Since getting this add-on I have a hard time not turning it on with every scene. It just makes outdoor scenes look instantly better. I'd make it clear that you don't get the glow effect when using the Cycles renderer. Which is a shame, because it adds a lot to a scene.
So for a better cloud solution would you recommend a cloud addon to customize them from that? Also is this just for outdoor scenes and not really indoors? One more question is if this sky addon can achieve any outdoor lighting I can come up with, which I believe it can.
I'm not at all against people selling addons. Time is money. The only reason I'm able to make these tutorials on this UA-cam channel, is because I'm making income from it, so I can do it full time. If not, then I'd have to work another job. 🙂
Ahh man I don't know which one I like better. I'd say Physical Starlight And Atmosphere is a bit more developed and the performance is a bit better, but the Pro Atmo Addon has a lot more features and also has more customizable values. I also like Pro Atmo's clouds better.
This is also procedural, meaning, even though thier presets are amazing, I can also go in my shader and add color ramp and noise texture and make everything crazy ?
When you first enabled the physical atmosphere and the clouds appeared they look a bit flat and 2 dimensional. Are they sitting on a plane? Is there any way to fix them? Other than that this looks incredible. I love how easy it is to add the presets to your existing scenes. Awesome
This is an amazing add-on, the only issue I'm experiencing is the use of the Stars feature, it doesn't work. I adjust the settings but no stars appear at all.
Thanks for this video ! I've just purchased this awesome add on, but on my PC it is very laggy.. does anyone knows why? it is a laptop with a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz, 16Go Ram, an Nvidia ge force Gtx 1050Ti Thanks in advance
I will suggest unreal Engine 5, if you wish 😅. Unreal has awesome environment with sky, fog, air etc. That look completely photo realistic out of box on default settings and you can adjust so many parameters to make more attractive.
UE is great but having another option is also not too bad. I would wish the addon would make the ground half of the world sphere look flatter, it now looks as if I am flying a drone, unless I use a huge object for the ground and color match that to the background
I opened the asset browser sky presets blender file, that you can download in the product files when you purchase the addon. The landscape was in that file.
4:38 i am biginner in blender.. how did you find that preset in blender.. i have this add on but i dont know how to open that sky presets.. please help
I'm pretty sure you need to download the presets.blend file that comes with the product files on Blender Market. and the presets should be in that file.
The clouds aren´t looking great, they are bad. You are better of using vdb volumes, placed in proper places, these clouds are not fully 3D, flat as hell, and the actual noise pattern for the clouds are not good enough. It´s also much slower than the nishita sky model, which I prefer for sunlight stuff. What it does nicely is night time and stars, though they should throw in a moon option there, moon texture and one that responds to the sunlight direction for illumination of the moon surface, a crescent moon. Stars is nice though, but it is too slow to work with I think, both in cycles and in eevee. It´s starlight sundisc seem work with eevee next though, so if you need it to temperature color your interior room with eevee next, it may be useful, the nishita skymodel do not have the sundisc working and that is essential for the harsch sunlight to penetrate in to any interior room through windows, you do not want a mismarriage between nishita skymodel and additional sunlights.
Its there in the product files when you purchase the addon on Blender Market. If you still can't find it, you can contact either the Blender Market support, or the Addon support.
I have a small problem with the addon. When buying on the homepage it was shown that you could select and save sky presets just like that, but that is not possible, only via the asset browser. Furthermore it is not possible to place objects like planets above or behind the clouds.
4:38 i am biginner in blender.. how did you find that preset in blender.. i have this add on but i dont know how to open that sky presets.. please help
Not sure exactly, as I don't have Pro-Lighting Skys. But I think Pro Lighting Sky's are just HDRI's, where as this addon is totally procedural. I don't think Your able to animate the time of day with Pro-Lighting Skys, like you can with this one.
Use the built in nishita model with global scattering, with the right light path settings for scattering, and anisotrophy, you can get very realistic atmosphere, and faster than this addon, for cycles that is. Night setup you have to add stars manually with points or maps though, and adjust the lightign accordingly, so there this starlight atmosphere is giving something easier to work with. landscaping, if you can´t afford world machine, gaea, sculpt and use displacements ..but that takes a lot of learning.
It is so awesome to see how the addon interacts with your existing scenes! ✨
Yes it is!!! 😀 👍
Truly great addon!
it is!
I Love this add-on! nice review, I am planning to get this in a few days! Nice
its an amazing add-on! Highly recommend.
@@RyanKingArt Yes, Thanks for the Review!

ahh yes the Bloom in Eevee doesn't work in Cycles. Yes its an amazing addon!
You probably figured it since but in cycles, you just have to put a glare node in your composting tab to get the glow effect.
my clouds are not showing in the cycles render. so is there any solution?

Amazing 😍😍
Thank you 😀
such pro review. thnk u much man
you're welcome!
Developer puts thought time and effort into his Addon....
People: Ahhh you want money for that... greedy bastard

@@jokybones Ahh ok. 👍 👍 Sometimes Its hard to know in a UA-cam comment if someone is being serious or just joking. 🙂
You also have to discuss the Geo-sim blender addon. Even though the addon is not too famous, but the results are beyond comprehension... 🔥🔥🔥
I will check it out. Thanks : )
(Physical Starlight And Atmosphere) and (Pro Atmo) addons both are really great which one do you think stands out Ryan!

Thanks! Yeah, I think the clouds are lacking in quality a little. I couldn't find any way to make them look better.
I don´t know why the sky and the floor don´t appear in my project when i add the physical starlight, i made exactly the same steps... 1:28
This is an amazing add-on, the only issue I'm experiencing is the use of the Stars feature, it doesn't work. I adjust the settings but no stars appear at all.
me 2, did you find any solution ?
Anyway to add keyframes - to create timelapses?
yes, you could totally animate the sun light to make sky timelapse videos.
The addon is cool but I don't understand why the object fog doesn't work

When ever I try to render something even an image with the physical start light addon, blender keeps crashing for me, any suggestions?
Hmm not sure. Maybe you should contact the addon's support.
stars not appearing... blender 3.4 :(
Sorry your having problems. I do not offer addon support, as I did not create the addon. Please contact the addon creators.
How to you have the ground environment and mountains as well? I have the addon but I don't have that cool ground.
I opened the asset browser sky presets blender file, that you can download in the product files when you purchase the addon. The landscape was in that file.
someone please help...mine has a black background and there is no sky.....how can i fix this
maybe try rotating the sun light around.
cool addon ...skys are real hard to make this would take alot of work out it
Yeah its very realistic and saves a lot of time!
Oooh new series?
Possibly. 🙂 If my audience likes these types of videos, and if it benefits my business, I might do some more addon reviews in the future.

I don't know why but it is taking so long in updating lights

How can I export the atmosphere to be a skybox on Unity?
maybe I can make a video on that sometime.
