I do think the limitation of only being able to level once at a time is quite awkward because it creates these meta-ing scenarios that take some of the joy away from bagging a massive treasure hoard - especially for the low levelled characters
I have removed the restriction, going forward.

Omg a full set of tiles, access to the troll lifts and the magic rugs? The AV club is gonna be unstoppable from now on, popping in and out of dungeon levels.

Feels weird to be watching an episode on time. Poor Sam has no luck adventuring. First captured by Gerrilad. Now Mummy rot. But lots of goodies!

Another great episode with all five members of the AV club present. Great job with the traps and that is a boat lid of treasure. Titus, Sam, Upior, and Breggi are going to turbo leveling! Cannot wait for the detox session which could go on for hours given the new toys the boys have found!

Oh man the rugs are such cool and exciting items. Ted’s idea of using them to get to Gosterwick (if they have the range) was fantastic! Hopefully the AV club can finally cash in the butt note.
I'm a little behind at this point. Lots going on. But man, what a session. Lots of game changing stuff in this session alone. And slipping the rug through doors - genius! Excellent gameplay from everyone

Everything has a reason. So… what’s the ‘why’ for the secret room off the treasure chamber leading to the chasm? There’s a question for form following function to unravel there.
I think it didn't originally lead to a chasm, but somewhere else now destroyed by the chasm's creation.
Except I thought it had been established that the chasm predated the halls, and they had been built around it. It could have had a cult function - access for a select group for whom the treasure wasn’t important (or who continued to add to the treasure after the main doors were sealed. It just seems wrong to have a second entrance to what is otherwise such a well protected area.
@guerintueno2066 It pre-dates certain parts of the civilized Halls, but not all. The best example shown thus far of Archontean architecture pre-dating the Chasm is the northern chamber on the Debouche level that has the big Thoth statue. This is where some goblins got chewed up by a guardian of some sort off screen, and where the party fought some spiders crawling out of the chasm. That chamber was cleft in twain by the chasm.
Perhaps it was the builders' exit?

a device of dungeon design: Perhaps that door is one way, and NOT accessible from the chasm side.
Explorers, may find that alcove behind the vines if climbing around, but with a one-way door there, it may just serve as a hint--enticing them to loop around and try to find a way in
Yeah that’s the sort of thing I was wondering - given the number of deliberate feints and murder traps around. Some sort of misdirect, could be possible. But John’s indicated above that this bit of the chasm may have come after the construction.
