Vermont sure looked interesting and quite beautiful. Coffee is certainly a must and perhaps bourbon but not together? Just an FYI I installed a USB port in my left saddlebag that is hooked direct to the battery so I charge batteries while riding and parked. Never a dead camera, Perhaps a project for your new wing. I don't do the two finger wave, I have to do a three finger to be correct 🙂 Nice video, Thank for take us along.
Thanks for coming along. What actually happened is I changed batteries but did not notice the card was almost full. Always a juggle. I could charge 2 cameera batteries at a time on the ST... will set the Goldwing up the same way. Vermont and New Hampshire are great summer or fall if you hit the right roads.
I live in Brattleboro. It was fun to watch you ride the same roads I ride on all the time. Especially now when the bike is put away for the season, cheers.
@@OldGuyonaBike I like videos like yours because they have that laid back vibe to them and your gentle voice as well. I live in the UK and we sometimes travel up North for our holidays 'we live in the South East of the UK' and Cumbria on the North West Coast of our country is a favourite of mine and the Lake District is a very well known place in the UK and the scenery is beautiful as well like some areas of your country.
I'm glad you are enjoying the videoa. I'm primarily making them for me in 15-20 years so I can look back and go "I did that. I remember going there" Lots of very scenic areas in the UK. Spent 3 weeks in London years ago. No motorcycling but I did get to the Ace Cafe. Grandparents came from just north of Edinborough. Would love to get over again but I have a lot of North America yet to explore..@@shiralleehaggart72
Great video , different camars and angles keeps it interesting. The roads you ride make a fellow want to get on the road . However it February, so i shall enjoy your travels and videos . Cant wait to get the wing and trailer out and head for the Rockies this spring .
Thanks for coming along. Editing the videos keeps me sane while the snow gets blown around the house. I'm heading to the Rockies in July, over to Vanvouver Island and then down the PCH. Might hit Mexico before I start back to Newfoundland.
That was a great video Jim. It was nice of Brian to hook up and ride with you on your trip. I do like the pearl white Goldwing. The motel mix-up must have sucked, but things happen on the road. We all have been there at some point. I will be watching for your next video. Hope the snow begins to clear away soon and spring starts to show itself. Time for a fresh new season on two wheels.
Too many places with the same name lol and working on the small screen of the phone... have learned to look twice before committing. Nice Goldwing indeed. We'll be lucky to have enough snow gone for a first ride mis-April but I have lots to keep me busy until then.
Okay, I think I’m not gonna comment on every video. As much as I love them I feel it would too much of a burden on you to try to respond to each and every one. Just know I thank you for taking the time to make and share these videos with us. Tom
"Intentions are always made...early in the day". Love that thought. Probably because it is true. Early in the day we look forward. Later in the day, we look back with sadness or even regret. Looking forward to seeing the new Wing. and 2022 is ancient history, it is 2024! 70 Degrees forecast for southern Indiana on Friday!! Oh yes, 2024!
-10C/14Fand blowing hard here. I'm looking forward to seeing the Wing again too. Seeing if weather and trailer come together two weekends from now. I'm still having fun reliving 2022 but I am getting eager to really get into 2024. Have my ticket for RMR. I plan on making it this time lol.
@@OldGuyonaBike Amanda's get-together is very relaxing. You'll enjoy it and definitely it is something to look forward to. I'm putting together a plan to go across North Dakota to Glacier National Park. The "Road to the Sun" is worth doing if you have a chance.
@@richardmourdock2719 I was thinking of riding Hwy 12 both ways after RMR and then going to Glacier before heading back into Canada for a couple of weeks.
I hope to be doing a 4 corners this summer but I may plan on riding the interior of the continent in 2025... I'll keep Portsmith, OH on the radar for that.
@@OldGuyonaBike It's worth the trip if you can make it. Get your picture taken along the floodwall in front of the motorcycle mural. Right across the street is an old log cabin, and if the nice lady we met several years ago still lives there, she'll gladly give you a tour of her historical cabin and have you sign the guest book. Some dignitaries have been there. Around the corner is the oldest motorcycle club in America. The building is still used and I understand the chapter still meets there. Lots of history down there along the Ohio River.
It is great to have a riding partner sometime but on a trip like that it's best to be alone and just meet up with people along the way. It was sure nice to have that boost pack. A great addition to your kit Jim.
I'm not sure if I could ride daily with others for long periods. Certainly don't mind the day rides. Brian has ridden with me a few times when going down that way. The booster was a smart buy and of course on sale at Cdn. Tire!
The chin cam does get one better into the picture but I like to change things up a little. Having a 2nd camera running also helps if a battery dies or an SD card gets full. The trailer makes a nice steady filming platform as well.
When you say bourbon I think of KY. I was born and raised there. For the most part. Dang!!! I love your videos I’m planning a summer on the road this year. Mostly the south east. Ain’t been to Fla. since I got caught up in a butt load of rain back in 2015. Who knows maybe we’ll meet up somewhere along the line. Just ordered a new mini mate. Ok I’m waiting on the information about the shipping locale. Hope to see ya on the road. Tom
I love the colours in NH, VT and ME that time of year. My uncle lives in the White Mountains, so from the time I was a kid, I got to spend lots of travels there, and in fact the first "long" distance trip I ever took was to there with my tent strapped to the back of my Kawasake LTD 440 back in the early 1980's. I was there again this past summer, but the Goldwing makes it an all together different ride. One certainly is that if you are riding in leaf peeping season, you either better be prepared to break the piggy bank or book VERY early on, which is not practical when taking it day by day like this. Glad you found some nice digs though eventually
It's a great area to ride in any time of the year but certainly special in the autumn. The motels and resorts take advantage of it. Rates almost double from early August. I was quite pleased with where I ended up and you'll hear a bit more of my evening there in the next travel video.
Right before that tanker turned left onto rout 91 in VT, you passed a red building on your right called the Vermont Country Deli. Man did you miss a treat. It's hard to even begin to describe how awesome the interior is and how delicious the food is. I live about an hour and fifteen minutes south in western Massachusetts, and it's a regular spot for me.
I stayed in that motel in Bethel 11 years ago on my way to Ingonish. Very reasonably priced and spotlessly clean on the second floor over a womens attire store.
I've been living and working in Newfoundland the past 28? years. Got rid of the house and the past 3 winters I have been doing a winter rental on the outskirts of Gros Morne National Park. Nice and quiet. This year I also have some work on the go for the local summer theatre... extra travel $$.
Pretty colors, good roads, nice buildings, mostly dry, good friends, all in one day. I call that wonderful:)
It was a great day. Editing it brought good memories and smiles to me. Helps beat the winter blues.
comme a chaque fois de belle video on voyage avec vous
Merci beaucoup d'être venu.
i have passed through that beautiful area of the US many times . It was great to see it again in full fall bloom . Thank you !
A favourite area of mine when heading out or coming back from Newfoundland.

Totally agree... I'd stop for the Saxton River one anytime! Subtle and smooth, not like the one I had earlier on this trip.
