Lizzo is overhated and far from a one-hit-wonder. I rap and produce hip-hop music for the underground scene but I take a lot of inspiration from artists like Lizzo. Her confidence is so apparent on every single track and she really shows off how comfortable she is with being herself. That’s something that we all could use a lot more of. She inspires me to be more confident in myself and my own music even if I have plenty more to learn and improve upon. She is truly an icon with a great perspective on life despite the slander constantly being thrown at her from haters. Another thing I really admire about her is the kind of fans that gravitate towards her. She attracts the kinds of people that are similar to her in terms of loyalty, compassion, support, and empathy. If I eventually attract a fanbase even half as amazing as hers for my own music, I would have reached my ultimate goal on my musical journey. Bravo Lizzo, another hit in the books, and another summer anthem to help distract us all from the craziness in this world! ❤️
