Pushing myself is something is a tough one for me but I realize deep down, I've got to do it if I want to move forward and make genuine growth as an artist.
Hello Carly, I hope you had a Merry Christmas 🎁 and Happy New Year 🎆 🎊 🎉. May you have a blessed Year 🙏 in your travels and studies and all you do. Take care and be safe. Hope to see more of your great work. Joe.
I've been following your growth from the start, and I truly love all your work! My art focuses on women and nature, emphasizing the deep bonds we share in this world. While I'm still learning, I appreciate how we, as artists, are on a journey of growth, sharing our passions along the way. I’d love to ask: do you have any recommendations for increasing exposure on UA-cam as well as working with art agents, galleries, or mentors? How did you find your mentor?
Hello there 🤗 Have a wonderful Holiday Season and blessings to you and yours throughout the new year.🌹🎀🌹 You are absolutely amazing and do not ever forget that. 🌹🌼💙🙏✌️🎄⛄ Love you always.
What an awesome video Carly. I love seeing you bring your art piece together and sharing a few of your more “out of the studio” pieces of your daily life. But if I’m being really honest you had me captured at the sound of breaking chocolate for your cookies😉😂. Be well and stay safe! B
Your technique looks interesting, almost like you draw with paint instead of painting with paint ! Your brush when touching the canvas, looks almost dry ! It’s super clean and I’m guessing economical, too.
Yes you’re right actually! It’s more of a dry brushing technique. It’s saves money on paint and cleaning. But it ruins my brushes and makes them blunt haha. I’m forever buying new ones for the lines
@@carlyrenee.artI love the dry brushing in my art as well. What brand do you use? My favorite is a filbert but I am also learning to love a flat brush for lines and painting hair.
Cook up a lot of food you can just heat up to eat after you get home and you've the Jet Lag going on. Maybe you'll share a little bit of Snowboarding and Greece with us, Hmmm?
By now you know how I feel about your paintings. Which is amazing, beautiful! However, today this Yum yum yummy is for your chocolate chip cookies! Keep on baking!🌹
I am really interested to know what the story is behind the size of canvasses artists choose, particularly the huge wall-sized ones that we occasionally see. Are these usually commissions (maybe for commercial or hotel buildings)? If not, why so big? Sure big is beautiful, but is also extremely impractical. Expensive to produce, very awkward to transport or store, and very few houses have walls suitable for the display of such huge works. I have asked a number of artists, and tend to get somewhat dismissive replies. Is there some subtle psychology at play here: to send the message that because I only paint huge canvasses, it’s a sign that “I have arrived”; that I am an excellent, professional, widely exhibited artist! Or, maybe I am still only aspiring to be all those things, and “going big” might impress people more than small paintings? I would love to hear your opinions on this!
Haha well for me it’s just a lot easier! My transition into painting wasn’t easy and believe it or not, the smaller the picture is, the harder (for most people). The brushes have to be so small and it’s very hard to get detail in. I also just love the effect of a large painting in a room, I love it when it fills the space/wall. I have a pretty small studio here and I can still fit 3 big paintings at a time. I also feel like I can get a different energy into a large painting than a small one and I can produce a better artwork. I don’t stretch my canvases at all, I paint on them and store them rolled up and when they sell they are so easy to ship in a cylinder tube :) my collectors take the works to get stretched when they receive it 🙏🏼
@@carlyrenee.art I have one further question if I may? How do you go about bring large pieces to the attention of potential buyers/collectors? Just online? Thanks!
If you have a relationship with Jesus, He can get you through anything and calm your anxiety , He loves you and it is Him that have given you your talent, God bless!

Beautiful work young lady.. I love the feminine touch women artists have.. so enchanting.❤😊

Do other things if you don't feel good. Learn math. Physics. Read about quantum computers. Learn nylon classical guitar.

Doing things that are extraordinary should make you feel uncomfortable. You have to get used to that. Otherwise, you will just be like all the rest.
