If you're looking for free materials, try the blender kit library addon, just search for it online and get the addon for free. It has a set of various materials inside blender.
A question: some of these addons won't download for free? it says I should put a price on it and then it asks for credit card detail? aren't they an open source?

Most of it are Gumroad links so just put 0 as price and get the download link for free, same with the blender market links.

You are on gumroad you can just put 0 if im not wrong. There may be a button that says 0 or something of that sort
