Naw, I've done this enough times to know. That's HER ego. They like the idea of having someone to be there for her emotional needs, but hate having to do "relationship maintenance". This is how women start situationships . They hate to admit that they love all the benefits but hate the work! Plus they think if they say it you're going to "Smash and Dash", which will make her feel even worse. Women get jammed up here because they hate the idea of men having the other options available to them.

Probably because the “what’s mine is mine, what’s yours is mine” mindset is still there. I think it was KS that said girl bosses raise themselves out of relationships brackets. They make themselves equal to high earners, but still want a dude doing better than them. Like you said, a dude wouldn’t have a problem with her working. But she’ll have a problem with him making less than her. Since what women look for is a provider, this means to her that she is now the head of the household.
Also, I’m guessing her problem is getting to know each other. If she’s working all the time, how they even going to start something? There wouldn’t be a problem if she blew up while she was his girl.

I think it's this "soft life " that is the problem! Stop working at 35, is not a realistic approach to making money, or planning for retirement! Have you met a doctor or lawyer who has stopped working at 35? Appreciation,inflation, cost of living, and the cost of existing has gotten so out of hand that she can't even take time off to focus on a relationship long term! She runs a business, so she barely has time to get married! This is another 60 year old waiting for Mr right in the making! If this was a man his wife would have left him or cheated by now! Does have your own business take that much out of you that it is the relationship and purpose of life? If the business is the relationship then you are the servant to the business, and not the boss! Marriage is a partnership till the end and many people just don't get that anymore! She is not going to get this!
