Imagine paying Russell Wilson 38 million Not to play and replacing him with Zac Wilson
Seems kind of poetic 😂🤞🏾😮💨
I'm imagining it. They got rid of a washed-up player and replaced him with a clear Pro Bowl talent.
Not making any excuses for Zach, but the Jets have recently been failing every rookie QB they’ve drafted lol
That's a good excuse. QBs need blocking, coherent coaching, and at least two receivers and a decent running back.
As a jets fan I’m starting to think maybe the incompetent organization is the problem and it’s probably not fair to just keep blaming the 21/22 year old kids.
except Bway Joe😂
@@anthonykology1728 Joe Willie was coached by Bear Bryant. Nuff said.
The Denver Broncos just stole him for a bag of peanuts in a pick swap; Jets receive the 203rd round pick for Zach Wilson and their 256th pick to Denver. Watch him go lights out for them which shows how shitty the QB Coach in NY is !!! Time will tell. The Jets O line was horrible and couldn’t protect their QB’s to save their life, A. Rodgers Torn Achilles, Mike White, broken Ribs… This was a no brainer for the Broncos with a very, very low risk and High reward scenario plus the Jets are paying over 5M of his salary for 2024 as well lol. Watch the Kid go lights out in Denver, only time will tell but for Denver to receive the 2021 2nd overall pick for a bag of peanuts like the 203rd pick for their 256th pick and Zach Wilson is pure robbery and genius !!! I am a Broncos Fan and no disrespect to the Jets but I am super excited to see where this goes. I still believe we are drafting a QB, but having Wilson for almost nothing was a no brainer for us. 😂🤣😂 💪🎊🍾🫡
They failed Sam Darnold too.
Very true
Nathaniel Hackett will look like a complete imposter if Zach plays even mediocre in Denver
I think it's already be proven Hackett is indeed a hack.
I see this working out well for Denver and Hackett looking bad...
Hackett only worked with zach for 1 season...he sucked with the other coordinator as well....
ZW was in the league two years when Hackett came along and he wasn't exactly a #2 pick in his two previous years, either. Hackett did his job, aka, brought in a system for his QB1.
It's ZW's fault he couldn't adapt to the system, that is his freaking job. He couldn't do his job and rightfully has found a new home. I wish him well and hope Payton can find something that no one else could but that's a +1 on Payton, not a -1 on Hackett.
@michaelwill7811 exactly...I watched some people within our fanbase make excuses for zach when our other coordinator (Mike lafluer) was with him...mlf left jets for the rams & that offense didn't miss a beat with Stafford as qb...zach got worst each season in the league..kid is no good..I can't even use the rookie defensive minded hc as a excuse nomore for zach because look what Texans hc did last season
The thumbnail with Dan O. Is so on point and absolutely 100% right. The Jets failed Zach Wilson with a poor coaching staff and a putrid offensive line.
He’s had many chances and has a star receiver and did nothing with him. It’s funny all these other 2021 Qbs get excuses besides Trey Lance who only played just 3 games
@@patek9789 The excuses have some validity. Poor coaching and putrid O line were facts for Zach and Fields; and are two things Josh Allen and Mahommes and Lamar Jackson had from day one. Again, as I said, if you're drafted in the top five or ten it's a rocky road unless you luck out like CJ Stroud.
@@patek9789 lol, star receiver who? Garrett Wilson is a number #2 WR not a game changer.
@@thombrowne1014GW is a back to back 1000 yard receiver with all time bad QB play. Will be top 3 with Aaron
@@jedwingWilson had it FAR worse than Fields. It’s not even a comparison. Bears went from a loaded playoff team, to a disaster because of Fields. Fields was so terrible, the Bears were forced to trade away and let Pro Bowl players walk in free agency because the team was dead in the water with Fields. Jets started off in a far worse situation with Wilson than Bears with Fields. Plus Fields got to stink up the field and never once get benched for his garbage play. Meanwhile, the Jets would yank Wilson anytime he made a mistake. It was a disgrace. The Fields and Wilson situations were NOTHING alike.
Both sides can be held accountable in his first year the jets didn’t have any real talent or high profile talents like that when he first was drafted for those who don’t read he didn’t much develop he had moments but both sides can be held accountable
Most teams fail QBs because they don't allow them to sit on the bench for a year or two and grow. Same gonna happen with the top 4 QBs this year
Yes. Mahommes sat for awhile (not sure how many gaimes). Steve Young. Aaron Rodgers. Brett Favre. I'm sure i could think of others as could you. This notion of throw them against the wall and see which ones still is absurd.
@jedwing explain Stroud then? Every qb is different. Not every single one has to sit. It just depends on the specific player and their situation
@@johnnyjets2343 Stroud came to a team that had a revamped good Oline, very good receivers, and good coaching. All three are difficult to get as a rookie QB.
@@bigdogstatus83 really? because prior to them drafting Stroud and hiring Demeco Ryans, the Texans have been the laughing stock of the league for the past few years.
@@johnnyjets2343 Yeah, but they revamped the team. He had a very good team around him. That always helps. They got even better over this offseason so far. That’s the thing about the NFL, you can go from a mediocre or bad team to a very good to mediocre team in one off season.
This is why you don’t draft a QB till you have a good team already assembled but these dumb team management never learn
I tend to agree.. But... Texans didn't have a good team last year when they drafted Cj.. An they have a defensive minded HC. I think its a combination of both.. The team your going to an how actually bringing in the right qb to your team.
🤣🤣🤣... were the Colts already good before Manning? Were the Texans already good before Stroud? Were the Bengals already good before Burrow? Jordan Love just dominated in year 1 of a rebuild with the youngest and least experienced roster in the entire nfl. Eagles won 4 games the year before they drafted Hurts. Cowboys had 1 winning season the previous 6 years before drafting Prescott. Bills had ONE playoff appearance the previous 18 years before they drafted Allen. Jags won ONE game the year before they drafted Lawrence. You catching on yet??? I bet you're not 🤣🤣🤣
Bro Dan thinks every single player in the NFL can be MVP[ dude glazes more than anyone ive ever seen. Zach Wilson is not an NFL QB. It's that simple.
Zach Wilson performed better than every other QB during his time there with the Jets as Aaron Rodgers and Mike White couldn't stay on the field and win games. Joe Flacco WAS SO BAD that no team would call him until 10 games into the season and EVERYONE else was hurt and then Flacco played very well for the Browns and got a nice contract from Indy. Simien? Boyle? Given a chance, he can be good. MVP level I doubt, but a good QB that can lead a team to wins, absolutely
@@richardprescott5939 wow. You're a Zach Wilson troll. Well, you got me. Congrats
@@AdamB34 Again - no one succeeded here. No one could move the offense and stay healthy doing it. It was a bad situation for all QBs involved. Zach will have a chance elsewhere with a competent coach. But no QB was going to succeed under his cirumstances. WATCH games and you might learn something.
@@richardprescott5939 no no no 🤣🤣🤣🤣.... the OTHER TERRIBLE QBS couldn't succeed there. Plenty of good qbs would've still been good in NY. You keep acting like just because Mike White, Josh Johnson, Chris Streveler, Trevor Siemian and Joe Flacco couldn't succeed there then no qb in the nfl could have 🤣🤣🤣. You're literally just making things up at this point.
@@AdamB34 The fact is, NO ONE suceeded. No one could move that team including Joe Flacco, who did move his team when he went to Cleveland. That is a fact. Still waiting how Joe Flacco could be so BAD WITH THE JETS that he couldn't even get an offer to come into a team's training camp and then lead the team to the playoffs. C'mon. How?
Trevor Lawrence is the last 2021 1st rd qb w the same team that drafted him
From the best class since 83 to possibly the worst in NFL history! 😀
Man, being a top 5 QB is mostly a bad deal. You are going to bad teams, often with a change of GMs and coaches.
…. For now
@@jedwingChicago is finally set up to actually support 1
@@OutsidetheEchochamber For sure. Justin will do well over there and let's hope Caleb is not a flake. I watched several USC games and I'm not sold on him. Like you said, with those free agents they got and the many draft picks, it's up to the coach, who I also am not sold on. We'll see.
zach wilson is a very talented qb with zero confidence in himself. Payton is the perfect coach for him since hes a master motivator and leader more so than even being a great playcaller/play designer. i think if any coach was going to get the most out of wilson it'd be payton.
Yeah he's a great motivator as he's screaming and berating players on the sidelines.
Funny, Payton looks like a bully of a coach who demoralizes players and has somehow "fallen up" on the backs of great players like Brees, through luck. The Broncos are doomed to mediocrity for a long time.
@@edwardsjohnpaul Brees was a bust before Payton made him elite
Remember when Payton was going to fix Russ? Or when he was going to make Taysom Hill the next Steve Young? Or how he was going to make Jameis Winston play like a #1 pick should play?
Say it ain't so Zach Wilson
When will we stop blaming draft picks, and start blaming faulty Olines, coaching, play calling and etc... The NFL, has a development problem, not a QB talent problem.
Dan is right to an extent. Look at the caliber of Qb's the Jets have had since Joe Namath. Chad Pennington, Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith etc... Jets are one of the worst if not the worst franchises when it comes to figuring out the Qb position and I see more of the same happening when Rodgers decides to retire.
Chad and Sanchez were just not good. And Geno Smith flourished in Seattle, which is another problem with the Jets: they never know how to develop a player. No one gets better unless you go elsewhere. The trick is to not get worse.
"You're a moron" Chad was very good; unfortunately injuries did him in.
@@jorgeconde5956 Pennington had one good season. He was absolutely not "very good" 🤣🤣🤣
Jets are not a good run franchise. They put these kids out there way too soon, let them sit a year, then play them. They put them out there, they don’t give them any help, the jets o-line was trash and they had ZERO weapons!
Not true the Jets had weapons! Wilson & hall
@edubb1luv100 yes that true but when you have a struggling OC , Ol, and Qb that not really a recipe for success. two weapons dnt win youcant compensate for that much struggles
@@Dcb897 true
Getting a Mahomes or Allen is a stroke of luck, Finding a savior of the franchise is hard and most of them didn’t go in top 5 picks
I remember when he got drafted, and every analyst said after the jets traded Sam darnold, “If the jets manage to mess up two top 3 QB picks, Douglas needs to be fired.” Rodgers has 2 years at best but realistically this is his last rodeo. They are fucked, there veteran defensive guys will not want to stay through another QB rebuild when the team regardless of coaching staffs has proven they can’t develop a QB.
As a jets fan, I’m never going forget JD telling Darnold we’ll build around you and falling in love with Wilson over a dam pro day. They overhauled the whole offense for Wilson, and he didn’t shine. This is on him, they gave him enough pieces.
Enough skill players, but terrible coaches and o-line. It was abysmal and just ruined the kid
@@MarckySportsDenver coaching has nothing to do with throwing the ball high or in the grass.
@@odigomez1787 It definitely does though. There's a reason why he wasn't throwing the ball high or low in college like in the NFL. Coaches and the plays they call can help QB's with mechanics and knowing where to go with the ball.
@@MarckySportsDenver well congrats Denver fan, you have a gem of a QB for basically free.
@@MarckySportsDenver college? That's your argument? Do you know how many horrible nfl qbs were good in college? Almost ALL of them lol. Wilson had good qb coaches with track records of success with other qbs. Nobody made him be one of the least accurate qbs (based on advanced accuracy metrics, not simply completion%) in the nfl. That's on him, not the coaches.
I’m sorry, if the jets took Josh Allen, there is 0 evidence that the jets would have been able to develop him the way buffalo did. Allen would be buried on some depth chart like Sam darnold has been.
3 years removed from getting rid of Sam darnold man this organization is not taking any accountability 🤣🤣🤣
This O-Line has been a problem for years now
But it doesn’t absolve Zach Wilson from being god awful, if he showed at least a scintilla of sustained quality of QB play then the O-Line would’ve worked harder and would’ve seen improvement over the years
The Jets ruin every qb career either it's a rookie or a vet
Zach Wilson was destined to be one of the NFL's worst draft picks by virtue of his lack of talent and experience, coupled with his horrible attitude and personality. He plays like his mother talks.
These draft experts like Mel Kiper are a waste of time. He had Zach Wilson going to the Jets at pick 2 and now acts like it was such a terrible pick and they made a mistake not taking Josh Allen. No credibility!
Huh? Zach Wilson wasn't in the same draft as Josh Allen. So yea, it was a mistake to draft Sam Darnold over Josh Allen in 2018. 3 years later in 2021 kiper had them taking Zach Wilson #2, that doesn't mean it wasn't a mistake to not draft Allen in 2018 lol
The New York Jets are the worst organization, by far, in the NFL.
And that's a high bar because there are some other really bad ones
You will never, ever see an organization mismanage a highly talented young QB worse than the pathetic, putrid, inept, moronic, disfunctional Jets managed Zach Wilson.
The kid can play.
Sean Payton got a steal and with the team burdened by the departed Wilson's ridiculous dead cap space, this Wilson is a godsend.
Meanwhile, Rogers will get hurt again in New York and be out for the season and the Jets will, once again, look like the complete assholes they've always been.
The over-under is 4 snaps for Rodgers
Even if they got Josh Allen, it would’ve been the same result. They can’t develop anybody.
Any team with the worst offensive line multiple years in a row in the league has failed their quarterback case closed.
Facts. And throw in substandard coaching and weapons that shoot blanks (by the time the other Wilson showed up it was too late).
💯
The Bengals had one of the worst olines and Burrow got sacked more than any qb in the nfl in 2021... he still balled out and went to the super bowl. That's what a good qb does
@@AdamB34 When they have a good coach and one of the best receivers in the game. And Dee Williams, another very good receivers. BTW how is he doin'? I have heard much the last two years.
@@jedwing who? Burrow? Well his coach was 6-15-1 and on the verge of getting fired until Burrow saved his job, so you got that wrong. And Burrow was a pro bowler and 4th in mvp voting in 2022 so you also just proved you're a casual by saying you haven't heard anything from him in years 🤣
Broncos fans trying to trash Russell Wilson just to get Zack Wilson is hilarious 😂.
Jets had worst OL in league.
Year in year out. Season after season.
@@jedwinginjuries year in and year out. Context is huge.
And with Wilson, the worst QB.
@@johnnyjets2343 True dat. Bad luck with moves that I approved of like the players signed and drafted. They need to figure out their conditioning coaching situation. There's this woman who is the conditioning coach at Tampa Bay and they do well in avoiding injuries. Luck is certainly part of it but this is something we need to look at.

still not as good as your dad
He's right that The Jets failed Zach Wilson. The Jets have always been bad at developing QB, but great at creating top 5 to top 10 defenses. I could never understand why they couldn't build the offence line about Zach Wilson. Hope, the best for him and his career in Denver.
Remind me who Denvers top receiver and rb are again? Last I checked, they didn't have a good Oline either and are the worst in the afc west.
they produced another draft bust. The Jets always suck at drafting a decent qb.
@KadeemG61 yup, it's not always that they "ruin them." it's that they always seem to draft the wrong players.
They failed him by getting him an elite wr, great running back and top tier defense? A good qb would've had those Jets teams in the playoffs every year
@@johnnyjets2343 Not Good would be a huge improvement
the NFL as a whole has failed so many qb's with this microwavable, musical chair way they go about looking for the next best thing instead of doing the work, Looking for a ready made player tko SAVE THE FRANCHISE ,. my question then becomes , what is the point of having coaching then?
Love how quickly the narrative became Zach Wilson freed from the Jets! Will see who was freed from whom..
Funny 😂 a garbage QB himself defending another garbage QB..
Don't do Dan like that. He's good at what he's doing.
Birds of a feather 😂
What have you accomplished? It’s like if you were mid at ya job but defending another mid like stfu
Funny how no one has this energy for Perkins lmao. He criticizes Jokic when his career average was 5 points a game
@@sakaonsaka394 I’m still at my job so better than orlvosky did in the NFL
As a Jets fan I ask , can you not rush the next rookie qb onto the field? I have to wonder if the Owner has something to do with that. Throwing young kids out there to learn their craft behind suspect O-lines, is not optimal. Sanchez is the exception, as they were coming off of a 9-7 record with a good team around him.
I think its a bit on both the jets had one of the worst O-lines in the league last season and did not really give him a lot of time he also had one the highest drop rates in the league also repeatedly benching him and going back to him completely killed his audience and the jets had one of the worst OC's in the league but zack could have been better they lost games off lf bad passes and turnovers which are on zach, the jets never really have been known to develop QB's I think a change on scenery is good for zach who still has potential
Jets failed Zach guy has huge potential but he was a sit and learn qb. My thing is jets should have kept him and let him sit at third string where is our future qb. U traded him for a 6th that will likely get cut
Jets are a toxic front office and gm is a complete joke:
People forgot they drafted him off potential I feel it was a stretch taking him that high because he didn’t have any games in college where I was star struck..
Wilson did show some serious improvement after getting benched last season. He is a viable backup for years to come.
The Jets failed Zach and Zach failed the Jets 😂
Ikr, people acting like he was just a bystander in being terrible 😂
That OL and that O coordinator? Yeah they failed him. Big time. Not that I liked him much anyways...but he never had a chance with the Jets.
You can make those same excuses for most highly drafted qbs
Wow, you do not show Zach's good video? Only the bad. In August 2023 in Hall of Fame game in pre-season, Zach throws 50 yard completion pass in early minutes of game and within days Adam Negative Shifter, says online, "Zach will not play in this league for many years to come." And after a great game!!!!!!!!! What brought that comment on? Then Zach beats the Bills in game 1!!!!
The jets failed…..by drafting Zach Wilson. STOP THE SLANDER
You is right, Dan
They didn’t “fail” Sam. He hasn’t lit the league on fire since he left. Didn’t “fail” Zach. The worst stats for any QB to be allowed to play so many games.
Sure they did. They had a rookie 35 year old OC. Didn't have a veteran QB. Every other QB who got on the field was worse. Not even a 4-time MVP or a Super Bowl MVP. Remember Joe Flacco couldn't move these Jets and couldn't get an offer, then got the Browns to the playoffs. But with the Jets he was awful. Noticing a trend?
@@richardprescott5939 I disagree that every QB during his time with the Jets did worse. Anyway, I hope he has success in this league and I think he will.
@@mizzo9 Well I guess the logical question is who did better? Why not share?
@@richardprescott5939 Mike White? Flacco had some big passing yards, Trever won. They were all backups for a reason. Look, I was a Zach Wilson fan. I rooted for him and I’m still rooting for him to have success.
@@mizzo9 THEY DID. Trevor beat the Skins (almost blew that game with his pick 6) and then the Pats with 177 from Breece Hall in the last 2 games. He was still awful. Mike White also got the Bears and Vikings the year before. Lost to the Vikes with2 INT's. Played one good defense the following week and got knocked out. ALL of those QBs had similar QB ratings. Zach WON games for them. Flacco COULDN'T EVEN GET A JOB OFFER last year based on his work with the Jets. Then when there was literally no one else, Cleveland gets him and he moves their offense. He was freed from the awful Jets offense. When you watch the games, there aren't these wide open players out ther very often. You don't have time, you don't have a running game that gets you in decent down and distance. Zach had NO CHANCE here.
The best thing about draft week? Soon Kipers face is not on any screen for another year :)
Well said
Sean gets rid of one Wilson just to get another Wilson 🤣🤣 and the overhype of Zach 😅
3:33, Zach Wilson can play. All he needs is a coach that knows how to use his talents. Sean Payton knows what to do. Roll outs, play action, deep throws, it will be a total turn around for the better foe Zach💯Watch.
No he can't. If you think he can, you don't know how to watch film
Obviously, I know something. I posted this 4 MONTHS ago and Sean Payton must have seen it😂Zach Wilson has played well in Denver, Payton has said. Imagine if he had Sean Payton from the beginning! Love the UA-cam give and take though, keep it up!💯
Better then Rodgers and his 3 plays lol😂
The jets sure failed Zach Wilson! They turned him into a scapegoat from management and the top down. Dude never had a offensive line, receivers were also not helping him out and couldn’t separate from their defender and running backs couldn’t help him out either for play action passing which is something Zach can do well.
He had one of the best #1 wrs in the nfl last year and his #1 running back had the 2nd most total yards for rbs in the entire nfl. He also had a top 5-10 defense. Stop making excuses for him being terrible
@@AdamB34 Did you expect him to be Mahomes or Brady?! If so then you’re a fool firstly and secondly the surrounding cast is just as to blame for it as well. About to? He's constantly been defending mediocre quarterbacks.
Zach Wilson failed Zach Wilson.
Kyle shannhan couldn't coach up Lance and he's a Offensive genius plain and simple if a QB has skills they will translate it to the NFL feild regardless. Zachs only skillset is throwing spirals
I don't think it affects at all...
We are defnitely saving on the prints of the jerseys since its pretty much another Wilson

Zach Wilson just don't have heart.
JETS BACKUP GONE FOR NOW 😊
Mel is talking crazy. If Josh Allen went to the jets he wouldn't have developed.
Mel how about completing a sentence before you start two other thoughts.
I hear Mel talk but can only see Ty Schmit.
Keep in mind this is the same QB that ran out of his own end zone saying this. Comical
That’s foolish. Just because he wasn’t gd doesn’t mean that he’s not a great analyst of the position. That’s just an unnecessary low blow in your part.
What did you do in the league?
Dan: If its a white QB, its never the QBs fault.
Yup 🤮
People I haven't seen a white Bronco cause this much of a stir since OJ in 1994
I felt like Dan went to the barber and said "I want my ears to be more visible" even tho they already were. Also his expressions when he doesnt agree with someone reminds me a junior high kid
He asked for that Jonah Jameson haircut aka Spider-Man’s boss at the daily bugle
Dan will excuses for some quarterback and others it their fault. Why he was not a good NFL quarterback the job is one of the most difficult one in sport.
Broncos still drafting a QB. If not then they extending Zach very soon.
As a QB you have the aptitude to do line checks, call protects and such this dude doesn't have that. He was medicore at BYU I dont see why the expectations were ever high with him. Yes the Jets started him too early but his skill set was never that of an NFL QB no feild awareness etc. i can go on and on, leadership (Pats game).

How did the Jets failed him they drafted G Wilson, he had some horrible games that he was not even on the field mentally, glad he's gone.
The only thing that failed zach wilson was being drafted 2nd overall when he should have been a 5th round project. It was clear and easy to see he wasn't good at byu. Why did anyone think he would be good at a higher level? My 7 year old son can throw a catchable ball to a person 4 yards away. Zach couldn't do what 90% of all elementary school kids can. The Jets failed zach?! Is this the 3rd fart on national tv by dan? My gawd, learn some manners.
endless excuses for a certain crop of QBs. Its always someone else's fault
Zach willson 7th round pick being traded to the broncons
Well...yes the Jets failed him...but seriously...he was never more than a practice team QB. Now he is the Broncos problem.
You missed the point. They never allowed him to show you that he’s his best self. He was supposed to sit and learn. The Jets never did that.
@TheHighlanderprime Lol. You missed the point. He was the second pick of the draft. At best...he is a decent Practice Team QB. He was drafted...because his parents are friends with Woody. There is nothing he has that will allow him to grow. He panics
Russell Wilson didn’t bring me here smh;
Dan has been a Zach Wilson apologist for years so his take is predictable.
Dan gave you legitimate provable reasons; and you call him an apologist. He’s 100% correct here about the Jets failing to groom ZW.
That not true last year when Zw imploded he was on greeny show. Him and Ryan Clark literally torn into Zw. Dan may say things here there that dnt agree with but to a point and extent the Jets did themselves or Zw any favors
He was top 5 qb he was gonna start. Zach Wilson sucks lol can’t we just say it
Dan thinking Zach Wilson had potential is like him… wait he’s literally Zach Wilson skill wise. Ok guys I think we all know why he’s the only one left defending him. Sees a little bit of himself in the backup 🤡😂
Bet on it: Zach Wilson runs out the back of the end zone next season 😂😂
Why does Dan always look wasted 🤔
Broncos quarterback room looking great now baby!!!! Nix and Wilson between those two sean will make one of them a superstar quarterback!!! Both have the ability to be franchise quarterbacks! This could be a Drew Bree’s vs Phillip rivers type decision the broncos are making in two years!
Shout outs to nix the rookie I must say he has a great processing brain like a manning and Bree’s. He has the fastest processor of everybody in the draft
Saleh and this guy never had a chance to get along
You can say a lot of bust QBs failed bc of the team they were on. Did Mac Jones fail or did the Patriots fail him? Blaine Gabbert? Christian Ponder? Tim Couch? Brandon Weeden? Josh Rosen? Sam Darnold?

They’re the best team in the league to do it! Zach Wilson deserves a much better environment. Payton is an amazing coach! Sure it didn’t work with Russell Wilson but look at what he did with Drew Brees! He fixed him immediately! I think Payton is going to do the same here with Zach! Good move for the Broncos!
