I was a kid when I first heard about Trump just through pop TV and all the boxing matches. Black people seemed to LOVE him decade after deacde. Nobody ever called him racist until he was involved in politics and there was a reason to do it. Go figure. Maybe I'm wrong but that's my experience.

The definition of INSANITY is doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result. As TRUMP said during his first campaign What do you have to lose?? I voted for him one because he was not a politician. Secondly, I figured a successful businessman could get the job done. Running the country is much like running a business. Too many people worry about his abrasive attitude. Yes sometimes he says some dumb stuff or is a bit too direct. But I do think the man has a good heart and cared about the country. I don’t have to like the man personally but I can respect him when it comes to his business sense. IMO I truly feel he was never accepted because his vote and his influence was never for sale. So people couldn’t get things passed the way they usually did. They had to actually for the first time play by the rules. The easiest way they could get people to turn on a White President was to say he’s racist. Sadly they ran that poor man into the dirt while he took no salary and actually lost some of his net worth. There’s no other explanation for why he ran and why he took the abuse other than he cared about our country.
I agree with you a 100%. That is why I supported/support him because he’s a businessman and outsider.
I remember talking with progressive and liberal friends during bush/ Obama eras and everyone agreed that they were sick and tired of career politicians and wanted an outsider to run.
But when one decided they suddenly decided that you have to like the president on a personal level, instead of their policies and agenda that benefited the country and its citizens.
