Even though my pc lost around -1.7% cinebench r23 score, but the cpu temp went down by 10c on full load! 7800x3d, disabling power down and memory context restor did not work well, it took a minute to boot so i re-enabled them which fixed the booting issue, thank you
If you applyed all the settings and for some reason you keep goin straight to the bios repeatedly just go to the option where you dissable SATA CONTROLLERS ( advance/SATA CONFIGURATION ) . and set it back to Enable and try it , thats what help me in other to go into windows and not to bios.
this literally fixed all my problems idk what it was but before I would play a game and try watching Netflix on my second monitor my pc would crash but not no more it’s been running perfectly for hours and no crashes
BIG THANKS. I almost returned my machine. It's been 25 years since I put AMD together for the first time with this board and 7800x3D cpu. It kept freezing when restarting, it didn't go any further. I went through everything and lo and behold, the RAMs are stable, running at 6000, and the reboot hasn't frozen for days. THANKS
I have no idea what I just modified in each option in the video, but I have more fps and less consumption, please make an undervolt one for the 7900XTX. thanks and regards.

I appreciate the comment, I just made my channel to help others, I know it's frustrating that utubers are just making videos for click bait without actually giving you the right info
Thanks for the vid man, these settings work very well for me. One thing that I found that can make it better is instead of selecting the processes in process lasso, you can go to cpu affinity and add a wildcard for * and set it to the other ccd. That way it’s gonna apply to all the new processes that may get started while you play
How do you add a wildcard? I usually just manually lock the games once I launch them (after clients locked to cache ccd). Would that do the same thing?
Can't thank you enough ! I was wondering why I was getting insane gpu core load dips and its all because the cpu wasn't keeping up. 7800x3d + 4080 playing bdo. Gpu usage finally stable !
Each reply saying something different. Cache: It will set everything that runs to prefer the first 8 cores. (The X3d Cores) Frequency: It will use the cores with the highest clocks. This normally being the last 8 non x3d cores. Unless are limited. Driver: This will use the x3d driver in windows that gets installed with your Chipset and I think requires Game bar to decide what cores to use (IE Gamebar will detect a game and set its cores to be the x3d cores) Something missing is also that Asus released a separate BIOS option, that uses an equation to work out if a game is running. called Core Flex. Found under Ai Tweeker. While leaving the Settings above set to Auto.
This has helped me a lot thank you! My 7950X3D with 2x32gb sticks of DDR6000 ram, proart x670e benefited from the curve settings by putting the CCD0 to -20 but left the 8-15 cores at P0 since putting them at neg10 started to cause memory crashes in windows.. but it works amazing now. Quick questions: 1- In the vid at 0:56 you select asynchronous mode ...is that needed if im not changing the dimm timings (sticking with expo2 default). 2- In the Core Flex at 5:25 : Can I use those settings if I only did the CPU core curve and the blck @2000 (I didnt overclock cpu nor touched dimm timings)? The way the vid is set up seems to be that it all works together. Thanks again!
You can leave it to default, no need to use asynchronous theirs not much benefit from using it I stopped using core flex and I use process lasso instead on my 7950x3d
Will this work with my Newly released 7600x3d matched with a asus b650plus Wi-Fi and a 6750xt! I’m hoping I can tweak it like yours with my 7600x3d. Thank you! Amazing video
@@drippydrip6849 yes! The only thing that might change is the undervolt settings i would start it -20 and if it boots up and seems stable change it to -22 and just repeat it, -30 should be you max undervolt
if I have a fps rate above 700hrz, as soon as I perform a bechmark and a stress test and if the numbers went up, I already saw that 8 processors run above 5,200 mhz and the rest at 4,500 mhz almost fixed, I have Ryzen 9 7900x3d and rx 7900 xtx, I think if I improve, R6S gives 2739 fps in main and in game 400fps, more games need to be tested.
If you do per core stress test on occt you can get another boost in performance but it is time consuming and I'm talking hrs like 8hrs min of stress testing
I think he meant to change your cores from cache to frequency, somewhere in the common options in the bios, it says something like *cppc preffered cores*

does disabling sata if you dont use them have any actual performance effect ? also on the settings why did you not increase the boost clock +200mhz , scalar option has effect to keeps the clocks higher
It won't effect performance in terms on fps but it should slightly reduce overall system Latency, the more things you turn off the better, I saw no difference in gaming when boosting the clock and changing the scalar from the auto option

Hey why is there a difference betwen this video and the crossair one the undervolting on the 7950x3d and on this video u disable intergrated graphics but not on the crossair video?😊 im just trying to figoure out whic to fallowe since this video is newer
That video was the first one I made, so I might have missed a couple of things as far as undervolt their is different ways to do it, this is a simplified version and more recent, so follow this one instead, I'm still looking more into the bios to see what else I can modify
@Snaplexity if you follow the video, it will give you the best performance, if you want a steady 5ghz you will need to cmd promt a code to have your pc at full speed the whole time (not recommended)
@@Mateo_FPS yes i know just wanted to be able hit those mhz sometimes..iam hitting around 4850 4900 .didnt do anything in bios except enabling 6k mhz speed expo on 2x32gb kit rams
@Snaplexity the only other thing you can do is debloat windows to increase performance, turn off resize bar(major increase in cpu performance-decreases gpu performance)
@@Mateo_FPS donta wanna do that..do I need only pbo to enabled to achieve hit sometimes 5ghz?..since other guy was messing with negstive 20 30 thingy ans cant boot windows anymore even after default
@Snaplexity -30 should be easily achievable, every pc will give you slightly different results but this is something i did with 3 different mobos and 3 different cpus and it all worked out fine, sometimes people miss a setting or dont input the correct thing and it changes the result, if it doesn't boot up, all you have to do is reset bios/remove cmos battery and it works fine after that
Hi. Appreciate your video. I got a WHEA error on OCCT at -30. What are your suggestion? Should I try -28 or -25 or something else? (7800X3D Water Cooled + Asus TUF B650)
Are you in per core or all core? If you go to event viewer in windows and see the whea error, if it says cpu or processor you will need to reduce the undervolt, I believe the apid Id/cpu core Is 1/2=0, 3/4=1, 5/6=2...etc Example.. if it says something about processor/ cpu it will also say something about apic id and their will be a number next to it so if it says apic id 8, that means you need to reduce the undervolt in core 3 by 2, I would repeat this until all whea errors are gone, I'm not in front of the computer right now but I'll update me reply with the actual whea error message when I get on my pc
@@Mateo_FPS I reduced the undervolt to 28 and so far no WHEA error on OCCT. Tested some light gaming and seems good so far. By the way, if I disable the Security options from BIOS, I can't login to Windows 11.
@@Mateo_FPS goat , im using your bios setting curently and im fine with -40 . i linked your video to some ppls who was have problems with stable -15 now -30 with no issues . w8ing for new boards video :D thx for share
Just use the profile that your ram sticks came with and see if it's stable, the profiles are good already, even if you tweaked them manually you won't see much performance gains but if your interested in ram Timmings I recommend you watch buildzoid channel , he has a lot of content about rams sticks and timmings
For the CPU SOC and MC voltage, I’ve heard this should be manually set but I noticed you have yours set to auto. Is auto safe, and would a manual setting of say 1.25v have a negative impact on both?
Nice video, thanks! (subbed) I'm on b650e-f gaming wi-fi, 7800x3d, rx6950xt... I find that these settings don't really do anything performance wise (for me - maybe because this cpu can max my graphics w/o xtra boost needed?)... my cpu freq + temps are the same as before. The only thing that changes this for me is the CORE PERFORMANCE BOOST (I will call this CPB form now on) setting: Auto/Enabled will always push the CPU to 5050Mhz max freq, regardless of PBO settings (both in the asus and amd menus for it), and nothing will effect how it performs. If I turn off CPB, the CPU will default to its 4200MHz max freq, and never go past it. Am I missing something here? Should I not be able to run PBO w/o CPB enabled (keep in mind, this is a setting for AUTOMATIC overclocking), which seems to me to overrun any other settings I make? P.S. I use HWinfo for CPU readouts (HWmonitor clearly does not report correct info when it comes to freq on my CPU).
If you game at 240hz or less their is no need for this, this is for people who game at 360hz and up, I should have probably mentioned this at the beginning of the video, you will see a performance gain if the game is more cpu bound, even the 4090 is not good enough for the 7800x3d/7950x3d Something odd is probably happening with your boost, it will be hard for me to tell from my end, but one thing you can do is, have a power plan for gaming only and a power plan for everything else, meaning your non gaming profile make sure the power limit is not 100% this should turn off the boost
@@Mateo_FPS @Mateo_FPS Ok! Gtk! I game at ultrawide 165hz, so I guess I'm good then 😎. But I do notice a slight difference when multitasking, programming and doing graphic design if I don't have boost enabled. So I just was wanted to max the cpu as much as possible w/o it getting so hot (which it does when CPB is enabled). Anyway, big thanks for your reply! I will look into having different power plans.
@byDo4a if you undervolt you have the potential to increase frequency, the higher the more fps you can achieve, probably up to 10fps or more in gains, which might not seem like a lot but companies try to sell new cpu that are barely 10% increase performance
Hi! I'm still studying your build on 7800x3d, gskill 6400 cl32 xpm. I liked the results of OCCT SSE. But I still have the only question, how did you come to LLC 3lvl? LLC has the property of dangerous processor surges, it's very important... It's important to know that it's safe
LLC is more of a trial and error because it doesn't really show what values it has, but if you were to leave it on auto you will probably see no performance loss, it's more for stability of you oc/uv
@@Mateo_FPS LLC lvl 3 will Vdrop the use of voltage when the CPU is on high usage.. so more lvl like lvl 4 will undervolt more but will be more unstable.. LVL1 will be almost between the positive and negative line from 0 to -1 for example so u will go more safe not undervolting.. so ur negative 30 all core will be more stable.... or maybe u can increase to negative 40 o 45 all core.. @murilocantharino2034 that video is most of what I did, the only difference is my cpu is undervolt better , cuz I spent hrs figuring it out, I didn't make a video cuz I don't think people will waste that much time doing it, one other thing you can do is download ryzen master and see your 2 best cores, and undervolt them -20 and the rest -30
@iliyarezvanfar25 enable your xmp profile and undervolt all core -20, but in reality these settings on this video are safe, worst thing that can happen is it doesnt boot up but you can always reset it and everything is back to normal
If you have a good aio or a good fan this should not effect you at all, but if you cheaped out on a cpu cooler it will get warmer, nothing that will damage the cpu. Since the cpu will just throttle down if it gets too hot
Is it worth applying a core voltage offset with pbo combined together or is it unpredictable instability for no performance/Temperature reduction, im currently using a -0.0500 on voltage offset
I wouldn't do any offset, I would leave it to whatever you expo/docp profile sets it at, and if you are worried about Temps, under the pbo setting, thermal throttle limit I put it at 89 which is the max(safe) but you can reduce to whatever you like , but do keep in mind limiting the voltage and thermal capacity you will lose performance
What does is most optimal for the curve optimizer and what does it do.. ive done it, and i put it on -35 negative on all cores. Is it better at lower set point ? Lile 30 or 25? Or is higher better ?
Maybe I shouldn't have word it 1/3, but most people/"experts" say for ddr5 the flck should be speed/2 and then divide 1.5,....6000/2, 3000/1.5, so It would be a 1:3 ratio, this should be a typical stable oc that would work for everyone but it can still be fine tuned to a specific computer, it can be lower or higher depending on what the computer allows you to do
@@Mateo_FPS I tried FCLK=2200 on my DDR5-6400 and the system wouldn't POST. Had to do a CMOS reset. 2133 (1/3 rated MT/s) is working perfectly, and I did see a slight performance boost with my 7950X3D.

@RodrigoBraga some people notice issues with stability with memory oc and disabling memory context restore will solve it , but if you have no issues then leave it enabled
Some people have issues when they oc their memory, so disabling memory context restore will help with stability, but if you care about boot times then leave it enabled but if you have issues with memory, disabling this will help out as the pc makes sure it's all good before it boots up
Understand what MCR is. Normally, RAM is tested and trained at every reboot if necessary. Enabling MCR disables the memory training. It can increase boot time, but isn't it worth a few extra seconds to get better stability?.

@N-ro8wv the only other part to check is turning off background services that you aren't using or bringing down the processes running
Thanks for the vid man, these settings work very well for me. One thing that I found that can make it better is instead of selecting the processes in process lasso, you can go to cpu affinity and add a wildcard for * and set it to the other ccd. That way it’s gonna apply to all the new processes that may get started while you play
I'll look into it, I appreciate the suggestion I'm always looking to improve and sharing it
How do you add a wildcard? I usually just manually lock the games once I launch them (after clients locked to cache ccd). Would that do the same thing?

Did you set in Bios to prefer cache, frequency or auto? I haven't found this in your walkthrough.
Thank you!
good question im asuming cache is the best for x3D's
Frequency for both 7800x3d and 7950x3d, it's mostly usefull for the 7950x3d on the 7800x3d it does nothing if you select either
For 7900x3d and 7950x3d you should select “driver”
@@ramzeslo2 ok, will try this as well
Each reply saying something different.
Cache: It will set everything that runs to prefer the first 8 cores. (The X3d Cores)
Frequency: It will use the cores with the highest clocks. This normally being the last 8 non x3d cores. Unless are limited.
Driver: This will use the x3d driver in windows that gets installed with your Chipset and I think requires Game bar to decide what cores to use (IE Gamebar will detect a game and set its cores to be the x3d cores)
Something missing is also that Asus released a separate BIOS option, that uses an equation to work out if a game is running. called Core Flex.
Quick questions:
1- In the vid at 0:56 you select asynchronous mode ...is that needed if im not changing the dimm timings (sticking with expo2 default).
2- In the Core Flex at 5:25 : Can I use those settings if I only did the CPU core curve and the blck @2000 (I didnt overclock cpu nor touched dimm timings)? The way the vid is set up seems to be that it all works together.
Thanks again!
You can leave it to default, no need to use asynchronous theirs not much benefit from using it

If your not gaming at 360hz with a 4090 or 7900xtx this is pointless to do

hey thanks I was wondering PBO enhacement or enabled is enough to hit 5ghz on 7800x3d?which settings to choose on strix b650E E
@Snaplexity if you follow the video, it will give you the best performance, if you want a steady 5ghz you will need to cmd promt a code to have your pc at full speed the whole time (not recommended)

If you go to event viewer in windows and see the whea error, if it says cpu or processor you will need to reduce the undervolt, I believe the apid Id/cpu core
Is 1/2=0, 3/4=1, 5/6=2...etc
Example.. if it says something about processor/ cpu it will also say something about apic id and their will be a number next to it so if it says apic id 8, that means you need to reduce the undervolt in core 3 by 2, I would repeat this until all whea errors are gone, I'm not in front of the computer right now but I'll update me reply with the actual whea error message when I get on my pc

Nice video, thanks! (subbed)
I'm on b650e-f gaming wi-fi, 7800x3d, rx6950xt...
If you game at 240hz or less their is no need for this, this is for people who game at 360hz and up, I should have probably mentioned this at the beginning of the video, you will see a performance gain if the game is more cpu bound, even the 4090 is not good enough for the 7800x3d/7950x3d
Something odd is probably happening with your boost, it will be hard for me to tell from my end, but one thing you can do is, have a power plan for gaming only and a power plan for everything else, meaning your non gaming profile make sure the power limit is not 100% this should turn off the boost
@@Mateo_FPS @Mateo_FPS Ok! Gtk! I game at ultrawide 165hz, so I guess I'm good then 😎. But I do notice a slight difference when multitasking, programming and doing graphic design if I don't have boost enabled. @@Mateo_FPS What I don't understand is, will they increase the frequency?
If you did your uv per core on occt then this setting you should leave to auto, this is more for people who do all core
@@Mateo_FPS LLC lvl 3 will Vdrop the use of voltage when the CPU is on high usage.. so more lvl like lvl 4 will undervolt more but will be more unstable.. Thanks, my 78003xd CPU is finally running quietly and not overheating, but sometimes the system freezes or there's a Windows crash. Do you have any suggestions on what could be changed to make it more stable?
Stress test it on occt, if you get an error than reduce the undervolt by 2 test again and repeat until you can stress test 1 hr without errors, if you want to know how to do per core later on, just hit me back up
Thanks for quick response! Do you use discord? I will try on 28 now.@@Mateo_FPS
Thanks for quick response, I will try on 28, Do you have dc?. yh on occt i did get bs after 10 sec lol@@Mateo_FPS
Try this instead
Set -30 curve per core on cores 0-7
Go to occt
Cpu option
Data set- large, mode-extreme, load type-variable
Thread settings- core cycling
Type-custom
Physical core configuration
P0 make sure it has a check mark and cores p1-p7 make sure it has an arrow
Cycle internal -45 seconds
Threads per core -32
Then click start
This should tell you what core needs less undervolt
@@Mateo_FPSI will do ! thank you very much
Would this apply for a b650e-e with a 7800x3d
Yeah
Hi and thank you for the video. But I seem to be having some issues with my 7800x3D not really boosting over 4.8GHz. In games it's all over thew place jumping from 3800 to 4900Mhz, in Cinabench it's caping around 4790Mhz but running more stable and not jumping around as in games. This is very strange, must be some setting or something because my CPU temp is only 76C and that is well below the 89C that was set in BIOS. Do you have any idea what could be the issue? I have set my power option to High performance in Power settings. I have a 1000W Platinum PSU, so power should not be an issue. I also have the Asus Rog Strix B650E-F mobo.
I think only if you enable PBO from bios or ryzen master it will boost over 4800 MHz
can you remake your guide with new 2214 bios options pls?
I will look into it, but it shouldn't be different from these settings

this work with a Asus ROG Strix X670e-E gaming WiFi ? using a 7800x3D and Corsair6000mhz ddr5
Yes
If you have any issues let me know, these settings are super basic it should work
For some reason doing these settings gives me BSODs even at - 0. Not sure g I'm doing something wrong, but I followed the video exactly.
Just reset bios and try again, if not just do your expo and see what happens
Do you know if asus has fixed all the problems with expo and burning the cpu? I have the same board and cpu as you. Should i use expo I or expo II?
That was fixed a while back, just make sure your bios is up to date, try expo 2 if you have issues then try expo 1 or vise versa, I didn't see any performance difference but for me expo 2 just felt better imo
@@Mateo_FPS also gets false readings in hwinfo64(hopefully) die average temp spikes at 130c while core temps maxes around 67 while gaming. Uninstalled armory crate and will try again.

You can put it on either one, it's the same thing
hello dude , this board can handle a 7900x? and , i can overclock like you on video?
Yeah same thing, this works for the 7000 series cpus, just keep in mind that how much UV you can do is going to vary on cpu
@@Mateo_FPS thanks man, help me a lot . thinking about intel or amd plataform...
i have in mind a Kit z On 14 i7 intel or Amd B_E Kit with 7900 or 7900x...
On same price, what you choose?
@Renansilva-tu2fp you can't go wrong with either amd or intel, if money ain't an issue you can do all intel to get the best but if you are on a budget, get the most out of your money and find deals, I'm all amd and my cpu performs just as good as 10000$ intel pcs, I would go with 7900x, the x versions are always better,
Intel - tunning level moderate/hard
Amd - tunning level easy/moderate
@@Mateo_FPS in my case in brazil the plataform Z+ i7 14 gen is same for AMD 7900 + B650E. Imm afraid about intel because the overheat... i will buy a 360 liquid cooler but im afraid of high temps, and i see the 7900 and 7900x have tdp of 170w so this is less then any i7 modern breaking 250w easy
@Renansilva-tu2fp just make sure to buy a cpu frame (thermal grizzly) and be generous with the thermal paste, and a good 360mm aio pump and you will be good
After doing exactly like you it is impossible to launch valorant because of the tmp 2.0....
Reset bios, and just follow the video up to 3:30
I lose warranty if i play with this? And for the armoury crate. I love and use the app since it controls all my devices. Can it work with this settings?
You will if you tell them lol but these settings don't break your system, only when you start messing with the voltage, and you could use these settings with armoury crate, but keep in mind you will lose performance in the 1% lows on your cpu because of armoury crate
I got you, its just that I'm a bit scared cause it was a lot of money for me getting this build after a year of saving. Anyway my biggest issue is buzz sound when visually demanding games are played and I'm trying to figure how to fix it and what causes it. I suspect AIO pump. I will try your settings to see if it will fix it. That is how i end up here anyway..trying to fix

Should work the same, all you have to do is look for the same names
alright@@Mateo_FPS TY. I only play CS2 and Rust, do you think I should apply these bios settings, for more fps and 1%lows? And what do you think about "System tuning"? - should i leave it normal or PBO enchancement?
@augustgrnkjr7697 these settings will improve cpu performance by how much may vary, but It will be better than stock, I don't mess with any special features they tend not to work well, I tried them and I lose performance
@@Mateo_FPS im quite a boomer. So when i apply theses settings my base speed Ghz will improve right? right now i will get 4.2 GHz (which is the base speed) on 100% utilisation. Isn't that kinda bad?
@augustgrnkjr7697 it's a problem if you have a game open and it stays at 4.2, when you are gaming it should boost up to 4.7-5.1 , if you look at my other videos about full optimization for mw3 those apply to any game

Just built a new system using a 7950x3d and the same motherboard. Scored 1963 on cinebench 2024. Found your vid and did the tweaks. Ran cinebench again and scored 2043. However, after rebooting the system i got stuck in a loop where the system wouldn't boot past the asus splash screen where it would say starting system repair after which it would BSOD with the message system_pte_misuse. I reset the bios to default after which everything returned to normal. Is this a case where you would say i should start lowering the core curve optimizer magnitude by 2 until the system stabilizes?
@@MalleBable how did you set up your curve optimizer? All core or per core?
What ram are you using?
@@Mateo_FPS I did per core. The ram im using is G.Skill 32 GB DDR5-6000 Kit F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR, Trident Z NEO RGB, EXPO.
@MalleBable i would re try the settings on the video up to the 3:25 mark and see if it works, also you are only using 2 ram sticks correct?

i have so many questions to like why sata controller disabled, and why.. im just looking for lower temps for my 7800x3d is lowering core by -30 enough?
as many as cpu is stable in long term load
as someone who knows a bit of these setting Load Line Calibration is a big one. It basicly sets a parameter of how step the voltage can be 3 and 4 are letting your cpu get more voltage. You can set load line calibration to 1 and see if its stable with the same performance
Hello i have on 7800x3d, asus strix b650 and 6000mhz cl36 corsair rgb but it’s impossible to start at 6000mhz (black screen and back in the bios with a safe mode), at 5200mhz it’s OK
You don't have to do safe mode, just reset bios by removing cmos battery or click on the button that resets bios settings, you should be able to run 6000mhz

@SK87bln one of your cores probably has to much undervolt, occt will stress test your cpu and tell you which one is the problem
Can I use your settings on B650e-f 7800x3d rx7900xtx oc ?
Yes, this is to maximize your cpu so that you can get the most out of your gpu, plz read pinned comment before you start, and I would recommend you try resize bar on and off to see which one gives you the better performance in the game you play

@sirdawn4325 this setting here its more to stabilize the uv/oc of your ram if you do (all core) if you UV per core theirs no need for this and you can leave at default
U mean pbo per core? im using per core yh
@sirdawn4325 when I say per core I mean , pbo per core but you stress tested each core to know it's max undervolt value
I have the exact same processor and mainboard and applied these settings. Every now and then while streaming inside my browser my PC crashes and restarts immediately. Should I increase the undervolting to something higher than-30?
Are you familiar with occt? You can lower the undervolt for now to -28 if it crashes again lower to -25, if it crashes again you have to undervolt per core and see which core is the problem
@@Mateo_FPS thanks, will try that 👍🏽
The more negative offset (undervolt) you add, the less stable that core can become.
Hey, I am noticing my boot always goes through the mem training... Yours on the end doesn't, any tips for disabling it?
Mine did I just clipped it, but if you want to boot up faster, make sure fast boot is on and memory context restore is enabled
@@Mateo_FPS thank you!
Any advantage on letting it do the full process?
@RodrigoBraga some people notice issues with stability with memory oc and disabling memory context restore will solve it , but if you have no issues then leave it enabled
Is that work on x670e f board?
@@delljoseph1594 yeah!
disabling memory context restore makes my bios boot time go from 9 seconds to 40 seconds. Why would I disable this?
Some people have issues when they oc their memory, so disabling memory context restore will help with stability, but if you care about boot times then leave it enabled but if you have issues with memory, disabling this will help out as the pc makes sure it's all good before it boots up
Understand what MCR is. Normally, RAM is tested and trained at every reboot if necessary. Enabling MCR disables the memory training. It can increase boot time, but isn't it worth a few extra seconds to get better stability?.
@eracer1111 I have no issues with stability and it's not a few extra seconds. It makes my pc boot 4x slower.
