎞️👎🤬
"Good morning, Mr. Phelps."
Eddie Guerrero, Chavo, Vicky, Batista, domikin mysterio, santo Escobar, Carlto turning on Rey mysterio should be on this list
Peter B Parker and Gwen Stacy Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse. Keeping from Miles that he was an anomaly because he technically wasn't suppose to have been bitten by the Earth 42 spider. Technically, Miguel could be seen as the traitor to the name Spider-Man because he's more "We have to/must prevent the Multiverse from collapsing from multiversal anomalies appearing in universes where they shouldn't be."
I’ve not seen Goldeneye but know of the ending.
Major Grant in Die Hard 2
Carlo in The Godfather
Commander Krill in Under Siege
Definitely Billy Loomis and Stu on scream
Here's one last honorable mention: Dr Emma Russel from Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters.
Loved them all, but saw them all coming but didn't spoil for others.
Wow. No Prince Hans of the Southern Isles?
David Kleinfeld's betrayal of Carlito in Carlito's way I would have put as a honorable mention. Seems Al Pacino's characters get betrayed a lot 🤣
Even in Scarface?
Agent Carter's betrayal of Steve Rogers is way greater than that of Pierce. In 'What If' S2 it's revealed that Carter KNEW Bucky was the Winter Soldier yet she didn't do anything to help and save him, even though she knew just how important Bucky is to Steve. If that's not a betrayal I don't know what is...😤
Interesting thumbnail, WatchMojo. 😅
Yea. BRAVEHEART and THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO
Oh my God yes The Count of Monte Cristo, his so-called best friend .
When you say "worst", do mean "this betrayal was poorly thought out and/or executed" or is it along the lines of "I can’t believe you done this"? Can’t tell from the title...
Always happy to see Robert Redford, even if he plays a bad guy!🥰😉
" get out " betrayal was the most shoking one
the alec trevelyan actually shocked me
Stinky Pete Betrayed Woody and the others in Toy Story 2
"What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost 😈"
I was expecting ray winstone from indiana jones kingdom of crystal skull.
I'm sorry, but "Having your girlfriend as a Nazi" has to be a typo. Nobody says it that way.
I can think of 2, both from Game of Thrones. First, Ned Stark's betrayal by Little Finger and of course, the Red Wedding.
This list is for movies only.
You said it, though: Anakin's betrayal was much more consequential to the overall story than Lando's was, and Lando redeemed himself almost immediately, while it took Anakin years to redeem himself.
The worst form of betrayal comes from someone you deeply trusted
I moved 3,000 miles to get away from 2 stalkers. The added benefit was leaving my "trusted friends" behind. All but 3 who were women whose pants I never tried to get into. Respect comes before trust.
I have only seen a few of these, but was surprised for each one. 😮
Someone forgot about Braveheart betrayal, the most hineous for an Oscar Nominee.
Braveheart is criminally under rated in today's world. Seeing Wallace's heart break when he removes Bruce's helmet was a gut punch.
Uncle Tamir from the Dictator doesn't even count?
Can anyone tell me the names of all the movies in this video because I haven't watched the video (to avoid the spoilers obviously) but I want to know the movie's names
Guess I’ll have to watch the Godfather again. I was confused why Fredo was killed lol.
Fredo was more of a pawn but he tried to negotiate power for himself secretly in a move that backfired and nearly got Michael killed.
Benny from the original total recall film
My friends were pissed that I figured out that Billy and Stu were the killers 20 minutes into the movie. Which is why they stopped watching the scream movies with me.🤣
I was surprised by Stu to be honest with you. When they pushed the movie out it was not as easily spoiled back then but I remember the hype train. Going in you think there is only 1 killer. I suppose at age 11 at the time you succumb to movie traps a lot easier. I knew Billy was the killer immediately but I had not anticipated there would be 2 killers the first time watching it.
Great list!! Thank you😊
Just when you thought you can trust a guy ( Lando )
Exactly how was Mr Orange a corrupt cop?!?
MY FAVOURITE R RATED MOVIES SCREAM 1996 AND JOKER 2019
Lt Hedgecock-Robocop 1987
Glenn Talbot-Hulk 2003
Riley-Fast and Furious 6
I dislike Bertholdt and Reiner 50 years ago
Well for those that watched the films based off the books you can say you saw that coming if you did read the books
Alonzo Harris (Denzel Washington) Training Day
Y'all forgot sarge from doom
1:05 they have sound effects
Yes
WHERE IS ANAKIN SKYWALKER
Call them snake moves.
Rose Armitage should be #1
Mr. Orange was not a turn or crooked cop he was undercover
Robert the Bruce: Braveheart! To me, one of the most brutal movie betrayals. Because of his fear of his father and enabling the knobles vs respect for Wallace and belief in the strength of Scotland!
Absolutely, iconic movie and gut wrenching betrayal.
"MAN F**K LANDO CALRISSIAN" - Hooper X
White boy always gotta evoke the holy trilogy.
Top 10 best movie betrayals
Where's Ozymandius in Watchmen?
What a lackluster list
How about HAL-9000 ?
