Alex, you made a huge mistake moving another company's trailer. I don't know about your company, but at mine that's a fireable offense. It's because of the insurance. If someone got hurt or the trailer got damaged during the move, GP Transco's insurance company wouldn't pay because that trailer is not on the policy. So your company would have to pay for it out of pocket.

You don't need a riding lawnmower. Get some sheep or a cow to mow the grass and a few goats to take care of the weeds, brush and trees.
Hey Alex. Just a tip from one truck driver to another. When building air back up. Don't apply your parking brakes. Leave both buttons pushed in so air still goes to the trailer and builds the air up in the tanks there. If you have a trailer brake lever. Pull that down and rev it up to about 1000rpms while doing it.

Im not making judgments alex but when you said you drive around the parking lot to build air so you can then slide the tandems... 18:30 lol why dont you just press the peddle down or high idle. Moving around the parking lot wont make it build air any faster. Probably slower actually especially if you are having to use the brakes to go around parking lot. Just some help.

Some of the negative comments from very experienced drivers. Suggestions are fine, but Alex is trying to gain experience and seems to be doing well. He’s a smart Dude. Not only driving but tending to making videos, and doing the normal lifestyle, eating, sleeping, shopping, etc. He was singing with music on a different video. What language or what nationality is he? I’d say Cuban.
It's not a good habit to leave drivers door wide open when leaving.

Your actually not supposed to. Also,that is work he is not getting paid to do. The liability of someone blaming you if the trailer is damaged,even though you didn't do it,isn't worth it. Just tell them you can't & call your company. But of course,we know who's channel we are watching. So everything is going to be wrong anyway.
Same here, but maybe since it's a Rural King trailer and the Rural King employees at the store told him to move it, it would be ok. But I'm sure there's some legal gray area where he could still be held accountable for possible damages
Rural King is not like a furniture store. Think like tractor supply store (mult item with farming in mind)
Sometimes they load right down the middle so the bags don't rub on the walls and maybe end up with a hole. It's always better to be on the dock when you get loaded if you can. When you have a single pallet on the end secure it to the wall it's next too with one strap on the latch rail near the pallet just latch both ends of the strap to that rail and pull tight little extra work but better than having a spilled pallet Keep on a Trucking

I can't understand how shops and businesses can have sh*tty docks and/or general configuration. Loading and unloading operations are one of the most dangerous parts of operating a buisness : pedestrians/civilians/workers everywhere, forklifts, etc.

Hello Alex, just a suggestion. I wouldn't record when you decide to move a trailer from a different company. Especially because you posted it on a well known streaming place. The company of the other trailer can always say that you were the one that coused damage to their property. Worst case scenario, the trailer king pin breaks while you are trying to hook up with it. When in doubt, call your dispatch and get a name of who told you to do it. Now if you did all this already and you didn't mention it on the video, then disregard my suggestion and I apologize. Other than that, keep doing what you are doing and great job on your videos.👌👍

There are so many different examples already on UA-cam. The pre trip test is easy especially if you’re going to a school and you can actually be around the truck and touch everything. Just remember this. ABCL’s and DOG. ABCL’s means no abrasions, bulges, cuts or leaks. That is for anything rubber…tires, hoses, air lines, etc. Your brakes is DOG meaning no Dirt, Oil or Grease.
Do not trust this guy with any information regarding trucking lol…dude is lost

Lots of these new breed drivers can't drive a manual so companies are mostly going towards Automated transmissions so they can fill those seats. Lol I know it's pathetic they even have restrictions on their licenses 😂😂
@@seanmcguire6011 I wouldn't say so, I learned Manual transmission driving out of school and all of my pears did too because one thing that they tell us "you want no restrictions on your CDL" and we learn and ready but the company doesn't have any. The reasoning is mostly the lack of a proper training program and maintenance costs after busted transmission by new drivers. And fuel
