    I am happy to introduce a video of this product that I am currently using in Korea.
    When I first encountered this product, it was a whole new world for me. In the situation where the calcium reactor is used, the amount of Co2 supply according to the weather
    Co2 supply and stop are automatically adjusted according to the ph setting value in a car that is not constant...
    It has been used well so far, and it is strongly recommended for precise operation.😀😀😀

    nice review, one thing i noticed is that there seems to be a lot of wires attached to it. i have too many wires as it is, and it seems like it really isn't adding that many variables to manage, the PH thing is pretty cool, but if you still have to manage the timer, i'm not sure how this is very beneficial. With a smart plug I can already time my co2 solenoid and after some monitoring I can get it to come on and turn off at an ideal point to keep co2 levels fairly stable.
    I don't know if such a sensor exists or if it is possible, but instead of sensing ph, it would be nice to sense co2 levels in the water, and just set the desired co2 level and keep it stable. This would allow the user to do away with schedules and bubble counters and everything else. Just set the desired co2 level and allow the system to hold it steady. This system seems fancy, but doesn't really solve the age old problem of keeping stable co2 levels in the tank in a simple way, has too many wires, its bulky, makes noise, is very expensive, and it also doesn't really make sense to me to have a touch screen. Just control it from the phone! It would also be nice if this unit would have a way to control a fert/chem dosing system of some sort. Seems like a big electronic to be dedicated purely to ph detection and co2 delivery.

    Hi, I love all your vids, especially the experiments you do. I have an idea but I have no way to test it on my setup, maybe you do. So the experiment is to test whether you can increase the natural CO2 production using 2 aquariums connected like 1 main aquarium and a large sump, where you can have inverted lighting schedules e.g when the main aquarium light is on the sump light is off (this can be done in a cupboard under that main tank) and vice versa. The question is, will this method boost the co2 levels in the aquarium? Resulting in better growth of plants. Maybe one day you can test. Of course the both tanks needs to be heavily planted to produce the co2 in the dark cycle. The idea is for the dark tank to produce the co2 for the other tank to use.

    great looking machine, I use the milwaukee ph controller MC122 pro and a co2 reactor for my 180gal tank. Does the same as this unit ..only this looks nicer. I would now buy the Milwaukee MC125 PRO 2-in-1 Digital pH / ORP instead if I was to do it again. So if this brand wants to improve their product they should include ORP reading as well (not controller but reader).

    Hey gekke Hollander, heb je de gebruiksaanwijzing gelezen hahaha, I got 2 tanks and I would like to try it out but as you said it is kinda heavy and the problem is it cost 500-600$ and that is just for 1 regulator or 1 tank. If this would be expandable to like 6-8 tank setup them it would be a great system meaning 8 pH probes connecting to 1 unit and 8 bubble counters lol I mean then it might be worth the money and time. Other than that it is a luxury product nice for those here in the states or in bloemendaal were they want to have an aquarium but not the maintenance and they just hire someone to do this. Then this is a great product. But it for me I'll just keep it with my 29$ regulator what works great

    It's an expensive bubble counter you still need a c02 controller and plug in solenoid to Dail everything in, it's nice but the total setup (to run correctly) would cost over a $1000 bucks 😢.
    $130 - $500 c02 for controller
    $30 - $100 for c02 bubble solenoid
    $700-$800 for this touchscreen bubble counter not even including the c02 tank or c02 generator-tank $100-$300 bucks ....😮

    Hey, do you have any tips for removing calcium build up on the glass?
    I haven't been able to do maintenance on one of my open top tanks for weeks so the water level has evaporated and the glass near the top is foggy from calcium build up. Is there a safe way to remove this without hurting the fish in the tank? thank you.

    • @MJAquascaping
      @MJAquascaping  2 роки тому +1

      Few things you can try!
      1: You can try to clean it with white vinegar on a paper towel, just rub it on the calcium.
      2: A regular algae scraper (the ones with the razor blades) works quite well
      3: The Dennerle ''cleanator'' this is like a sponge designed for really stubborn algae

    • @alysonemery5287
      @alysonemery5287 2 роки тому +2

      Like MJ said, white vinegar works well. I have pretty hard water so I have a little calcium buildup at the water line that I take care of at every water change. I just pour a small amount of vinegar on a paper towel, ring it out so there's no extra to drip into the water (I do this after removing some water from the tank so the calcium line is a few inches above the water line), wipe off the calcium line, then use a second paper towel that's wet with water only to wipe over the line and remove any residual vinegar. Works beautifully and like I said, I do this at every water change with no issues.

    You can get a complete kit that comes with a 5lbs cylinder, dual stage regulator, diffuser, ph controller and tubing for $450.
    Or you could get just a simple ph controller for about $140 if you already have everything else.
    This kit doesn't seem to offer anything more besides a prettier package.

    It looks like a gross over complication of what should be a very simple process. There are many simple and effective CO2 dosing systems out there...
    Calling this the 'Ferrari' of the CO2 world is quite apt... a simpler and cheaper Ford/Citroën/Fiat/etc option will get you to your destination just the same as a Ferrari - but without any of the complications.

  • @lvengineerable
    @lvengineerable 2 роки тому

    Have you made a video about the water parameters in your tanks? I'm new to co2 and aquasoil. I have terribly hard water, something like 16-18 dGH so I use RO and remineralize. I thought the point of aqua soil was to buffer your kh to 0 so I never added any KH to my RO water. My ph was always below 6 and haven't purchased a PH pen yet to test how far below. This is obviously too low so, I've since added 1 or 2 dKH and it's made my ph more manageable. It seems to stick around in the tank despite me having fluval stratum. I am wondering if I'm wasting my time trying to keep my KH so low. My life would be a lot easier if I could leave it at 3 or 4kh as that gives me a lot bigger buffer for future crashes and I won't have to check it so frequently. If your PH goes to 7.6 during the day you must have a fairly high kh. Do you measure it ever?

    • @lvengineerable
      @lvengineerable 2 роки тому

      Also, for your drop checker, do you add tank water or add water with 4dKH? I've seen both recommended. If anyone else wants to share what they do, I'd appreciate it too. :)

    • @MJAquascaping
      @MJAquascaping  2 роки тому

      I would definitely leave the kh at 3 or 4 if that makes life easier for you! I measured this tank last week and this is what I got, KH was 10 and GH was 17.

      In our household it's the other way around. xD Whenever I ask her, because we are not bad but lazy, she can't find it or doesn't know. But mostly when she askes me I seem to have the location locked in my head xD

    I would say skip.
    If i want a PH Controller, there are better ways.
    If i want time Controller, buy a smart plug or an old fashioned analoge time plug clock thing, forget the name 🤣

    Aquaristic with all those gadgets looks like HT space lab than a typical and simple hobby. Definitely not for me.

    ridiculous. probably has the same cheap needle valve with lower-end regs. would rather build my own and have a very good reg than whatever that monstrosity is LOL.

    Seems like they wanted to create a premium product, gave up halfway through, but then went to market anyway with something that's too expensive for normal people but not polished enough for people that would actually pay that much. Unresponsive fiddly screen, bad ui, cheap noisy motor, and the cherry on top putting that white power supply in there like they completely stopped caring and grabbed the cheapest option available
    Were these Kickstarter devs that ran out of money?

    Yet again... This not a CO2 but pH control system. Absolutely useless in most aquariums.

    If you have a normal social life, you don't need that contraption.
    This hobby has become the sedentary version of car tuning.
    How sad!
