No shark unjumped has to be my new favorite phrase. 😂
Great stuff. I’ve read and enjoyed/loved a number of Le Guin’s books. I love how she always pushed to make something more than genre fiction even if the results are mixed sometimes.
So what science fiction books do you love? Or maybe I should say, “Hey are you ever going to make that favorite science fiction books video you (never) promised?”

Glad you liked my little turn of phrase! :P
I'm really falling behind on booktube (this year I'm trying to mainly read HUGE books of around 1000 pages, and that isn't helping lol), BUT! I really would like to do a review video of one or all my my fave sci-fi stories. The one I wanted to review was Solaris by Stanislaw Lem, but the other two I like are Clockwork Orange (which isn't strictly a sci-fi IMO, and Akira (the incredibly influential manga series). Out of the 3, Solaris is by far the most sci-fi, if that makes sense. Check it out :D

Winter must be hefty books time. I finished Shogun and Pandora's Star in the past month. Now I'm halfway through Musashi. Not a problem if it wasn't so damn good that I can't bring myself to read faster.
Solaris is totally in my tbr. Its in Barlowe's Guide as well so I've obligated myself to read it as part of my challenge. My wife and I watched the original '72 movie last year and loved it.
I think Clockwork occupies a similar space as Slaughterhouse Five. Haven't read Clockwork though...I mean yet.
You should absolutely do something on the Akira manga. Loved the anime since it I paid $35 US for a VHS and it was called it Japanimation.

Just to be clear that no sharks were harmed in the writing of this book lol This book is great to read and then to sit back and ponder it.

Definitely! It's one of those classic 'makes you think' type of sci-fi :D
