Ik the feeling! This lady that passed a few years ago named Ms. Daisy. Mannnn she made the BEST red velvet cake I’ve EVERR TASTED IN MY LIFE!!! I still can’t find a recipe close to hers or even had a cake close to hers
I appreciate the content! But it takes the fun and competition out of it when they KNOW it’s their dish! Maybe switch up the rules and make everything as a standard dish, with no extra pizzazz?! Lol
I agree and then sometimes the guest be doing too much
They need to add a 4th person. If it’s only 3, after 2 that’s not yours, it’s obviously the last will be yours.
But what defines as pizzazz? It’s nice when they’re unique they just need more people!
None of these are southern red velvet cakes😭😭
Not a single one! I was thoroughly disappointed!
...but did she really win? That didn't even remotely look like an actual Red Velvet let alone a Southern one from Texas and I'm from there.
When she said *the cake taste musty* I almost died 😂🤣 !!,
As a Southern HEALTHY girl, none of these would I be excited to eat lol. We need a part 2 ft me
Okay, we've seen what happens to the overcritical folk...
whats healthy got to do with it?
Don't nobody wanna eat a healthy red velvet cake im sorry but like
Cake not healthy😂
The fact that ppl are replying like you literally meant healthy is so cringe.
Haha I love how the girl who couldn’t really smell the cakes’ greatest tip was “bake by smell”
Edit: LOL I noticed at 8:45 she’s like: “idk why I can’t smell it”.. girl your mask is over your nose..
They should’ve added a store bought cake too
I just don’t understand how people can take a bite of a cake and instantly hate it!
your channel does this the right way. feeding them their own, too, and seeing them hating is sooo fun.
I mean… I have never felt red velvet had an overwhelming taste or flavor. But there is something about the not really chocolate not really vanilla flavor that carries a good cream cheese frosting. All you have to do is make sure it’s moist and tender
They should've brought out a fourth to try the cakes.
Hi Cocoa Butter 👋🏼! Thanks for the fun vid. Just a heads up: There’s a hiccup with Daija’s icon when they were sampling her cake.
I thought I accidentally rewound the video.
YoungLadyInRed
My whole life I’ve been saying “rewinded”. You mean to tell me rewound is the past tense of rewind? Lmaoo
@@DejaLanae Right? My whole life is a lie
@@DejaLanae 😉
RIGHT
I want to be on a red velvet episode like this for Southern Men. My red velvet is the bomb!
Mae has such a pretty voice and accent, I love how she sounds!!
She gave herself all high scores come now people.
Just so ya'll know red velet cake should never, and never will taste like chocolate cake. Its in the chocolate family due to little bit of chocolate in it.
😐 look up the ingredients
I dont care about that. I put extra cocoa in mine and bloom it in boiling water kinda like a mississippi mud cake
Yes!!!! Thank you!!!! Red velvet cake is NOT CHOCOLATE CAKE. It has cocoa in it but that should not be the primary flavor... at least if yall making it right😒😎
YESS EXACTLY, it should have a tangy buttermilk like flavor with a hint of cocoa, but it should not taste like a chocolate cake chile
It's the part where she says “it's like dust.” & “it tastes musty.”💀😭😂😂
3:42 she said with the mask over her nose 🤣🤣
I miss the blindfolds soooo much! Plz bring them back 😿😿😿 ❤
Ain’t nobody down there from Alabama or Mississippi
right
I’ve never saw a red velvet cake with sprinkles 😬
I use Monique's Divas Can Cook Red Velvet Cake recipe. Never made the cake in my life before, but I took that cake to a work potluck, and people were begging me to bring it back lol.
The secret ingredient is coffee.
I've been baking for 8 months and I've baked her cake the most and EVERYONE loves it. Coffee is definitely the secret ingredient. What kind of coffee do you use?
When you are baking with chocolate any kind of coffee will bring out the flavor
@@fr3shSwag I just use the regular drip coffee I buy from Sam's club. They have a donut shop coffee I really like.
I loveeee herrrr
Coffee and good cocoa powder.
I'm shocked I thought Daija would be the worst on account of the red icing and sprinkles, it made it look like a playdough cake.
That one girl who kept saying she couldn't smell the cakes ummm maybe take the blind fold off your nose lol
I’m weak , sis sniffing the cakes talking about she can’t smell them, but had the blindfold over her nose 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
The second girl said “first time by myself” and that said it all for me
Daija to Mae’s cake: *It is so bad I wanna give you a zero, but that’s not possible so I give you a 1.*
LMAOOOOOOOO
As a MS native, none of the cakes looked right and by all of their reviews they all missed the mark. My Grandmother would call this some mess.
Girl in the red is SOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! Her SKIN is impeccable and she has the most amazing smile. You are gorgeous sis ❤
Girl, I'd be worried if I didn't smell anything. Are you okay?
She had her nose covered the entire time
Lmfaooo “It tastes Musty” 😂😂😂😂😂
They should have included a box cake lmao from the producers
Deja is right there lol
"it tastes musty" 😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😂😂😂
just want to appreciate the casting on these series! love this channel
