One character that didn't appear in the anime when Ash was around that I bet will appear in Horizons is Zinnia. Considering how important Rayquaza is for the story, I wouldn't be surprised if they use this chance to introduce her when they head to Hoenn. Like how they introduce Kabu when they were in Galar.
I hope so I was so happy when I knew they would introduce Lisia & Drasna in Journeys, and Kabu in Horizons, so I hope for Zinnia, she's one of my most favorite characters ever
I can sort of imagine her fulfilling a similar role to the games, this time joining the Explorers undercover and maybe the Rising Volt Tacklers later on
Not likely to happen, but since the Horizons anime does have a Shiny Rayquaza having a huge role, Zinnia could have some type of role to help out Liko learn more about Rayquaza

Fun fact between the female video game protagonists dawn has the most interactions with the others she met may and lyra. Speaking of lyra johto is the only region so far to confirm that all of that regions protagonists are in the same universe as ash. Not only has lyra traveled with ash group for a bit but ethan and kris were shown during the masters 8 tournament watching lance battle diantha
I think with RSE, DPP, and XY all having the female protag join Ash for his adventure, it's pretty clear there's a sort of reason why or "rule" pertaining to whether a female protagonist joins or not, and that's primarily if they exist as a character in that game when picking the male protag. In RBY, GSC, BW, SM, and SWSH, there is no counterpart rival depending on the gender of the character you choose, so none of the series representing those games get a female protag as Ash's companion.
I thought it was kind of weird but also unique that for Gen 8 they decided to make up characters to be Ash’s friend instead of bring them from the games. They could have just as easily bring in Hop for Ashs partner or something.
@@Evdafawth Yh but they appeared extremely later and wasn’t relevant to the main plot rly (Ik ur prob being sarcastic I’m js saying it for the ppl who might be confused :) )
YOU did actually miss 2 characters that isn't in the anime, Dexio and Sina, named assistant under Sycamore's that appear in both pokemon XY and in both alola games, they both don't appear in the anime anywhere, only being referenced by Jessie and James in the alola league
God, I am SO PISSED that they didn't include the Ultra Recon Squad in the anime, they even completely rewrote Necrozma and Poipole's lore to exclude them! I haven't forgiven the anime writers for that. I find them so interesting, and the anime could have expanded on their lore!
I’ve always had the belief that Rosa would’ve been a perfect fit for the anime. She and Ash would’ve gotten along very well and would’ve worked as either a great traveling companion (temporary or region permanent) or a great rival for him. It would be a bit redundant having yet another Snivy trainer, but I think that wouldn’t be an issue
She didn't necessarily need to own a Snivy: sure, she may well be associated with it, but they could very well have given her a different Pokemon, starter or otherwise, instead. Just look at Iris: the Excadrill and Emolga she owns in the anime were never part of her team in the video games; similarly, Misty got to own multiple different water type Pokemon that she never owned in the games, though her having a Psyduck in the Let's Go titles is a clear reference to her owing one in the anime. Point being, they could do whatever they wanted with a trainer's teams in the anime, and she still could've kept her Snivy given that 3 characters in DP owned a member of Piplup's evolutionary family. Regardless of any of that, I do agree she would've been an interesting addition to the series, and I personally would see her taking more of a companion role than being a rival to Ash. On a side note, having the male protagonists appearing could've been done as well, seeing as most of them didn't get more than a brief cameo, and I think that getting to have one of them as a traveling companion for Ash, possibly even having something of a friendly rivalry with him, would've been an interesting dynamic that never got to be explored
Had Silver a role in the Pokemon anime, Giovanni's character might have been fleshed out more. Plus, Silver joins Ash to go to Unova to deal with Team Rocket.
Yeah I think Giovanni was a really underused character. Considering the major role he had in the Mewtwo Returns special, which was in the middle of Johto, maybe that would've been a good time to include him. Although it's worth noting that Paul/Shinji seems to be based on Silver
I honestly hate the fact that Bede was completely absent in Journeys. I feel like he would have had the most interesting backstory since he’s somewhat adopted by Chairman Rose and seeing him grow as a character would have been cool. Then again Journeys screwed over a ton a good characters from Galar. Like seriously I’m still mad that despite Hop being a major rival and a key character to the Sword/Shield (nonexistent) plot, he wasn’t revealed until almost towards the end of the series, just to get one shot by Ash and become Leon’s cheerleader. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!
@@maganhassan2627 No cause Hop was literally carrying the story. I’m not praising the other characters but rather wishing they can extend their backstory and interact with the main character a lot more. I like them as characters but they don’t do anything with them. Like seriously what was the point in Marnie as a character since she doesn’t do anything but look cute? She’s just there and even with her involvement with Team Yell, neither her or brother contribute to why they exist. Can you even call Piers an evil team leader when he’s not even involved with their schemes?
Even if the characters show up in the anime they only have a bit more personularity now that they are taking their time to have better writing in horizons.
The thing about Hop is that his rivalry with Ash would have been seen as desperate because Ash is a Champion and Hop starts out as a rookie. You saw how Hop easily lost to Ash in one hit. Yet, people think that Hop being a game rival should automatically be Ash's main rival even though the skills are way far apart?
God, were Matt and Courtney really not in the RSE anime? I’ve only watched the Aqua/Magma arc of that series, and I guess it just never clicked to me that they weren’t there. Weird
It's truly is criminal that Legends Arceus never got represented within the anime properly. I would've loved to see that be adapted. Here's hoping Horizon does something with it.
Well, one of the ancient Pokemon they're looking for is Kleavor so we might see some of that game adapted after the current arc's finished. It'd be cool to get a time travel way, feels like that would be a natural way to continue the story. Would be a good way to make the gang meet Lucius
@@breakfast_pasta7923the Arceus chronicles was a tad odd like it feels more like it was written as a very late epilogue of the gen 4 anime that adapted the stark mountain stuff from the games but they remembered that legends arceus was a thing and shoehorned stuff from legends. I do think the arceus chronicles is fine but it shouldn’t have been a special for legends. It would have been better if it was tweaked and reworked into being the BDSP special (and replace that garbage BDSP special we actually got) and make a proper legends special instead.
Lmao even though there has been very few dark type trainers in the franchise, the first one to ever appear was Nanu in gen 7. And only two more (Piers and Marnie) have appeared since then.
@@door-chan ah sorry, I meant dark type trainers that have appeared in the anime: The first time a main dark type trainer appeared in the anime was in the Alola series (Nanu) Neither Karen, Sydney nor Grimsley appeared beforehand, and still haven't appeared on it yet. Piers and Marnie were the last because Giacomo hasn't appeared there as well. So you have less than a half (3/7) of the main dark type trainers in the anime.
It's disappointing that the male protagonists didn't have bigger roles in the anime. Like Brendan could've been Ash's rival in Hoenn, where his journey could be him helping his father Professor Birch with small research tasks while doing the gym challenge in the meantime to follow his real dream to become the Hoenn champion. Lucas could've been Rowan's newly hired research assistant with his goal to become a Pokémon professor himself (maybe you could've even have him tag along with Gary occasionally, where Gary is somewhat of a mentor to Lucas due to him starting his researcher career at the end of Johto with Lucas only having just started at the beginning of DP)
The Kanto rivals mentoring each of the DP protags; really a missed oppurtunity. Could have rolled Kenny's role into Barry's to cut down on cast bloat while making it so that Barry is actually Dawn's rival in Contests and forms a nice contrast where Barry is the one who wants to distance himself from his parent in contrast to Dawn. Can't tell me Crasher Wake with his own theme song and costume doesn't do Contests. My idea was to replace the girl Dawn mentors at the end of DP with Lucas to setup the games as a steath sequel while Barry gets inspired to take on gyms.
The ones I'm most interested to see how they handle in the anime are Sada and Turo. Though they will mostly focus on Sada for the anime since Naranja Academy is canon there (whereas the manga uses Uva Academy). So far the way Horizon is going, I really wonder how they'll handle something like Area Zero and the AI double (but hey, maybe there's the chance that Sada doesn't have a crappy faith like in the games).
Unfortunately it seems like Horizons is set after SV and it's DLCs based on some context clues they put in the anime so the AI copies have been destroyed for a while now and the time machine in Area Zero has been shut down. I think at most we'll get Arven and his parents will show up as a flashback.
From what I've seen, Horizons seems to take place in Scarlet/Violet postgame, with Penny already working as an Engineer for the Paldean League. This means that not only is the Professor already dead, but their AI doppelganger already gone in the time machine. Personally, I wish Horizons would redeem the professor the way the sun & moon anime redeemed Lusamine.
@@kendiaz89That'll probably be the likeliest scenario. Maybe they do something with Terapagos where it manages to bring them out at some point in time and that's how they bring them in. It seems like GF/The Pokemon Company is set in keeping them out of the story and dead to prevent any more story build up with other characters or any sort of redemption. Not surprised though. Keeping them alive pretty much goes counter to what Arven's character designer wanted.
They could have Turo since it's Scarletverse but then they'd have to explain why he ditched his family when Arven was a baby so they may want to avoid that.
I always get excited for which characters from the games will show up in the anime. Like Arven has been my most hyped up character to show up in the new season. I haven’t watched it yet so idk if he showed up yet.
I think Galar's Saga being pretty much abandoned by the anime was the one that hurts me the most. I wanted to see Ash Travel with Gloria and Hop, with Gloria being a crazy Gremlin and Hop being the supportive one... Instead we got the two worst companions in the anime: Goh and Chloe. Just glad Twilight wings exists, and most of the web spinoffs. They were all better than the old Ash-centric anime days..... Horizons is a step in the right direction though, with it also giving focus to both Galar and Paldean characters that Journeys betrayed.
honestly right now Horizon's is doing worse for galar than Journey's did the only galar character that's appeared is kabu no one else has even been mentioned now Horizon's is doing a much better job introducing Paldea than Journey did Galar seeing as all the gym leaders at least made an appearance but we'll have to wait to see if they'll do anything with the other regions
just imagine if Journeys was a regular series with Ash going through the Galar region and collecting badges and sometime before or after the Pokémon League is when Ash gets teleported into the past and we get a Legends Arceus anime adaptation, that would be insane and ambitious for the anime staff in my opinion. It brings me back to the Battle Frontier and Orange Island days which filled the gap in between Gen 1 & 2 and Gen 3 & 4
Could have been a 12 episode spinoff where Dawn was sent to the past so she actually does something cool instead of returning unchanged since BW and evolved her Quillava while she was at it.
I've seen a few ideas for how some of these characters could be adapted One idea I've seen for the male protags is making them rivals to Ash. I've seen this with Brendan and Hilbet but for Lucas I've seen the idea of him being a reoccurring character as a Professor Rowan's assistant. This could also apply to a female protag and I'd like to see a rewrite that does this as opposed to making them a traveling companion In regards Nate, I can't help but feel Cameron is meant to be a Nate stand in. For Wally, I feel like the most obvious role is rival, and considering that Morrison only really shows up twice, Wally could easily fill that role. However at that point, I feel you could just do a "what if Morrison was introduced earlier"? An idea that I have that I feel like others have had is having him related to Drew. I think it could be interesting if Drew treated Wally really nicely and Wally would bring out Drew's nicer side. I suppose the Ultra Recon Squad could have played some role in the Ultra Rangers episodes, from what I've heard, but definitely take that with a huge grain of salt I'm somewhat surprised Rei was the one who showed up in the non speaking role. Prior to the time travel reveal I thought this meant Rei was Dawn's ancestor
Also missing are Benga, Yancy and Curtis, Dexio and Sina (though Team Rocket's disguises in the Manalo Conference are based on their Alola outfits), the Battle Chatelaines, Chase, Elaine, Trace, and all the Pokémon Storage System developers except Bill and Molayne.
Lucas could have been Rowan's assistant, he looks quite smart and calm. And I wish Hilda was a rival to ash in BW. She looks really strong and confident. I'm pretty sure she would have been a fan fav for sure.
I wish the Ultra Recon Squad appeared in the anime - having Zossie briefly join the main cast would've been nice due to her sheer enthusiasm for learning about Pokémon outside of Ultra Space.
I wish Gloria appeared in the anime, but I’m glad we got the Scottish memes & Zactoshi’s SWSH rewrite Also, I feel like Leaf/Green could’ve easily been added to Journeys as one of the trainers who started their journey with Ash & Gary but gave up halfway through
Which voice actress would you have imagined for Leaf had she appeared in the beginning. You can choose either a veteran 4Kids actor or from 2006 onward.
@@1685Violin Probably Cristina Vee. After hearing her play Green in the Evolutions short I think she’d be a perfect fit, though Erica Mendez or Roo Ryder would work too
Was disappointed to never see Zossie of the Ultra Recon Squad show up in the Sun and Moon anime. As unformulaic as that series went versus the series before it, I was expecting a visit to Ultra Megalopolis or the Squad to appear in Alola.
Unfortunately it does seem like that since it seems Horizons is set a while after The Indigo Disk DLC for Scarlet and Violet based on Penny working in the Pokemon League, their comments of an incident a while back and the fact that they know who Terapagos is. If they'll ever appear in the anime I guess it would be as a flashback.
They could have Turo in the anime but then they'd have to deal with him ditching his newborn son so they may want to avoid that. And given that Sada is dead and her AI is in the past (and, as much as I hate to think of it, likely long dead by now as well --even if she had adventures for centuries there's no way her data would hold out for millions of years), the only chance we have for seeing them animated would be another short series. And since Paldea got one already then we'll have to hold out for another series that does scenes from the various games. I also hope the AIs can show up in Masters.
Gotta feel bad for Elite 4 characters, the anime structure never really built around the league in the same way as the game so there was a high chance that if you’re E4 you won’t ever be seen unless you’re lucky to show up for a random episode like it’s a side quest. A bigger shame that journeys didn’t try rectify some characters not having a momentary screen time and honestly partially why they don’t get as popular as they could 😭
Yeah, we basically have to rely on the manga (which takes a lot of liberties with the characters) or recently, Pokemon Masters EX to know more about them. It's probably because of this why many people say most E4 characters are bland or uninteresting.
Yeah pretty much Sinnoh and Kalos are the only ones explored, and Kalos mostly in Alain's mega evolution side series. Though I'm glad mama Drasna got a highlight in journeys. Not sure why they didn't take advantage and do that the whole time throughout journeys for others though
I think DP and HZ so far used them very well, the former using them just for episodes of the week but those being quite interesting and them having major roles in HZ
In Pokemon Horizons, the protagonists still need to find Lucius' partners; don't hold your breath for Legends Arceus since Kleavor is one of those Pokemon
I am sad that Bede didnt make an appearance. His arc was great in the bad written sword/shield game. He was so great like no other Rivals outside from Silver, Green Oak and Heiko.
If Bede get Marnie treatment ( one episode side character). I rather won't see him at all. Who the f**k in anime studio wants to promote death game like pokemon Go?
@@f.gmondr5140 I rather wished they redo the whole Pokemon Journey as a traditional Ash Ketchum episodes where Ash is traveling with Marnie and Bede becomes his traveler companion who is in the beginning just an asshole but after Opal took him in and he has to wear Fairy uniform, he meets Ash again but this time he has to train and collecting Fairy Pokemon, He still fights with Ash, but this time he is not an asshole and he allows himself to be teached by Ash who has more experience. Practicly, Ash becomes not only Marnies but also Bedes mentor, the concept they threw it away with Goh, making him the worst companion. And as a Trio they would have the 2 Gym Leader + Ash classic again. First from Kanto, then Black and White, then Sword and shielt. Bede and Marnie would have equal many appearance with Ash. That would be nice. And who knows, Bede could be the first male main companion participating in contests.
I would have loved to see Gloria in the anime. I feel like she would have been hilarious. Or Hilda! Heck, she could have been such a badass protagonist!
Technically Janine never appeared in the anime but I remember there was a character in the Fuchsia Gym episode that very easily could have just been Janine and it wouldn't have changed anything at all. Koga did have this main female protege in that episode, she just wasn't named Janine and looked nothing like her, but her role was practically identical.
You forgot to mention Ethan, the male protagonist of HeartGold and SoulSilver, he appeared in the intro of the Zoroark movie battling Ash. And in XY, they left out the ultimate weapon because Team Flare in the anime aimed to manipulate Zygarde to destroy the world, unlike in the game where they needed Xerneas or Yveltal to amplify the ultimate weapon's destructive force.
Imo Hilda was the one who hurt the most since she's my second favorite MC, just behind Serena. I get the BW anime staff really wanted a throwback of the OG trio dynamic with 2 gym leaders but she should've at least made it in as a rival (probably replacing Trip who just didn't cut it as the main rival), making a novel subversion of what has been expected. And it sounds fitting given her eventual competitive portrayal in PMEX.
Ah, yes, replace Trip, one of the best characters in the story, one of the most important and prominent rivals that contributes greatly to Ash's development. Great.
Even though Penny appeared, I think all five of the Team Star Bosses will not appear in Horizons at all and the same might be for Arven because of the deal with his parents.
I feel like there are 2 main reasons why those 2 didn't appear: *Firstly, they were pretty obscure characters that were only in B2W2, and they're also optional, so I wouldn't be surprised if many people forgot about them. *Secondly, they were involved in a sort of romance subplot in the games, from what I do remember of them. The issue here is that the anime never really put too much attention on romance, so if Yancy and Curtis were to be included, they would've probably had their roles be repurposed to do something else. Still could've been interesting to see them, among other characters that didn't get adapted into the anime
Would've been nice to see them on a TV atleast as that's what they do in their job. Atleast they could have one of the characters obsess over the models or have a filler episode diving deep into the two outside of their jobs.
Ngl it's crazy how many character from the main games have never made it to the anime and that's just kind of sad cause these characters would be perfect if they were added in yk Overall great video as always ❤
Personally! I’d love to see each game timeline as it’s own fully realized series I know that’s asking a LOT but I’d love to see the plot of the games go down as we experienced them
They should do another Pokémon Chronicles series to bring them back and be canon to the main anime and Horizons, if Horizons canon to the main anime tbh, so yeah
If there is an anime adaptation of Pokemon Fire Red: Rocket Edition, the Rocket admins will make an major appearance. The reason I say this was because, in some fanfictions, the Rocket Admins exist in the Pokemon anime.
They totally could have had the Rocket admins instead of Matori just saying. Horizons seems to be after the events of SV so sadly we will never see the AIs despite them being such important characters. And since it's in Scarlet, we may see Turo (in a much differebt role, since he would have left years ago) and that's it --OH GOD does Buson really say "who's your daddy" in the dub wtf
@@BJGvideos more or less although maybe in an alternate timeline Proton could be in the role Pierce occupied with the other 3 potentially sprinkled in to other episodes
@@Gam3rofR0ck808 That would be fun. It's funny that Johto had more high ranking Rockets introduced than any other arc and yet none of them were even close to the ones in the games. Even the bare bones depictions we got in second gen were still elaborated into characters in other media, like Grey from Golden Boys filling the Archer role.
What if they made a Pokémon Legends Arceus anime where Ash and Pikachu get sent back to Hisui and that would explain why Ash isn’t the protagonist anymore in Horizons?
At one point i saw an image of Hilda instead of Iris in the artstyle of BW Anime in Pinterest, imagine if Hilda was the "leading lady" of the Unova anime and not Iris...
From what I remembered, koga has a sister but with a different name in the anime, her name is Aya 🤔. Does…Aya even count 😅. Not to mention, Janine is Koga’s daughter in the games and pokemon adventures mangas

It really is an odd choice to omit characters at all, i get the mons are the marketing darlings, but so many left out trainers are associated with certain pokemon so its like, well why not include em? Especially during Journeys, but at least Horizons is taking advantage of its separate continuity and going from a clean slate
Unpopular Opinion: I prefer Pokemon Chronicles over most of the main anime, especially because I played Pokemon Crystal for the first time around the time I watched those special episodes so I'm really attached to Gen 2 in general
I think the general lack of Elite 4 members is disappointing. Here you have the best of the best trainers who could get expanded on from what little we get in the games and the only one to have all 4 of them appear is Sinnoh. Also sucks that we never got a Battle Frontier season in Sinnoh and instead a massive dump of filler.
@@natalimoina I guess I got the part about Sinnoh being the only region with all its Elite 4 members in the anime wrong with Kanto and Kalos but in the latter's case, it's kind of disappointing we had to wait until Journeys for Wikstrom and Drasna to be in the anime. And (not including gen 9) those are the only 3 instances when you still have many other Elite 4 members with good story potential. And how is wanting the Sinnoh Battle Frontier over a good amount of the slow period Diamond and Pearl had "making up nonsense". The Battle Frontier was probably the best thing about Hoenn so a second take would've been really cool.
Wally was such a snub in AG, Ash didn't get a rival until the league. I also wish Emma was in XY just so Looker could return, I love the way the anime uses him and it's a shame how he hasn't had that many appearances over the course of the show
To be fair, they rarely use the male player characters in the anime, so Hilbert and Nate were always 100% out. Hilda and Rosa were out because they used Iris as Ash's traveling companion instead. Selene was unnecessary because Ash had enough friends in Alola. Gloria was always out of the question because the series wasn't even set in Galar.
Ash was supposed to resemble the male protag. I noticed that only the females who had important presence in the games, actually showed up as the female companions May and Serena being rivals, while Dawn was a somewhat recurring as well.
I think the reason May & Serena are in the anime, but not Hilda, Rosa or Selene, is that the Gen 3 & Gen 6 games allows both the male & female protags to coexist: choosing the male protag as your avatar turns the female protag into an NPC and vice versa. Since Ash is a stand-in for the male protag, the anime lets him interact with the female protag. Later gens don't let the male & female protags coexist, as if they're meant to be genderbent versions of the same person.
If the anime had done more like the Adventures manga and done the main arc focusing on the game counterparts while earlier characters came back in guest or recurring roles that could have been so interesting. It’d also allow for more of a sense of time progression, rather than have a protagonist who is ten years old for a quarter of a century. Indeed, having Ash grow older on screen across successive series would have been a way to show his emotional maturity and improved battle skills, Journeys could have returned to him as a main protagonist and getting to showcase all the protagonists from interim series.
You have no idea what progression and maturity means. Also it's not an adaptation. Obviously it's gonna tell it's own story making it the best possible not copying the silly games
Should have had a Sinnoh Battle Frontier arc (maybe let Liko, Roy and Dot win this Quest), not to mention the other Elite Fours need to appear in the show and have either Liko, Roy and Dot interact with them or if they are going to bring Ash back, have Ash face off and beat another Elite Four (e.g., Shauntal, Sidney) to give the three a note that there are other Champions besides Geeta and other Elite Four members besides Larry, Poppy, Hassel and Rika.
As upsetting as it is that these characters aren’t in the anime, at least we can get a lot more of them in the manga. *Something I cannot say for Florian*

The fact this comment is how i realize this
I thought it was kind of weird but also unique that for Gen 8 they decided to make up characters to be Ash’s friend instead of bring them from the games. They could have just as easily bring in Hop for Ashs partner or something.
Such a neat little attention to detail

Aya did return in the Johto arc, so ig she was thought of as Janine's counterpart
God, I am SO PISSED that they didn't include the Ultra Recon Squad in the anime, they even completely rewrote Necrozma and Poipole's lore to exclude them! I haven't forgiven the anime writers for that. I find them so interesting, and the anime could have expanded on their lore!
They ditched it because it isn't good and doesn't fit. Gave us something so much better.
@@natalimoinaAs if what we got in the anime is any better and with SM series being controversial in its direction.
Hilda as well.

Could have made some reveal that Paul is just Silver with his hair dyed and transition into the HGSS promo episodes that way.

Well, one of the ancient Pokemon they're looking for is Kleavor so we might see some of that game adapted after the current arc's finished.

Now we wait for Legends ZA to start with a mixup in space time resulting in Arezu getting yoinked from Hisui and dropped into Legends ZA
@@kendiaz89I want to see Juliana and Florian in the Pokemon Horizon anime.
They could have Turo since it's Scarletverse but then they'd have to explain why he ditched his family when Arven was a baby so they may want to avoid that.

just imagine if Journeys was a regular series with Ash going through the Galar region and collecting badges and sometime before or after the Pokémon League is when Ash gets teleported into the past and we get a Legends Arceus anime adaptation, that would be insane and ambitious for the anime staff in my opinion.
I've seen a few ideas for how some of these characters could be adapted
One idea I've seen for the male protags is making them rivals to Ash. I've seen this with Brendan and Hilbet but for Lucas I've seen the idea of him being a reoccurring character as a Professor Rowan's assistant.
This could also apply to a female protag and I'd like to see a rewrite that does this as opposed to making them a traveling companion
In regards Nate, I can't help but feel Cameron is meant to be a Nate stand in.
I suppose the Ultra Recon Squad could have played some role in the Ultra Rangers episodes, from what I've heard, but definitely take that with a huge grain of salt
I'm somewhat surprised Rei was the one who showed up in the non speaking role.
Even if these characters never made it to the anime so far, they still got some attention as Masters gave them official voices.
I wish Gloria appeared in the anime, but I’m glad we got the Scottish memes & Zactoshi’s SWSH rewrite

I really watched gen 3's anime as a kid/teen and never noticed Wally was not in the anime. Kinda crazy.
I am terrified we are never going to see animated Professor Turo and Sada and aughHhHhHh

@@kendiaz89For all we know maybe some of the game events didn't happen in the anime it is a different universe after all
They could have Turo in the anime but then they'd have to deal with him ditching his newborn son so they may want to avoid that.
Really wanted to see Shauntal in the anime.
Silver didn’t appear in the anime but elements of him were shown in Ash’s rivals like Gary, Alain and mostly and especially Paul

Even though Penny appeared, I think all five of the Team Star Bosses will not appear in Horizons at all and the same might be for Arven because of the deal with his parents.
Yancy and Curtis forgotten again XD
I feel like there are 2 main reasons why those 2 didn't appear:
*Firstly, they were pretty obscure characters that were only in B2W2, and they're also optional, so I wouldn't be surprised if many people forgot about them.
Ngl it's crazy how many character from the main games have never made it to the anime and that's just kind of sad cause these characters would be perfect if they were added in yk

The actual pokemon protagonists missed out on character development because of an OC with plot armor
Not having the likes of Gloria, Selene, Janine, Hilbert, Hilda, Nate and Rosa in the anime was such a missed opportunity.
I noticed that only the females who had important presence in the games, actually showed up as the female companions
May and Serena being rivals, while Dawn was a somewhat recurring as well.
@@nickdentoom1173Ash just fill in they role so having like Lucas or Eilo are redundant
It isn't
@@natalimoina The anime is based off the games. Of course, it's an adaptation!
@@natalimoinastupid toxic gou midoriya stan fans is here
Should have had a Sinnoh Battle Frontier arc (maybe let Liko, Roy and Dot win this Quest), not to mention the other Elite Fours need to appear in the show and have either Liko, Roy and Dot interact with them or if they are going to bring Ash back, have Ash face off and beat another Elite Four (e.g., Shauntal, Sidney) to give the three a note that there are other Champions besides Geeta and other Elite Four members besides Larry, Poppy, Hassel and Rika.
As upsetting as it is that these characters aren’t in the anime, at least we can get a lot more of them in the manga.
*Something I cannot say for Florian*
1:09 wait, I thought his canon name was Ethan?
Koga's daughter was in the second generation of the anime. Her and her dad had ash and friends doing ninja training. She had a venonat.
No they didn't. That was his anime-only sister
@@BJGvideos It was the same gym leader koga entrusted with the gym in Gen 2. She has the exact same name and appearance and is never stated in the anime as his sister.
Rosa is best female protag, change my mind.
Agreed.
Lorelei appears in orange islands but her name is changed and they don't do anything with her....
I'm still so disappointed that the gen 5 and gen 8 protags were not in the anime.
Janeen was Cogas daughter/ student in the original series I think
No they had his sister Aya in the anime instead
At least the manga gives them justice! (And Janine has such a small but great character in the manga)
Even then you have characters who don't show up
@BJGvideos yeah, true. I'm disappointed that Legends never got into the manga, but still
@@kitdoesstuff_official I wish Shigekatsu Ihara had done a PLA manga. Imagine Hareta being the Lost One. He'd be in the past for like a month before he realized anything was wrong because he'd sprint off to the nearest forest the moment he could
@@BJGvideos I've never actually heard of that Pokémon manga! I'll check it out!
@@kitdoesstuff_official Oh yeah that's Diamond and Pearl Adventure! and it's super fun
You Forgot Some Other Gym Leader From Galar. how Never appeared in Journey or Horizons.
Milo Nessa Gordie and Melony.
and the Isle of Armor Klara and Avery.
So Red is the most legendary 'mysterious' character since he is like THE main protagonist and doesn't appear in the main series
Leaf green blue brendan/brix
Lucas/Rey/akari
Hilbert/hilda
Basically all redesigns from hoenn
Nate/rosa
Victor
And so much more
free sina
Bro forgot yellow and blue and most people wtf
Maybe every missed PCs (at least the female) and Elite Four members will appear.
I swear every Galar fan got ROBBED in Journeys 😭
Not so
