i'd like to know your take on Phantams spells and them causing effects for example, if Phantasm is used to create yellow fungus on the wall, which spits spores (and enemy supposed to save or die), or create a posionous enemy that does save or die, or medusa with her sight attack - do you allow it? Damage might be temporary, and enemy simply falls down unconscious, but is this somehing you'd allow?

I dont tend to comment but im truly dreading the end of the series, you all sold me on ose and this week I'll be running my first game in dolmenwood. so thank you for this excellent example on the virtues and fun times one can have with old school play. Throwing fireballs and lighting around is fun too, but im so pump for my players to be poking stuff with a stick.

Love the show, and maybe its too late in the campaign, but have you guys considered swapping out for proffesional voice actors and scripting the campaign around a dramatic narrative that culiminates in a climactic confrontation with a supervillian connected to a dark secret in Mort the Goblins tragic past. Maybe Bort the Goblin. He could do a speach.

Late to this party, but just stumbled upon this video and wanted to say this game looks great. I'm a big fan of OSE (and own those books), which has become my preferred system for fantasy games. However, "Dolmenwood" has enough in common, yet enough innovation, to make it interesting as a standalone fantasy game. If I end up picking it up, I'd run it as a separate campaign from my own homebrew. I'll keep an eye on this. I'm sure I missed the kickstarter already (a year later), but a quick check of the necrotic gnome site shows these books are not available for purchase yet, so looks like everything is still being manufactured. I love how the final delve has started with conspiracy theories up the wazoo! I do wonder if any of the aliens survived all those years without being in a Chamber tho. If Kerbog Khan were to be one, which I'm not sure is the case, he would be the only alive and out and about one you've encountered, right?

David is so close to the truth about Khan and yet so far. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. He’s a perpetually pimple faced goth teen in his mom’s basement. He can’t leave because his only food source is the steady stream of pizza rolls his mother prepares for him.

It's so much fun watching the AV Club fly down rabbit holes based on what they extrapolate.
