One of the first things I did after randomly playing dead space 2 for the first time was to look up all the suits online. Can't believe its even real that I'm doing it again for the remake.
My favorite is the Tank Suit from dead space 1. The developers nerfed all of the DLC because in the second game you don't get the tank suit anymore and you don't get the heavy damage pack.

@AktivexRome Maybe on the subreddit? I think it's way too early for anyone to have legitimately gotten the suit yet, I'd just wait a couple days and I'm sure someone will post a pic of it.

If you have the infected suit and haven't tried it out, I highly suggest wearing it till you get to your first in-person NPC interaction where Issac speaks with an npc face to face. The infected suit adds a...special feature to such encounters.

It really just blows your mind to witness
You can tell just by playing the game normally, the helmet has damage where you can see through it. It’s easier to tell when there’s lighting/godrays that you can stand in and it’ll go through the helmet. Rewatch that part of this video closely and you can see when the helmet is close up
@@seffers4788 well not exactly, all of the suits have that, because they are ALL detachable from issac during certain points. It's in the game itself, not unique to the skin.
The Level 6 suit. Love how the helmet is more skull based design than the original. More menacing.
and the white plating makes it look more skeletal
I miss the red stripes and the elevated face plates. Carver suit looked better and the Dead Space 2 Security suit looks more believable/useful.

Looks nothing like a utilitarian-focused military suit with subtle skeleton/skull motifs with cool red markings to symbolize ranking etc.
Instead it looks like an over-designed superhero stormtrooper outfit made for the sequel trilogy.
Pretty disappointed considering every single other suit is an absolute homerun.
Love how the suit, especially the helmet, becomes more “knightly” and level 6 is just “I’m not locked in here with you, you’re locked in here with me”
Level 6 should be called the "Necroslayer."
If i remember correctly, suits 1 to 5 are all engineering suits, while suit 6 is actualy a army combat suit
I like the Lone survivor but without the hands being antlers , kinda dig the whole less resources/material like Isaac hold off entire horde of Necromorphs .

They did a good job updating the suits while still trying to keep that old gritty feel of some I think.

@@DatAsianGuy Yah, the design of the OG was just the level 4 suit but white and with that fucking ugly helmet, now it's a completely diferent armor plating and the helmet is rad as hell
@@DatAsianGuy The suit looks more like it’s from the cyber Lin Quei than an actual suit that could be from Dead Space, it just looks plain goofy. The original design was already perfect, I’m not sure why they needed to change it. This suit looks like crysis, darksiders, and Sektor combined. It looks retarded.

That infected suit might be my favorite. It's so disgusting and brutal. Just thinking about being stuck halfway between human and nercomorph with the bits of sharpened bone and your guts hanging out like that. Just gives me chills.
I love the fact of a secondary upper mandible now serving as facial armor on the helmet.
The level 6 suit and the venture suit are the best imo
Also he’s headless, when he takes his helmet off to chat with Hammond theres no face or head attached! Its hilarious, like Sleepy Hollow or something

Love the detail of Isaac having a suit that shares qualities with the ones the rest of the crew wears but is still different enough to tell that he's wearing a power armor class suit
I found the necromorphic version of Isaac's suit a really interesting concept, especially the description that says "When your mission is to save the person you love that not even death can stop you".
It's like he's hinting that Isaac died at one point during his mission on the USG-Ishimura and was reanimated by an Infector and turned into a Neromorph (but this transformation caused his body to be fused with his engineer suit). But Isaac's willpower was such that he somehow managed to free himself from the chains of Red Marker's control and the Collective Gnosis and managed to harness his transformation, achieving greater strength, stamina, and longevity, but without losing his intellect and humanity. Thus becoming an independent necromorph that retains his human consciousness and with this "advantage" he opens his way against any threat that comes his way and thus it will be easier for him to fulfill his objective.

They really did an excellent job for suits' design. Absolutely love it. Hope to see the remake of 2 and 3... but will EA let this series thrive?

If they were willing to put this much effort into a remake, I think we might get a true revival of the series.

We would have been wandering space and trying to fight back against the Moons, like a post-apocalyptic zombie story on a galactic scale.
I didn't expect the classic engineer suit to be in the remake. I was expecting that they would add the Advanced Suit, but maybe they're saving that suit for a Dead Space 2 remake. (If that happens)
If this does well enough then it’s a high possibility

Dead space 2 remake is definitely happening. It's a no-brainer at this point.

On the lone survivor suit you can see on the top of the head of the necromorph hanging from your waist that there’s a tic tac toe game. Attention to detail is crazy
6:09 I know it looks a little weird, but I like this suit because I just imagine this crazed man killing necormophs his broken mind somehow fighting off the marker but only barley as the ship is endlessly floating through space.

Really one of the greatest horror games I've ever played At the time I even had Nightmares.
Glad to see the New Game + White suit made it into the remake. My favorite from the first game, I was sad when it didn't show up in Dead Space 2.
As much as I love the attention to detail in these suits, I have to say that I much prefer the suit change sequences in dead space 2. Just feels more natural with Issac taking a moment to adjust to the fit and feel of the armour each time, pushing around the plates to get them to sit just right.

@@Bigdikus Tbh he didn't have that tech in DS1. That sequence began with the DS2 suits.
@Turnie yeah it was in ds2. Was hoping to see it in the remake, but I'm guessing they're trying to keep it as close to the original as they can
Love this game the remake was even better but I wish the kept the helmet animation when you walk out of the pod. It was one of the games features that made me fall in love with it.

It is a cool animation, but you gotta remember that Isaac didn't have that tech in his suit till DS2
Also Isaac is chatty, way different personality, but the gameplay is fire so I can't complain.

Looks awesome can’t wait to play this. slight missed opportunity w/o the old suit change music that kicked in as you stepped out of the pod in DS1 and 2. I loved that theme and remembered it fondly.
AFAIK Dead Space 1 didn't have that, but 2 and 3 did.

Also, I noticed Isaac rubs his left wrist everytime he steps out.
Probably to adjust his plating knowing that it may feel off place. It feels uncomfortable.
The originals had such great replay ability because of all the cool upgrades to weapons and suits. This game was awesome
This game is a classic. Needed a graphic upgrade. Old game still holds up well without, but it's noticable

Yeah the new design for the lv 6 suit is really cool, especially with the skull-like helmet. But the new Venture suit is just straight up sexy.
Am I the only one who just loves the music that plays whenever you upgrade the suit? Its like, the whole game you are barely scraping bye, fighting an uphill battle to stay alive, but then whenever you upgrade, its like for that moment, you finally have the upperhand. It reassures you that you can do this.

I preferred the more original looking original Dead Space 1 version. The way the concept art of that suit looked was perfection. Not trying to be overcomplicated and not trying to be white Ironman.

You can also get a really slick suit by beating impossible mode, called the Burnished Suit. Uses the Level 3 suit design. Black jumpsuit, armor pieces are a Brushed Gunmetal silver, and the visor emissives are a deep red.
I dont understand why its level 3 instead of 5? It would be much better to see even more silver armor plates

I've been wearing the Venture suit the most, but damn that white level 6 suit looks amazing! I'll definitely be wearing that. Unfortunately, I'm only on chapter 7 and have the level 4 rig right now lol
The OG level 3 suit at 5:08 is honestly more of the look I was hoping for. Faithful to the original while still updated with newer graphical detailing and shading. The original Dead Space wasn’t some PS1 game that left a lot of finer detailing up to imagination.
Most look cool still but feel a bit too steampunk for my tastes.
I uh.... I kinda like the new steampunk look.

The Infected skin is probs what happened to Issac after the end of Dead Space 3 if the Awakening DLC was just some dream and Issac was slowly sucumbing to his wounds and somehow got infected after the events that occured.
I like how they change up the linings and panels on the different suit levels
Where’s the Burnished Suit ? Can’t find an image of it anywhere, guessing not many people have finished impossible yet.
I love the little detail that Isaac is really looking at the terminal by moving and tilting his head

I still love the N7 Suit they added to DS3. that was a really good looking suit. Wish they had added here too.
This reminds me of how dead space one had the most overpowered DLC I've ever seen in any game.
You had the tank suit that gave you 60% damage resistance, the heavy damage pack which gave you a plasma cutter and contact beam that could kill anything in one to two hits, and then the speed kills pack that gave you insane level speed.
This was on top of the cheat codes that gave you infinite stasis and infinite oxygen refill.
With the tank suit, heavy damage pack, and cheat codes I could beat all of Dead space 1 in one sitting on the highest difficulty without ever dying.
In fact I beat it the first time ever on the highest difficulty without ever dying.
Impossible for me to do Dead space two or three on the highest difficulty without the DLC without dying.
In Dead space 2 and 3 the DLC packs were never that powerful.
I've beaten every dead space game on its highest difficulty, and it was either part 2 or 3 where doing that earned you the hand cannon.. A giant foam finger issac wears on his hand and just says "bang bang pew pew pew" when you fire it. One shot instantly severes every limb at once. Even on boss level enemies. Makes you feel like a powerful yet deranged psychic

Pretty good looks on some of the new and old RIGs.
Not too fond of the new Marine rig though, preferred bow the original looked vaguely Skull-like, this one looks more like a variant at least.

Level 6 Suit is pretty much Happy Gilmore Isaac joining Cyber Lin Kuei and becoming Triborg killing monsters in space.
They're gorgeous. The only one I'm iffy on is the level 6, but it's growing on me. Every other suit is superb.
Does anyone else kinda wish that you could switch between the different levels of suits after upgrading instead of just being stuck with the highest upgraded suit look after purchase or is that just me? Cuz I like the way the Level 1 and 3 suits look but idk if there's a way to switch back to those.

I really love the Redesign of the Level 5 Suit, the Military Suit and the Venture Suit. To be honest other than the antler and the infected suits (still good just not my cuppa tea) they all smash it out the park. Now I just hope we’ll see some DLC suits like the Astro Suit from DS-08. I can’t believe EA actually made an incredible remake of one of my fav games of all time.
Well don't be thanking EA for shit, Team Motive is the sole reason this remake is good.

I always thought it interesting that level 6 suit was so different from the others. 1-3 were more or less the same with different colors and switching the armor piece between shoulders, 4-5 were basically the same but this time with armor covering the whole body, but once u get to 6, they were like “fuck it… skeleton boi”

How do you reapply the original suit, it doesn’t show up in storage and after applying the venture suit I can’t get it back, on chapter 4 atm.

I once get a glitch when changing the suit, then the dismemberment sound comes out, to my suprise, Isaac turns into floating hip with all the blood all over. Lol
id love to see a secret death animation where a necromorph prys open the doors goes in and then the doors close

Level 5 suit is the best one and the one with hands glued to the head is cool too
Unless it's my phone I can barely see any detail in most of the suits because of darkness you should of gone back and used the first shop that became available at the end of chapter 1 where its a lot brighter
personally I can't tell the difference between most of the suits, the ones that do stand out to me were the infested suit, the one with hands as horns and the one with the skull mask 🤔
Each variation of the suit adds more bracing and armor all over Isaac's body! Except the ones you mentioned which are total reskins
That Elk-Zombiehand-helmet looks too gimmicky for my taste, like it came straight from an Ubisoft title. The rest is quite nice, although I would have liked to see something similar to the Scorpion suit (red theme) and Obsidian suit (black theme), which were exclusive suits in the original Dead Space on PS 3.
There’s a really obscure suit from the 2008 version called the Astronaut suit. Has anyone else heard of this?

I feel that the venture suit would have been a better fit for the level 6 suit, as it fits more naturally after the level 5 but replacing the smaller plates with beefier ones

If you have the infected armor on in a cutscene where he removes his helmet he also removes his head and all that's there is neck, and if you move the camera to see the inside of his helmet you'll he his head is in there. Made me laugh when it first happened.

Kinda a bummer i guess they forgot to make the lights from the helmet giving like haze or godrays to the ground like its flashlight, they did that with DS3
Also I can imagine the Lone Survivor suit being a mini boss that taunts you throughout the game. Some Unitoligist wacko like in DS3 Awakening.

Man I love this remake I already finish it and now I'm on my second run already. I play The first one long time ago and this now is sooo Good! Although I didn't like The military armor in this remake I like the original one better but overall the game is amazing I miss dead space 1
With it being a remake. I was hoping that they would do that kickass helmet transformation animation like they did in 2 & 3.

The level 6 suit has been massacred! Used to feel like a space marine going through the space hulk in the original. The new one is basically a fortnite skin, the physical manifestation of edge. At least the venture suit looks cool I guess.
Who needs level 6 if u got the venture suit. The one with the hands is cool too.
