My takeaway form this movie was the use of color, but I see that you saw all of it from a different angle. I was thinking conceptually about how red is usually used to show Batman in power or coming to power, where more bluish or yellow lights are used to show Riddler or the mob characters in power in a scene. It really makes me want to rewatch it, especially after rewatching Batman Begins and the Dark Knight and reflecting on how almost all light in those movies is blue, even when fire is present or the dominant light source
I love this! Because they did such an excellent job with the light/contrast levels it allowed them a LOT of creativity in the colors they chose like you mentioned. There's nothing wrong with teal/orange, but it's exciting to break the mold

As an artist I have a love-hate relationship with technology but, when I see others who use it with such creativity (i.e how Frazer operates StageCraft), it reminds me that technology is at its best as a tool/aid to our creative minds and never as a replacement. The beauty of this movie, to me, is that all the technical choices made were to strengthen the visual storytelling. The Batman is truly the result of a collaborative effort and we feel that passion seep through.
This is great stuff. Thanks for sharing. I definitely hear you when it comes to technology. With the immense number of choices we are offered it's tempting to focus on bending the story to feature the tech, not the other way around. I have huge respect for Greig's ability to experiment while serving the story
