This trip was a short trip to the Middle Provo, Charleston area to fish one of my favorite sections to fish. It was a pleasant surprise to once again catch a lot of Rainbows in this area. Over the past year or two I haven't seen many Rainbows in this area.
The higher water levels I believe are allowing the fish from Deer Creek to come up the river.
I can't complain how the day started and finished. I was able to catch a new PB Rainbow on the Provo.

Thanks Trent! Ya, that is my guess. The higher water is allowing those Bows to travel upstream from the reservoir for sure!

Nice day fishing. I like the big rainbow you caught. It's sad you have butter fingers because I really wanted to see the rainbow before it slipped away. Just like strawberry, didn't even have time to see it, dang it.

Thanks for watching! It was definitely a good fight to get the Bow to the net! I thoughts I was going to lose him a couple of times when he took off downstream, but I was able to get his nose upstream again.

Thank James! Yep, that is exactly my experience also. I was more shocked when it was a Rainbow last year. This year I caught all Rainbows except one Brown and whitefish.

@@familyflyties3913 Thanks for the reply. I live in Midway and used to fish the Provo almost every day, then it got crowded and I moved on. Now I've started fishing it again. Perhaps we'll run in to each other sometime.
all i ever catch is browns
In this area I used to only catch Browns, but now with the increase in water level from DC the Rainbows are coming up from DC. I'm catching more Bows now in this area than Browns.
