Make sure you look at your hot tub equipment first before moving any of those WHITE wires too 240V.

I like how u explained the dip switches.
Question pump 1 is 2 speed low and high.
Can pump 2 be programmed a be 2 speed pump?
    I just ordered 2 waterway 56 5hp pumps
    Both are 2 speed pumps.
It would be nice to have both pumps have high and low speeds.
    Ty

Both pumps have to be 2 speed. You can buy them 1 speed or 2 speed. The second step is to program the spa pack. Make sure you have the right wiring coming in from the house for amp draw. Normally 6/3

Can you switch the deep switch with the jacuzzi on??
If need to be off; will it take the deepswitch change or it needs to be reset?

Not sure what spa pack you have. Most times you can turn the power off.

will this spa pac replace a VS500Z?? I have an obsolete Bolboa VKV502 p/n 54380 I am working (volunteer) on for a Afghanistan Disabled Army Vet and I cannot find a replacement part. The unit may even need 2 pumps and motors, not sure, just getting started.

What spa pack do you have? The VS500Z ?

The BP7 can replace any of the Balboa spa packs. Get the kit. It includes the topside. If you have more then 3 pumps, you want the TP600 topside.

How does the piping connect to this balboa control? Are they glued, threaded, or compression fitting? I'm thinking of ordering one of these and curious how it connects to plumbing

@@VIPPoolsandSpas thanks for getting back to me so quickly!!! Can this controller be supported by the inlet and outlet piping or does it need it's own mounting? Thanks again

    • @VIPPoolsandSpas
      @VIPPoolsandSpas  3 роки тому +1

@@patswayze2493 there's so many ways this can be mounted. The idea of a retro fit is that it will fit in where you have your old one. Some re plumbing may be needed for height or length. Measure your old heat tube. Balboa heat tubes are 15inches.

What control panel do you have?
    My diagram is incorrect.
Do you know how to obtain the correct diagram?

Yeah , what a surprise as a guy with 30 years in it … why didn’t they mention the change?

    • @VIPPoolsandSpas

I'm sure they said it somewhere, they just never called me. lol Heard it was being shipped 120V to Canada and the US was still 240V/230V. The normal BP in the past were all 240V. I think they were changed because if you didnt see what volts on your equipment was, putting 120V to a 230v pump was no big deal. it would just hum. But, If it the pack was wired 230v and you put it thru a 120V pump....well, that wouldn't be good.
