Roy and Fuecoco is so adorable together!! I just love their friendship, and how Fuecoco looks up to Friede’s Charizard. I kinda hope when Fuecoco becomes Skeledirge, there is somewhat of a depression like Goh and Sobble. Through the perspective of Fuecoco feeling inspired of just being him instead of wanting to be like Charizard. But their friendship is so adorable!! I can’t wait for the next episode!! Did you get the Hatenna plush yet? I can’t wait to get the Terapago plush for my birthday next month (alternatively I’d go with Chien Pao)

Honestly, Amethio being Gibeon's grandson makes sense. Aside from Terapagos yelling at him, his character arc has some similarities to Zuko from Avatar since he's the only member of the Explorers with his own bodyguards (Zirc & Onia), he gets special treatment from Hamber like Iroh did for Zuko, he desperately wants to prove himself, & the other Explorers treat like a little prince who gets in the way (similar to how Zuko was treated by the Fire Nation when he was banished)
this episode made me so jealous cause it came out during some of the hottest summer days where I'm from, and EVEN WORSE our AC broke like 2 days ago, I'm sweating up a storm in here. At least the gang got to play in the snow... very cute episode, I love seeing Roy and Fuecoco's bond growing even stronger. I have a really good feeling about Fuecoco either evolving in the next episode or learning a new move (but his arsenal right now is PACKED so I think he deserves the evolution)
The episode was cute but it infuriated me when Roy and Fuecoco were only a few feet away from and somehow didn't see each other purely for the sake of padding out the runtime. I also think that this episode did a lot of what ep 51 did just with Roy and Fuecoco as well as under a much simpler conflict. But personally I still prefer 51 because it was more nuanced with Floragato's character. Most say that what 51 did was redundant but i actually see it as progressing Floragato. When Sprig was jealous, that jealousy was to serve Liko's development in recognizing her partner's feelings and being more considerate but never really developed Sprig out of jealousy. Ep 51 was where Floragato moves on from that jealousy as she needed to be the one to recognize Liko's feelings and the responsibities she has with her other pokemon. Essentially Floragato was learning to be responsible just like how Liko has been. Another thing to note is that when Floragato's fur spiked and slightly harmed Liko I can tell that this was in reference to the events of Ep 40 where Sprig/Floragato gets upset when hurting someone she cares about which shows that Floragato may have some leftover trauma of sorts. I may be in the minority here when it comes to 51, but that's how I viewed the ep from the start.
HZ051 is among my top favorites too! What's unique about the Pokemon anime is that both human and mons' are part of the main cast, but episodes that develop Pokemon as characters are often overlooked.
Guess who's back, back again, Mark's back, tell a friend~ I've been offline for a couple of days, and you can't imagine the smile on my face when I saw you uploaded new vids - I don't really have a whole hour free, so I guess I'll start with this one for now. 😅 Glad to have you back, champ! 🤩 This really wasn't the episode I was expecting after a two week break, but I am always a sucker for these calm, joyful, and charming episodes. The touch of Roy and Fuecoco going through the images of their past adventures was really nice - hope they do it again sometime. And I overall find this is a good episode that further builds their bond before the battle showdown in the next episode. Looking forward to what's next!

My prediction is, Roy won his battle against Brassius while the others lost their first battle against Gym Leaders, Dot managed a win over Poppy while the others lost; so I believe Dot (she already did) and Roy will loose these battles only for Liko to be the winner this time - beating Grusha.
Definitely possible. I have also been keeping track of who has won and who hasn't, so I like your reasoning. The only reason I could see Roy winning is because he seems to be more focused on battling to become stronger, while the others are focused on battling to have fun. So I wouldn't be surprised with a win or a loss

Before when she was Hatenna she was so soft-spoken & no one took her more seriously. NOW she can stand out loudly with her new physical strength (followed by her healing strength) & make others aware of her.
I think it's one of those things where I had never heard the name said aloud before and I had never said before myself, so the only time I ever saw it was in text. So then as soon as I started recording the voice over for this video, that was the first time I had ever heard the name spoken out loud, and that was when it hit me that it probably is based off the word frigid

I think in an episode, Liko should help Hattrum control her temper because she can’t always solve everything with violence. Because sometimes you should solve violent with peace. Everything she evolved she’s kind of become a psycho sociopathic freak.
In order to make Hattrem stop, you'd have to stop her psychic emotional receptors; remember she's way more receptively sensitive now more than ever. Besides it's not even out of the ordinary for her species; they all act like this: remember the Hattrem from ATBAPM? Plus the way Hattrem does this wouldn't be the 1st time a pokemon has done something like this; like Ash's Turtwig: when it tried settling fights with wild pokemon or even pokemon in the gang (like the episode after he got caught) & they straight up ignored him then kept on fighting until Turtwig decided to attack them to stop their arguing fighting. At least when Hattrem does it she offers healing triage afterwards.
I'd have to break out a sociology textbook and start off by defining terms like "the male gaze." The Pokémon anime has always done this. While they don't overtly sexualize female characters like they did back in the Original Series, there are still subtle things that remain in modern Pokémon seasons that contribute to this. Case in point, they could have just showed us Liko's outfit all at once like they did with Dot, but instead they slowly panned up her entire body and added in visual effects to highlight her appearance. 99% of people will look past it (and look past all the other times the anime does something similar), and that's kind of the point. They're not making this big, deliberate attempt to objectify female characters like they may have done back in the 90s, but there are still subtle techniques in media nowadays that reinforce similar behaviors. I'm not sitting here screaming into the abyss about how Pokémon is corrupting our minds or anything lol, I just see scenes like that and go "yep... another example of elevator eyes... why?" and then I move on with my life. For further reading, explore topics such as "the male gaze" and why "elevator eyes" can be seen as harassment.

I did already notice myself since a while back that the best and most dynamic storyboards for anime tend to have angles or camera shots which are in one way or another subtlely sexualizing characters even for the most innocent shows which don't have direct fanservice moments in the story/events themselves. Even in the regards to the overall direction of an anime, this can come into play. Individual people can very well even be inclined to draw female characters in such poses personally. A fellow user actually replied to the mention of a similar case with a pan up shot with the simple sentence "Yeah, animators are weirdos, people need to accept that". ~~And you know... I am completely failling for it in that regard myself after all.~~

I really relate to Dot here. I live where heat is the norm, but when is cold is cold and I can't stand cold. I can ignore cold for a bit, but I don't like it.
Gets well colder in Wisconsin during the winters. I don't mind that kind of weather though, I lived in Nottingham for 6 months and the standard UK cold is fine
I'm the polar opposite of Dot, and I still relate to her. I hate the heat, and live in a country where cold weather and constant downpour are normal lol

we're still a long way from Rayquaza though as I feel like we still 2 Heroes to meet before fully challenging Rayquaza again
