Thanks for the thorough history. I have watched many Nexat videos but yours is the first that names the founders. Also have only seen the tracked version before.
The single biggest issue with the whole thing will be the massive weight of the machine. Just going on gran tank capacity, at 32,000 L is just under double that of Deere X9 110 at 16,850L, of Fendt Ideal 10t 17,100L Using average grain weights for weight, that's up to and EXTRA 10,000 kilo more weight just from the grain, up to 1/2 the weight of an other large combine empty. Even with the large foot print tracks the Nexat runs on the total weight of the system would mean ANY wet soil conditions where a regular large combine would struggle, the Nexat would not even be able to enter thee field. In the middle of the US the conditions can be so bad that even smaller combines like the Deere S780 can become stuck in mud up to the frame, simply driving across the field, even without any grain in the tank. The sheer mass of the Nexat limits it to only the best possible field conditions.
Good point, but it is made to work in CTF fields. That means always driving in the same lane. That will create huge soil compaction, but only in the exact lane where the Nexat is driving and leave everything else untouched. And if you dont plant anything in those lanes you wont have any compactionissues at all. And in wet conditions the much compacted lanes will still let you drive without getting stuck. Hope you did understand me because I am not the best english writer😅
Just wondering how easy or difficult is the machine to get unstuck without twisting the frame with it so wide let alone your issue with total weight . Where do you hook to ????
Thanks! Please give me feedback if I pronounce or say something incorrectly grammatically - I want to master my english to the level I could be mistaken with a native 😉😊
Thank you for great videos of interesting machines, regards from Finland 🇫🇮 👍😎 Would be great to see video of Jacto Uniport planter 500(huge self propelled seeder) from you... 😁
The weird thing about it to me is that their biggest selling point is “automation”. But everything they do. Can be put into a standard tractor which allows you to lease literally anything you may need and doesn’t need you to wait on nexat or whoever to make a new nexat compatible module. Everything it can do, can be done better and cheaper with standard form tractors and combines
I like the Diesel electric idea but the tool carrier design is not gonna get of the ground the versatility of a standard tractor is unmatched something like a JD 7R is a jack of all trades machine plenty of power to pull almost everything other then the largest of implements. it can have a front end loader it can seed, cultivate, spray, mow, ted, bale, tow trailers, grain carts, bale wagons, bales loaders.
I imagine something like this would replace the larger tractors doing seed drilling, spraying and harvesting. And then the farm would keep smaller conventional tractors for those tasks this can't do. So this would be kinda like, instead of buying a harvester that just harvests, you get a harvester that can do other things as well, like replace your sprayer.
Absolutely enthralled with your videos ‼️One thing I would like for those of us who are metric illiterate is a conversion of meters to feet and inches please.
Those are quite interesting machines, first time ever seeing such a thing. We dont have such innovative machinery here in Canada, maybe in another province ? no idea . All i see here (i live in Farm land/Rural) are the generic combines/harvesters, and typically only One brand, Massey Furgesson, however its spelled . I am really enjoying your videos mate, its nice to see whats up around the world, being a former farmer myself i just like to see whats around, i just grow for family needs now, no more tractors unfortunately . Thanks for what you do . Cheers .
He said only 2 in operation one in Germany and one in Ukraine so that is probebly why you haven't seen it. Also I haven't been to Canada but I know the farms there usaly sticks whit one brand but different farms use different brands and pretty sure you can find them all there.
i always wondered if they were gonna have special seed units behind the tracks, because the sprayer has such large width they could grow more crop in the wheel tracks where the sprayer doesnt run
@@mohabatkhanmalak1161 With a 70m spraying boom and ~15m seeding width, for spraying you will only need two of the five (or six depends on your definition) tracks used for seeding. So the other three could be seeded and harvested as Faze Obama proposed. I would expect them to yield a little less because of the compaction, though.
every combines breaks down, even new one. I just saw a totally new John Deer combine had the entire left driveline literally explode and a shaft splitt. In for a long repair, in those situation, they either rent a combine, but since this combine was quite new, it's under the manufacture guarantee, so they would probably get a temporary combine, while it is being fixed. The same thing while happen with the Nexat, it break down and need service, you get a loaner.
@@heuhenthe nexat doesn’t use any of the standard mounting points, so when your machine breaks down, you didn’t just loose the combine itself, you lost the auger or the cutting head or the sprayer. In other machines you’d just unhitch that thing, tow out your broken tractor then get back to it. In this. Everything is gone. Which is why so many are skeptical. It’s too much unique hardware. Also, an “all in one, jack of all trades” tractor has already been tried. It was called the New Idea Uni-System. And if failed because it had too much unique hardware. It just wasn’t good at anything. Now you’ll most commonly see them being used in the forage harvesting(making silage) but they thought down when farming was only increasing in scale. I fear the same thing is happening here. It’s just too niche, idk.
it's two mirror next to each other, the video angle just make it look like two small one. There are two Nexat in operation, both have a little different setup, due to different traffic rule in those two country
@@heuhenit’s not that it’s useless, it’s that it is too unique. If it has a 3 point mount or even a tow mount, there would be no complaint but complexity. And that’s just built into the gantry system. It’s that if you want automated systems, they already exist in the standard form factor. If you want high customization and modularity, it already exists in current tractors. This is an all eggs in one basket situation. And that basket isn’t all that great
I think the nexat is ridiculous and won't take off , for one i bet it's stupidly expensive plus you will have to invest in buying the combine attachment and the tillage and seeding machines. The size of it is impractical for most farmer's and will struggle to be able to get in most fields in certain countries, plus you will have to invest millions of dollars into all the machinery to go with the nexat and change your whole way of establishing your crops and harvesting them . But there's going to be a hell of a lot of weight concentrated on the wheels or tracks at each end of the machine, i don't think anymore money should be put into developing the nexat because it's just to much of a niche machine to be widely accepted by farmer's.

If your in a region where the do deep tillage anyways, probably won't matter much? Some places around me completely regrade every year with dirt pans
@@rickpederson1219 both side can work independent of each other, (4 wheel steering) so just pull that side that is stuck.
Now you have to do a history of Uni-System

Interesting sum up.

This would be realy fun to see in a dlc for fs22 or a New tractor in fs 23/24

Ok, I will add the conversion from metric system to feet/inches/bushels next time :)
With large tracks and a large cart with tracks used to unload. This style of combine could be used in typical wet harvest conditions.
A history of Swedish tractors would be quite cool to see
It is a good concept, would like to see working figures for fuel consumption per area work done, time etc compared to conventional machines.
Just wondering how easy or difficult is the machine to get unstuck without twisting the frame with it so wide. Where do you hook to ????
I would probable hook to one side at a time and work it out.
or hook two winches one to either side.
This thing is amazing!! I wonder if it is a mod for Farm Sim 22? :D

The tracks are necessary throughout, from seeding, spraying to harvesting. If they seed the tracks, spraying won't be possible.

I feel like one half the size would be more useful for most farmers.
