NOTE: At 22:15, the second goblin should not have left. The first goblin should have simply left and not has his effect triggered as it was in response to the bunny's effect.
Thank you for doing this play through video! It has helped me decide to support the Kickstarter.
Glad you enjoyed the video, hope you enjoy the game!
Great video, thanks so much! Convinced me to back it, and your video on Food Chain Island convinced me on it too!
Glad to have helped you discover two great games!
Really enjoy your videos. Missed this one. Just ordered it! I appreciate you sharing. Thanks 😎
Thanks for watching and thanks for stopping to leave a comment!
Nice Video! A few things...At 22:15, you triggered the goblin effect, but the goblin was forced to leave because of the Bunny's effect. In the rules it states "If a patron leaves due to an effect by another patron, their negative effect is not triggered". Also, my version of the rules state "If at any point you've had 7 or more patrons leave, you have lost the game".
Good catch on the goblin, you're right. I was focused on the "irked by noise" part and forgot they were leaving by the bunny and not from the bar.
Also correct on the other note as well. In my head, with 28 cards and 4 at the bar, if 7 leave, you could still have 7 at the inn, so I guess I assumed it needed to be more than 7.
@@PurpleMoosePlays I only recognized it because I played it the same way (with the chain reactions) and consistently lost so terribly that I had to assume I read the rules wrong. 😋
@@jasonhwood OK, update from the publisher. It looks like the final version will nee 8 patrons leaving to lose the game, so the video is actually correct on that rule.
How would you rate the difficulty compared to sprawlopolis? I've been looking for small game that can be brought everywhere but doesn't fry my brain.
Not sure if Sprawl is more difficult, but I definitely don't get the horrible brain burn with UGI that I get with Sprawl. Sprawl requires much more planning and forward thinking, this one is much more about mitigating the current situation each round and hoping things don't explode.
@@PurpleMoosePlays Thanks for the answer. Guess I gotta get this one then.
This makes me wonder...Of all the Button Shy games you've played so far, which would you say are the "deepest" ones? I know this one is specifically designed to be simple to play, but their other games tend to be relatively straightforward as well.
It's a bit hard to be very deep with only 18 cards, but they definitely have a range. I think the deepest soloable game that I have played is likely Universal Rule, which is kind of like an 18 card 4X game. I will likely do a video for it before too long.
Otherwise, there is a postcard game series that you get PNP from PNP Arcade called Chain Mail, that is a twist on a dungeon crawl, but that doesn't follow the 18 card thing at all.
For multiplayer, I haven't played it yet, but Liberation seems pretty deep. It's supposed to sort of be an 18 card version of Star Wars Rebellion.
@@PurpleMoosePlays Interesting. I'll have to give those a look then. Sort of been wondering how much game can be squeezed out of something small. I look forward to watching your future videos.
For me, the deepest of the one I tried is still Sprawlopolis, especially if you add in a few expansion like Interstate, Beaches or maybe Construction Zones.
For me its spaceshipped wow what a game
@@mabos555 That's another great recommendation. Should have my copy on the way as soon as it's back in stock, and then I'll likely do a video for that one as well!
The one thing I am not fond of here is the poor use of table space. Perhaps two columns would have been better, but I will admit the layout fits the theme.
can i have the copy?
