The emphasis is on making me feel like I don't deserve to be H A P P Y. The therapy always makes me feel: MISUNDERSTOOD sad talked down to and even more all by myself than when I set foot in their Office. Lizzo's Songs remind me that who I am is okay. That having a panic attack is AOkay. I have had to learn how to deal with my Mental Illness without the help of Therapists. Because they always play stupid mindgames and I don't have the ability or energy to keep up with them. Sorry for the rant but I just think it's a stretch to assume everybody gets treated with kindness and compassion by therapists bc I for one do not.

No matter how hard life is, the root of all suffering is the inability to accept faults in life, and the desire to change one's situation, before acceptance is explored first. Accept things as they are, even if they are not great, and be at peace with oneself. The rest will come later. This really is a song about self enlightenment, & also accepting that we are human & full of faults. it is okay to love and receive love, even if you are a full of faults. That is what makes self love & acceptance great, you can still love yourself even if you're not perfect.
