It should be noted that the price of this addon is now $70, up 21% in the one year since this video was made. I really like your videos, Justin, so this is no slam on you. What’s with all these addon makers jacking up prices in the past year or so? The addon market used to be reasonable, but now it feels like price gouging across the board. So much for the “Blender Community”. I’m a die-hard Blender fan and user, but I’d rather learn to do this myself than pay these absurd prices for addons that rarely survive the next Blender update.
Oh man I bought and was playing around with this addon earlier but I started to get reaaally frustrated. I'm still a noob so I was having a lot of trouble figuring out how to navigate all the controls... Thankfully you explained everything in a short but easily understood manner. Thank you!
i am getting an unusual error, after adding keyframes to vertical position of the sun, viewport render mode looks different from rendered image like the dusk scene is not visible it just brighten up the whole scene in rendered image what to do, i tried two different version still the same error
Love this addon. The only thing I don’t really understand with it is the object fog section. Not really sure what it’s doing anytime I mess with it. I don’t see anything happen. And also not sure why I’d want it to apply fog to all my materials like it says it does
I have it it's quite touchy and it can be difficult to control but it's good and very realistic especially for natural lighting glow and blue hour golden hour but nothing beats the real thing I supposed
Sure would like to had seen a cycles rendered image. In this case i could not detect any cloud shadows. I wonder if it would show in cycles and how that would look. But sure a great add on never the less.
@@TheCGEssentials Yes you mentioned that and i can feel the pain. Can you tell how shadows turn out anyway? The clouds are looking great, but if the shadows turn out to look inaccurate, i wonder if this is an addon which is something i would buy. 😄
Hi Justin, firstly all your tutorial are great. I've learned such a lot from them. On this one I'm really struggling to replicate what you have done. At best all the atmospheres are very blurry (M1 Mac). If I start from scratch with a cube all I get is a black screen when the add-on is initiated. Physical Atmos is ticked, new world ticked. Any ideas? Geoff
Do you know what their PSA and PCO licenses mean? Tried to google but found nothing. I wanted to get Pro Atmo before but I had a problem with their TerrainScapes add-on. I asked them what was happening and never heard from them. Blender Market has just refunded for TerrainScapes. However since they do not care to reply to their customers about purchased TerrainScapes and Pro Atmo is their add-on too I decided that I would not buy from them again.
I dont know why but to me it takes long time to render the image, as soon as i move around or try to move the sun etc it gets super slow. I have a 3070 and i never have problem to render big scenes..
I mean...anything using volumetrics or advanced lighting is going to slow down your projects - what lighting settings were you using before you started using it?
I'm kind of disappointed with the addon. So far a majority of the sliders and features advertised either don't work or in the case of the presets don't look anything like the thumbnails or have any customization because the sliders flat out don't change anything.
Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about Physical Starlight and Atmosphere in the comments below! :)

Glad I could help!

Congrats for 100k
:) Thanks!
Cool plugin! Just what I need for a current project. Thanks!
Awesome - I really like this one - it's just really easy to set up :)

i bought it cause of your review
Do you have the presets? I’m missing the presets
Is it possible to have the stars shinning or just being visible with a daytime setting ?

Ugh - problem is when I switch to Cycles it crashes my screen capture software. I probably should have done one anyway, but it's just a pain

Bro how you get the presets ?! They literally missing from my own purchase
my blender starts to lag when i activate physical atmosphere?

Other than support for EEVEE, how different or similar is True Sky?
I want to say that's the biggest difference, but I haven't done an in-depth comparison

How did you oopen Presets?
Its implemented via Blenders asset browser
follow the Presets info in the psa documentation to get it happening.

I downloaded it, but it is slowing down my projects!!!

@@TheCGEssentials Just direct sunlight in EEVEE, and an emision "Sky Dome" for the sky.
you get the same thing for free in ue5.

this addon lagging my pc 🥲
