As far as an answer to your question Luke. Yes, The multi-part vids are great. It's easier to keep up with the step-by-step that way. Thanks for your instruction!!!!
Love it, love it. Honestly I've loved looking forward to new episodes to finish the series, mostly because what you do in each video is show very strong marks of progress to a very intensive project.
I think a varied range of videos is optimal. I enjoy both the quick tutorials/tips and the longer videos as this one.I'm currently working on a bigger piece myself, so this "series" has been very helpful! Great work as usual!
another great vid buddy! really liking how you're doing them mate, the step by step videos are a great help! I would really love to see a set of videos on making more urban lay outs, simple streets to city type streets. maybe an idea to consider?!? cheers
I love it! I'm working on a Castle Grayskull diorama. I've never done this before, a complete newbie. Did you spray glue into the trees as well? It looks like it but I'd like to be sure. Have a great 2025!
That is nicely done, and if this is your first time with snow ... Wow. Then I look forward to the next dio with snow. Maybe you know the brand Kreycell, great material. You make with this product foot and tire tracks. I enjoy every time your vids.
Great series so far, Luke! I'd also love to see a series on specific terrain that makes the most of game rules for games such as Age of Sigmar, 40K, Frostgrave. (So how to incorporate rules into your terrain design/build)
Hi Lule, what kind of varnish did you used to seal and settle the snow? Any specific brand? I know that some can altered the colour. Can you help? Cheers
Interesting stuff, that snow flocking; I tend more towards Woodland Scenics, but I'm always looking for new things to add (just picked up the Secret Weapon crushed glass stuff which I'm eager to experiment with). Even though, in terms of time and resources, doing the foliage and green flocking to such a degree probably isn't worth it, it does add an interesting layer of realism to the whole scene and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how the ice turns out. I would definitely like to see more videos like this.

What's you PVA glue to water ratio? I messed up two spray cans.. guess it was too heavy on the glue side...
Hi Luke, was wondering, is there any way to do a temporary snow effect on a model/layout? Where you can sift snow on, no use of adhesive, and when you want to change the season back, could you use a tiny low powered vaccum to suck it all up? Possible? not possible? Am I just being an idiot? lol
Hi! Do you know how to glue the soft artificial snow? I bought two bags from hobby lobby and using spray glue, but it looks kind of yellowish. 😂 I made an igloo for playing purpose ( for calico critters toys). Thank you in advance!
An d before you start to snow, put down plenty of old paper as it gets everywhere and if its on floor, takes ages to get rid of it but looks a lot better than mine did.
Just curious, any word on US affiliates for those of us across the pond? Also what are the odds of decently affordable international shipping on the flock when it drops?
Hey, Luke. I'm curious about how you might do a path in the snow from people walking across the snow, packing it down and revealing some of the dirt and grass underneath. It would be cool to add a bit of backstory to the scene, you know, showing how people might actually travel across the land. Thanks for the great videos!
One major thing with doing snow and ice is that you normally do the ice before the snow if you're going for a more natural look. This is mainly because the snow tends to engulf parts of the ice and you'll have bits of snow around on the ice.
Was meaning that if you look at the top of a frozen lake or pond, the snowtends to advance from the banks inward, leaving mainly the middle sections as the only open areas with the rest being a layer of snow over it.
Hey there Luke, I might be a railway modeller but by GOD am I glad I stumbled across this video! I often blanch at the price of 'proper' modelling stuff such as Woodland Scenics, but that little hint about the filler was bloody useful, as was using the sieve from a height; very realistic. Which varnish do you use, by the way? I've seen spray varnishes in art shops, Wilko and Halfords but I'm clueless as to which one to go for! I'll keep an eye out for your videos, Alexandra
Yes.. please do more like this.. if you get time... You got your flock and stuff on the site yet? Clicked on the link and we.t straight through to main site, not your page
I wanna hear your band, what kind of music do you play? The plugs and the beard make me assume it’s some kind of Hardcore or Metalcore something like that.
Hey Luke, I'm planning on doing a snow theme on my 40k realm of battle. Do you remember maybe where you got the static grass snow that you use in this video? Also curious regarding the ice sheets you put on in part 6 of the video As always, thnk you for all the inspiration in your videos. Simply beautiful diorama
Wow... how did I miss that when I was watching the video. Apparently multitasking isn't my greatest attribute haha. Thank you for the quick reply and help mate.
Luke you cheeky git... Is that the new Green stuff world chameleon paint sets to the right :P got distracted from watching the snow effects lol. Great video mate!
Something perfectly fine and you go and ruin it into another better version...its like the joy of painting with Bob Ross, it only lacks a nice little mountain and happy little trees talk.
This format works far better than most others - episodic maintains the interest and also allows people to work through at the same pace.
This helped me so much. The white paint added to the resin really made the difference in a realistic look. Amazing work, as always
Really good to see a deep step by step series of videos - much better than one long one. Keep it up pal!
Broken up vids are easier to digest than one big production.Glad to hear of your sucess. Happy holidays. Cheers.
I wouldn't say that I like it....I LOVE it. I like your vids in general, but watching you muck about and work through things helps immensely!
Really like this type of trial & error video, your dio was brilliant before the snow
i like this style of vid, the bit by bit, step by step style is nice and helps things be more coherent
As far as an answer to your question Luke. Yes, The multi-part vids are great. It's easier to keep up with the step-by-step that way. Thanks for your instruction!!!!
I would just like to say Luke You're a genius and God bless your hands And many thanks for you sharing your gift with us Happy 2023 to you and yours
I am liking this style of videos you are making here. Thank you very much and I hope you continue with style in the future.
Your videos are great. This applies to all types of arts and crafts.
That's one more step towards scale modelling, common Luke you can't resist the power of the dark side !
thanks luke. I am loving the series of techniques, better than waiting for doctor who to come round.
Love it, love it. Honestly I've loved looking forward to new episodes to finish the series, mostly because what you do in each video is show very strong marks of progress to a very intensive project.
Love the video formats Luke...please keep them coming! First dio being built this christmas!
Very nice result. The mini series idea is great and it would be a good chance to use some of the MDF kits from pack to table.
Yeah this type of video is great . I'm only starting and these videos have been so helpful . Keep going !!!
Love this. Never thought I would want to make snow terrain, but now I just have to give it a go!
Loving the videos Luke.
Digging the step by step your doing, informative and as always fun to watch.
Keep up the good work.
Great series mate looking forward to seeing the ice effect
Miss this guy already
I think a varied range of videos is optimal. I enjoy both the quick tutorials/tips and the longer videos as this one.I'm currently working on a bigger piece myself, so this "series" has been very helpful! Great work as usual!

This video is great for me as members of the family have problems with alcohol.
looking very good luke!
Please do keep on with this. It's great.
Chill out and get some sleep mate!! I love these videos and the format is really great. Take care and take a break!! Have Fun,
Joe
nice diorama, keep doing this type of thing
Great work Luke, keep at it!
What kind of nozzle do you recommend for the final glue or varnish? I get lumps and it’s not divided equally?
That is nicely done, and if this is your first time with snow ... Wow. Then I look forward to the next dio with snow. Maybe you know the brand Kreycell, great material. You make with this product foot and tire tracks. I enjoy every time your vids.
Looking forward to the 10 part series on how to speak French!
Love this series of videos. Fantastic stuff. :)
You ere tried Display Mount as an adhesive for snow? It gives a very permenant hold.
Great series so far, Luke! I'd also love to see a series on specific terrain that makes the most of game rules for games such as Age of Sigmar, 40K, Frostgrave. (So how to incorporate rules into your terrain design/build)
Looking good I may have to give the Wargaming attempt a go and see how it works on a multi base 👍
Hi Lule, what kind of varnish did you used to seal and settle the snow? Any specific brand? I know that some can altered the colour. Can you help? Cheers
love this series. please do more.
Not built terrain yet but found the videos really interesting and informative.

This was perfect and I subscribed to your channel! I build armor so this helps a lot with ideas for dioramas I want to do. Cheers
A good option for the powdered snow that is real cheap is baking soda. It could use some glitter or whatever, but in general it works great.
Hi, there! I am a newbie to diorama making, could you please tell me what snow is this? Thank you kindly! 😍
Hi do you have any necromunda terrain ideas love to see some
Damn... im doing everything wrong. Haha holy crap this looks absolutely amazing in my opinion...
More series like this would be great though pal. Need inspiration.
Please do more videos like this!
great series m8
Hey Luke uk based myself and looking for some snow for my ogre bases can you remember where you get yours from? I know on the video you were not sure.
Hey, Luke. I'm curious about how you might do a path in the snow from people walking across the snow, packing it down and revealing some of the dirt and grass underneath. Mike Nagy use a brush to dab away the snow

That looks epic
looks amazing!
This kind of video is great!
Can you list what you used?
I like this kind of video's mate! Can the next one be a Temple/Cathedral type of diorama?
What instrument do you play?
Please tell me How long will it last?
very helpful and instructive
Great videos thanks they help out so much

Great stuff Luke!
Might your snow have been from Precision Ice and Snow?
Very nice....love it! 😏
What's the band name?
Class mate as per 👍🏻
Yes.. please do more like this.. if you get time...
You got your flock and stuff on the site yet?
Clicked on the link and we.t straight through to main site, not your page
Where was part 4? Didn't show... :)
I wanna hear your band, what kind of music do you play? The plugs and the beard make me assume it’s some kind of Hardcore or Metalcore something like that.
Hello, sorry if I'm asking a question that already got answered, but is part "Cat Oars" missing or am I just blind?
Hey Luke, I'm planning on doing a snow theme on my 40k realm of battle. Do you remember maybe where you got the static grass snow that you use in this video? Also curious regarding the ice sheets you put on in part 6 of the video

Wow... how did I miss that when I was watching the video. Apparently multitasking isn't my greatest attribute haha. Thank you for the quick reply and help mate.
For ice and snow effect apply super glue to a base and then dip into water. Try it.
Luke you cheeky git... Is that the new Green stuff world chameleon paint sets to the right :P got distracted from watching the snow effects lol. Great video mate!
Awesome stuff watching now!
Интересно, зачем вначале столько оттенков травы делать если потом засыпать все снегом, смысл?
sugar?
SUPERBE!!!
I like the video format, might be easier or less time consuming on you if you didnt do the voice over tho, just walk through while you are working it.
Cool.
Something perfectly fine and you go and ruin it into another better version...its like the joy of painting with Bob Ross, it only lacks a nice little mountain and happy little trees talk.
Come on lug holes. Where's the ice video?
This is beautiful but I had to mute the video because of you sniffing all the time ^^'
The fact that you don't know where you got the snow to sift on isn't very helpful.
Not into these long intros tbh Good video besides that though.
