Custom Impulse is a rare fixture that is flush to the wall so it looks better opposed to the regular Dover panels. You probably can fit more buttons on to one row on custom opposed to classic.
Leominster City Hall has the Custom Impulse as well, after modding (was a classic Dover). They kept the even more rare original "Dover Buzz", supplied by GAL.
the "This Car Up" lanterns/intermediate floor lanterns and exterior indicators are all Haughton. Safe to assume that's what these used to be as the federal government did use Haughton a lot back then including my local federal building
I'm thinking 14 is likely a maintenance floor. This would explain why it shows up in the service elevator and locked off but no button for it in the regular elevator.
Yeah those lanterns do scream Haughton; the old Mills-Peninsula Hospital had a bank of 3 Haughtons & 2 banks of 2 Westinghouses each (one bank w/ 2 speed doors & the other w/center opening 2 speed doors plus rear doors). Unfortunately I didn't get to film them before the hospital closed at the end of 2010 :(
It would appear that the controller was replaced with something by MCE when they did the modernization, as the flashing button is (or was, anyway) their way of indicating that the floor is locked and that a security code must be entered by pressing the floor buttons in the correct order. KONE did not exist in North America until 1994, and these would have NOT been modded by Dover, which went out in 2000. The beep is one that sounds similar to it, but it is NOT a KONE.
Most of these elevator filmers are younger (between 10-20 years old), a lot of the younger ones would like to pursue a career in architecture. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
