I think they are surrealist paintings, they show figures represented in the paintings. Abstract art is about lack of represenational figures or forms. Thank you for taking us to view these galleries, it's great getting to see them.
Lovely to watch this; so many familiar walkways and entrances to these galleries, I was calling their names simply from the length of a path, the colour of a door; a joyful few weeks I spent several years ago. One or two marvellous small boutique ones in Paris now gone, but lovely to see these ones still thriving.
I found this one to be your best yet. Beautifully shot, elegantly edited, the lineup was amazing and the commentary on Uzor was powerful. The rain was also perfect. A pleasure to have tagged along.
Ive said this before a while back, but I think it would be so cool if you went into artists studios and did interviews. You would do an awesome job. It is always fun to see what the artist actually thinks and how their process works. As an artist myself, I find a lot of inspiration in that.
Thank you so much for your videos! It is very inspiring: slow motion, wonderful music. I am an artist and I live in France. I dream one day you will come to my exhibition.
Danke für Paris. Verdrehte Heilige Gebäude aus der Gründerzeit, tolle Location Und Mary Lynn Mir gefällt Deine Kenntnis Der Hintergründe Und Dein schwarzes Kleid. Es steht Dir lang und halblang prima. Weiterhin Schöne Tage in Venedig. Ursula Görgen Bonn ❤
Thank you so much for showing us the galleries you`ve visited. The artworks are really great - I like Nick Dyles work tbh and I liked the nude by Chloe Wise as well.
Art is something peoples try to express their feelings with colors , shapes , lines .................If you and artist in the same dimensions then : pleasures and blessings . Any way thank you for showing me Paris in light rain and the food of restaurants .The music so relaxing as the rain .
Modern art is not modern anymore. They are a reflection of last century art. I encourage you to talk about the art ofvthis century. There are very exciting developments !
Daniel Boyd's dot paintings have their roots in Aboriginal artwork, in which every dot represents an ancestor. I saw an exhibit, a few years ago, of contemporary Aboriginal painters, such as Gloria Petyarre and Emily Kame Kngwarreye, whose technique was fully explained, as well as its symbolism.
Excellent video. I liked the Okazaki paintings the best though they would have worked better on a single canvas. Those joins are infuriating! I also liked the nude by Chloe Wise.
Thank you for the tour of these Parisian galleries. Schutz's paintings challenge me. I like alot of abstract figurative work, but there is something very off putting about these works. They lack a generosity of spirit. There is something mean underlying them. Perhaps they capture a public mood or the political moment--unpleasant truths?.
Looking carefully at the speeches upstairs and downstairs, it seems that they are all onlookers, and no one seems to understand the intention of the work or the thinking of the artist, although this point of view will cause you to be very angry
I totally agree. Most of the art is terrible amongst some great artists. Looks like mental patient scribbled, and Drew and colored and painted on these faces. I can’t believe it’s on the wall.

Yes after countries like America and Australia where the houses all look newish these old countries are so fascinating.
Terrific vid
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Always enjoy your videos. Just wonder where the French artists are exhibiting in Paris? Not one French artist in the galleries that you visited.
So much Guston in Shutz's current work!
Thank you!
What is the story of that incredible vaulted stone chamber?!

Does anybody buy these paintings. It would be good if you mentioned prices and what got sold
The angst of our time on full, heart-wrenching display. The Offili curtains, a little silly.
Place des Vosges, pronounced with a soft g. :)

Place des Vosges: pronounced Voje, not Vogue.
Wow this video had 3 decent artists,I guess there’s still hope in this world, the rest was amateur trash!
In Art you have to have a gimmick
Agreed, horrible art horrible time
