The point was that they had one sabotage test where the sous chef intentionally make an error to see if they can catch it to examine the head chef contestant's ability to run the quality control aspect of the hot plate. Chef Scott sent out a different fish to test her and Gordon saw she didn't pass. That was the test. From there, he did it properly, as a talented sous chef selected by Gordon himself, so he was pissed when she didn't realize the previous one was a test. After the error, she felt the need to call him out more, but he was already doing it properly, so he was pissed that she was critiquing his good food, so he called her stupid, while Gordon just watches nothing to say.
@Paddy O'Yakkin being in control of the kitchen is the whole thing with her running the hot plate dumbass it was the quality control that was the test where they spot the error

She was doing HER JOB at quality control, notice how few dishes it showed her tasting and sending back? That was a tiny amount out of what they would have made the entire night, she wasn't constantly on his ass like the editing made it out to be. I swear everybody forgets that editing exists. Moron.

I supervise a team and if some staff haven't finished their work by the end of shift then unfortunately myself and whoever have to stay to finish it because the workload would become too much, would start to pile up and we would always be behind.
The staff do moan if they have to stay but what they never seem to realise is that I am more annoyed then them because I have worked longer hours then them, done more work than them and so I can get out asap am now doing half of their work for them too.
Though obviously work is not a dictatorship so the staff could leave when their shift finishes and leave the work but management would just end up firing them.
So Danny ended up being the winner of that season that year, but quit the job soon after because he said he wasn't given the position and the salary that was promised in the show.

Whether he was actually upset or not, the venting seems clearly intentional to see if she would get bogged down addressing his attitude and lose focus as opposed to just keeping the service going which could let things get backed up or get done wrong, or maybe the attitude was to see if she would stop calling him out if he talked back, and just let the crap slide through which Gordon Ramsey obviously would have noticed and criticized her over it. It especially makes sense with Gordon Ramsey's "run the brigade, don't let the brigade run you" bit when she took charge since almost immediately he's screwing up and mouthing off, and the test would be how she'll handle it since Gordon Ramsey deals up with it in Hell's Kitchen from time to time and keeps driving the service regardless of that sort of crap. That "don't let the brigade run you" was probably also intended for Chef Scott who knew exactly he should pose a challenge to her without Gordon Ramsey saying so much to him.

Can we talk about how Ramsay was just having all sorts of facial expressions when it was Andrea's turn? He really seemed to enjoy some of her word usage
When you watch a lot of Kitchen Nightmares or Hotel Hell, you oftentimes forget that Ramsay is a PROFESSIONAL CHEF and BUSINESSMAN who takes his job seriously. Looking at how many times he just looks at a plate and sees how many mistakes these people make really shows it.

I'm starting to see why people say that Paula should've won. And tbh, I've been rooting for Andrea, and this clip makes me wonder why she didn't manage to beat Danny to the final two--- Maybe it's inconsistency.
Doing a lot of yelling doesn't necessarily make you a good leader. Also, Andrea was very inconsistent during her time in Hell's Kitchen. Danny definitely deserved his spot in the final 2.

Paula lost because Danny was a bit more assertive in the kitchen and got more out of his brigade. It was very close but Danny did deserve to win. Paula would easily win in most other seasons, so the fact that she lost tells you how good her opponent was.
Andrea though, no way, she caught so many breaks. Giovanni’s meltdown, Robert’s medical withdrawal, having immunity. She was really lucky to get to third as it was.

From what I scrounged up, she was an Executive Chef at a restaurant on Miami Beach after Hell's Kitchen, also along with Ben. The same one from that season. That closed in 2014 unfortunately. After that, she returned to 3030 Ocean again but as an Executive Chef, now. She also worked with La Tasha from Season 13 there for a bit, and even worked with Sous Chef Andi at Ocean Reef! She's launched Paula DeSilva Culinary as a chef and consultant. Opened up a restaurant in Miami (The Artisan Beach House), has been an Executive Chef at the Burlock Coast Seafare & Spirits at the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, and lastly, is married to a pastry chef and has two kids.
