Woodturning - From Plank To Plate.. But With FIRE!?

Welcome to Ian Mac Woodturning. In this weeks video I had a go at some Poplar, I thought I'd make a nice plate and burn the rim to give it a bit of a different look, it's similar to the bowl I posted a few weeks ago and I suppose could be a set.

I especially like the torched rim it accentuates the grain of the Poplar brilliantly.
