Sean Payton had Taysom Hill looking competent as a starting QB and Zach immediately becomes the most NATURALLY TALENTED QB he has ever had ahold of. He is the same age as both Penix and Nix despite already having 3 seasons of NFL experience. Wilder things have happened so we will see.

I seem to be the lone Broncos fan thrilled about acquiring Zach Wilson! If we manage to trade down in the first round and secure an additional second-round pick, I'll be stoked AF. Additionally, I hope Zach sits for a year.

Timestamp 4:18 - 4:31. We will see how well this ages. Seven starting QBs in one draft is insane, that is almost 1/4 of the starting QBs in the entire league! These “draft experts” said the same thing three years ago in 2021. It was supposed to be a QB heavy draft, four out of the five QBs drafted in the 2021 first round (Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, and Mac Jones) no longer play for the teams that they were drafted by. If three guys in the draft this year become long term starters that is a solid QB draft.
The 2020 draft class produced like 5 of the top 15 qbs in the league so you never know
nobody said all those 2021 QBs would be elite..... most people were confused by the Wilson hype and why he was seemingly guaranteed to #2 overall, Trey Lance hadn't even played in almost 2 years and was one of the most inexperienced highly drafted QBs ever, Justin Fields was widely regarded as an incredibly raw project who had difficulty with complex reads, and people thought Mac Jones would at least be efficient but saw nothing outstanding about him whatsoever..... Lawrence was the *ONLY* one with actual hype and expectations, so i don't know what kind of history you're trying to re-write here but that 2021 QB class was LOADED with ?'s and major criticisms while THIS class was widely regarded years ahead of time as being absolutely stacked

Drake Maye “bad yr” are good stats for anyone else. Man had a new OC that played a spread off taking a bunch of deep shot with a terrible oline. I’ll die on the hill that UNC would’ve been 2-10 if they didn’t have Drake Maye. Drake Maye came to unc in 2021. Sat and learned the system and immediately ballout out the next yr and then they changed his OC. Mmmm how many times have we seen that happen to QBs in the NFL? A freaking tone. Give this kid a system and some talent and he’s gonna be fine

Rattler at a mediocre South Carolina (and I’m a diehard fan of the gamecocks ) was one of the top rated quarterbacks in the SEC,… And one of the most hit and hurried quarterbacks in the entire FBS. He was worth at least four wins alone to that team. Watch out for him in the NFL.
The confidence in Sean Peyton's ability to turn below average guys, no-namers, and former busts into stars is nuclear level.

The problems with the Jets extend far beyond the QB. You have a coaching problem, a front office problem, and a culture problem. You haven’t had a top tier QB since Joe Namath and 40 year old and oft injured Aaron Rodgers is not the answer either.

Maye is just like the last 2 QBs from UNC Trubisky and Howell. Big arms but play in that insanely simplistic offense and can't convert to NFL defenses. All 3 busts

What a lot of people don’t realize is most of those later picks QBs mentioned were taken by better teams. Like Purdy and Brady… both drafted by good teams so what does it matter where they are drafted if they land in a great situation? Situation has everything to do with a QB’s success. Bryce Young would be good with a great team too. Ask Mayfield how that works or Stafford.

I thought Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson sucked. Then I watched a few games. Darnold has talent and can win games with a decent team, more so than Wilson. Wilson seems meh but showed some promise. More fun games to see these guys with new teams.

Packer fans are salivating at the notion that the Vikings may give up THREE first round picks for a bust like Drake Maye. That would surpass the Herschel Walker trade as the worst Vikings move of all time. Drake was worse than terrible in the first half of his last game against NC State - watch the video.
Theres many factors that lead to being a bust. Calling someone a bust without out doing any research is lazy and unprofessional.

Most people don't plan to fail they fail to plan these teams won't to rush these young QBs to the field before time

You have to compare apples to apples, not oranges. Both Williams and Maye regressed this year with lesser talent. Daniels had a Heisman year with TWO projected first round receivers to throw to. Give me the QB that does more with less. That is the QB I want on my team. That is why Purdy slipped through to the seventh round. On another note, I expect Harbaugh to trade up with either the Cardinals or Chargers depending on availability to get one of the top four QBs. The Chargers are out of luck if Harrison does not go in the top four as they sit at 5th. If one of the top four QBs is available, they will be able to trade back. Most likely Minnesota (assuming they don't cut a deal with the Pats or Cardinals). In which case, Harbaugh is sitting at 11 and 27 this year and a first from Minn next year. If that happens, then I expect Harbaugh to trade #11 to Niners for Aiyuk and Niners first (#31). That gives Harbaugh a sure thing at receiver and the 27th, 31st, and 37th picks. That is quite a haul for Harbaugh to turn around the Chargers. All depends on how the top four picks play out.
If Payton can coach up Wilson, he will be a good QB. The Jets are historically bad developing QBs. Wilson has all of the tools! He will be the starter for the Broncos this upcoming season

All of the successful developmental QBs had good to great offensive coaches. All of the developmental draft busts were stuck with bozo coaches.
Not sure what you're seeing with Pratt. Doesn't seem very accurate. Stares down one receiver. Numbers in a weak conference are unremarkable.

How can scouts keep their jobs and whiff on the second pick. When a pick fails, it’s mostly a coaching issue.

Only two more days until all this silly speculation about GUESSING which quarterbacks will be drafted AND manage to somehow stay around for awhile. THEN, the draft happens, we all realize these 'genius talking heads' were just guessing like the rest of us, and we can then move on to the next stage. . . hyping up the drafted players before the season again removes the guesswork.
