The day Dave returned to the show after his heart surgery he sat sat at the desk and said never, ever ever give up. And then then his life began again. His life is inspired.
Him doing his show through the writers strike paying out of his own pocket for them was amazing. He went from 'generic late night host' to 'great bloke' with that act.
David Letterman has been AWESOME, post-tv-show career, in "The Years of Living Dangerously" on National Geographic, where he travelled to India to discuss the serious problem of Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW).
It's like watching a monologue on the Late Show. I miss this guy. He's my childhood every late night. And introducing me to irregular sleep patterns.

He is one of the greatest talk show hosts, ever!

kabztunes conan did the same. Great guys!
I felt like I was in 1985, a high school kid watching and about to be late again for school because I had to watch Dave. Oh man I am old. Lol.
When David mentioned talking about himself, and that everything would be alright; to me, that was a real pause for thought and reflection!
Well deserved. Thanks Dave for all your laughs
Thanks for uploading this! 😁👍
Thank you David! Give Martin Short a fucking Mark prize already. Again thank you David for saying that.
"I want to thank lonny donny" - Dave

I'm glad David didn't make his usual entrance, the air friction might have ignited his beard!
The only thing missing is The Lone Ranger story
I miss him and to hell with those who denigrate him...
All the admiration lost when he said “Amy Schumer”
was Jay Leno there, did he say anything?
I'll never understand his appreciation for Amy schumer, I feel she is a bottom feeder in the comedy world
I just don’t see Amy Schumer receiving any awards.
OfficialJoeKingOne ..she did..
Amy will never get this award and im happy for that
Well, that was uninspired.
Pedro Henrique de Abreu Seabra de Mello It was an acceptance speech on PBS. What more do you expect?
Never found him funny.
Yet your here....bothering the millions who did with your useless opinion
