It's like watching a monologue on the Late Show. I miss this guy. He's my childhood every late night. And introducing me to irregular sleep patterns.

The day Dave returned to the show after his heart surgery he sat sat at the desk and said never, ever ever give up. And then then his life began again. His life is inspired.

He is one of the greatest talk show hosts, ever!

Him doing his show through the writers strike paying out of his own pocket for them was amazing. He went from 'generic late night host' to 'great bloke' with that act.

I felt like I was in 1985, a high school kid watching and about to be late again for school because I had to watch Dave. Oh man I am old. Lol.

When David mentioned talking about himself, and that everything would be alright; to me, that was a real pause for thought and reflection!

David Letterman has been AWESOME, post-tv-show career, in "The Years of Living Dangerously" on National Geographic, where he travelled to India to discuss the serious problem of Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW).

I'm glad David didn't make his usual entrance, the air friction might have ignited his beard!

I'll never understand his appreciation for Amy schumer, I feel she is a bottom feeder in the comedy world
