@@death3678 to be fair, Boros got what he wanted. There are a lot of parallels between Boros and Saitama, even up to the point where imagery from the very first episode, something that looks like a heart beat quickening, was mirrored. The only difference was that Boros actually felt it, while Saitama eventually woke up from his dream. He let Boros be the main character for as long as he needed, and for as long as the world could handle, even playing the villain part way through, with his mocking that was not abnormal for him typically, but that time was noticeably less in his character, being a lot colder and more dire, which might have been bitterness settling in. By the end of the fight, Saitama swallows some hard facts. This guy came from across the galaxy, ripping apart others, in a fashion similar to Saitama; so it could be that Boros was the only one even close to Saitama's level of power... but not even that was within a realistic range. It wasn't a fair fight, yes, but that's not at all what Saitama wanted out of this. Realistically, Saitama won the fight, but lost the war. He's just too strong, and he might never meet someone that matches his strength, and give him what he gave Boros.

It gives me chills when Boros says " i will defeat you" its like the main protagonist going all out on the final boss but instead of winning the protagonist loses
Keep in mind that the Serious Punch didn’t actually hit Boros, only the air launched towards him did, the air was launched forward by Saitama’s punch with enough power and force to hit Boros so hard that it overtaxed his extremely powerful healing factor, and that was AFTER it broke through and deflected a planet-level attack.
@@Pokeyrunner I also had a feeling that Boros had used up a lot of energy beforehand throughout the fight. That CSRC wasn’t even near the peak of its power.
Actually I disagree. I think saitama calculated the power of His attack so that it directly countered boros energy attack. I don't think saitama's punch did anything to him. After all, even saitama's regular attacks as regular punches we're able to obliterate his body tiny pieces. Yet his ultimate killer punch didnt? I believe Sy, calculated that punched only stop the planet destroying attack and nothing else. It was boros's attack that burned away his body he used all of his energy and all of his life force try to take down saitama.
@@sapherno11Actually, after Saitama throws the punch, if you look at Boros in the middle of the rings of clouds, he is very clearly hit by something, it’s true that using the attack likely used up all of his energy, but I personally find it unlikely that he would use it knowing he’d die afterwards.
@@shivan2664 when in the series has saitama's attack ever left an enemy looking burned up as if they were burned alive? And on top of that we actually see boros get blown apart by consecutive normal punches do you really think his ultimate attack would not do more damage? It's far more likely that when Boris used his ultimate attack it used up all of his latent energy including the one used for regeneration. With regeneration gone his body could not withstand his own attack giving it that burned up appearance. It's also entirely possible that when Boris use that attack he also use his life force, which would have resulted in his death no matter what.
Boros is actually an allusion to one of ONE's previous works that were never officially released, Taiyo Man (Sun Man). In the story, the final boss was too strong for the plot to progress, and it took 20 years in real time before ONE came up with an opponent strong enough to fight him
That'd be a prequel well worth watching, I can only imagine all the battles Boros had has over the years hell he probably had a resume that was like Sugar Ray Robinson,Willie Peps/Roberto Durans/ and Floyd Maywetaher jrs record combined....seriously Boros fight record going into his Saitama fight was probably something insane either like 975-0 or 970-03 assuming he lost a few growing up while still improving/leveling up when he was younger/maturing ya know, total freak man.
I think it’s awesome how saitama could’ve ended the fight at any time but let Boros fight him because of the fact that Boros is kinda like Saitama powerful and no one can beat him. It’s almost like Saitama saw the struggle they are both going through
The final Sin Actually, he wasn’t the one who would face him, he was just in the right spot. Boros saw their fight as slightly unfair how his opponent held back, but still... in the end... he got the fight he wanted.
This honestly helps paint the difference between Boros and later on Orochi. At the end, Saitama respected Boros and knew it wouldve been better to try and convince him that what he did was his full power, because Boros was using his full power. Boros of course knew he wasnt even doing his full strength but still respected the man for trying to give that peace of mind to him. Orochi however got no respect from Saitama. When Orochi gets hit by one of Saitama's attack, Saitama just says that was a normal punch, much to the mirror of Boros who had Saitama's respect.
The only reason he didn't kill Boris instantly is because Saitama was nice enough to give him the fight he had longed for. That's true honour Edit: Stamina is way better than Boris I can confirm.
In the manga saitama stated that he only uses serious punch against enemies that can’t be defeated otherwise . He didn’t expect him to regenerate lol however if he would have hit him with a serious punch right off the bat he definitely would have finished him
"You are the only one who survived this long" Little did boros know, he was the only one who lived the longest as one of saitamas opponents Edit: after a year of this comment being up, i finally decided to read the manga

His pain was not of the body, it was of his very essence, his very being. To know in defeat that you never even stood a chance, there is no greater pain. Boros felt the kind of pain that cuts deeper than any attack, he felt the pain of knowing he was nothing from the start. Everything he understood about himself was undone in seconds. The writers clearly knew how to make a villain that lived in pure anguish and died in even more anguish. He never imagined death would be far worse a fate than that which he was living. Exceptional writing.
@@yourparalysisdemon1936He hated that he didn't lose to an equal opponent who gave their all in a glorious, hard-fought battle. He felt reduced to a small summer ant in what felt like an instant. There was little honor in his defeat.
What makes saitamas pain even worse is that boros had been wandering the universe for 20 years looking for someone to challenge him, and he found no one but saitama. It in this moment that saitama realizes that there might be no one anywhere that can push him.

The only reason he survived past the first hit is because Saitama WANTED him to. He could've obliterated Boros from the start but felt like being nice.
It's interesting to think that despite the vast power difference between these two Boros is still CRAZY POWERFUL compared to all of the other characters in this series. He would wreck the vast majority of the people we have met so far with relative ease.
I love Boros' "wtf" face at 9:13. You can feel the disbelief. Also, when Saitama said "Prophecy? What do you mean?" I fully expected Boros to start explaining what a prophecy is.
Boros was such a cool character IMO. Even though we only got like 12 minutes of him, I wish we got to see more. Also I am wondering if the prophecy was meant for someone like Blast instead. As he says "So much for prophecies, you were just too strong". Essentially Saitama was never really a match for Boros. But maybe someone of like of Blast or even Garou would have given him a more satisfying fight. Who knows I guess 🤷♂
Blast would be an interesting fight. Like he is crazy fast and his portal magic should be able to deflect almost all of Boros attacks. It's unknown how much damage Boros can take himself since the punches from Saitama aren't very reliable. But Blasts gravity knuckles can put out some steam if needed. Maybe he beats Boros after all. And it's likely Blasts would actually show up when Boros makes too much damage. However as we all know Saitama puts Boros down shortly after the initial attack and Blast never takes notice. Garou at the time of Boros arrival was way to weak. Wouldn't survive Boros first form i guess. There is even a theory that the prophecy way send by god to lure Boros into a fight with Blast. However it's just a fantheory.
@@toneprime3622 It is because he didn't want to kill him. But at the same time, he had to protect the earth. Boros essentially severely damaged himself by using up all his energy so he could not heal himself. Saitama punched his energy back at him, which hurt and almost killed him.
Interesting is Boros knowed about Saitamas unlimited power and chosed to fight him anyways. Even after realizing he is not able to best him by pure power he was ready to give it all. Meteoric burst takes its toll on his life, he even was ready to release all his power in one blow. Even if he hitted Saitama once more with his final attack into space and destroyed the planet he would be out of energy, unable to heal, without his ship or crew left. He was ready to die just for this Moment. This is still unmatched in this series while all other bad guys never saw Saitama for what he really is.
The end of the fight is so sad. Saitama already knew that Boros was no match for him, but was nice enough to give him the exhilaration of a true fight that he longed for. When Boros tells Saitama he's "just too strong" he knows it's true deep down inside. Which is why Saitama has no response and walks away. Saitama was able to save Boros from his emptiness that he felt inside. But who will ever save Saitama from his emptiness? He is once again left with that same feeling wondering if he'll ever find a true opponent that will rekindle his passion to be a hero.😞
Then maybe what he needs is to reevaluate what that passion should be. Is it simply the thrill of a good fight, or maybe is it being able to help others however he can?
@@JDog2656well from what we know Saitama emptiness comes from him being an average human but after his training he wasn't able to live like a human and neither got that super fight he wanted which made almost everything meaningless to him and he is not a monster only because he doesn't want to be one and there are few things like genos which somewhat still connect him to his humanity
He also says "you are a strong one, for real", still telling him that even though he didn't stand a chance, he is a great warrior as to still acknowledge him and presumably so he won't die feeling useless, but Boros saw through it.
@@hehehe88 YEAH BROTHER, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT 👍.

That’s called adrenaline
Keep in mind that the Serious Punch didn’t actually hit Boros, only the air launched towards him did, the air was launched forward by Saitama’s punch with enough power and force to hit Boros so hard that it overtaxed his extremely powerful healing factor, and that was AFTER it broke through and deflected a planet-level attack.
That was because Boros ran out of energy after his "Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon." Which left him unable to regenerate.
Ironically, I feel like Boros was the one character that respected Saitama the most.
Imagine if they done a small series of boros and it ends with him arriving at earth

I like collapsing star roaring cannon so much
Boros is actually an allusion to one of ONE's previous works that were never officially released, Taiyo Man (Sun Man). In the story, the final boss was too strong for the plot to progress, and it took 20 years in real time before ONE came up with an opponent strong enough to fight him
This is a great concept bro

Saitama used serious punch on him not orochi. But the serious punch was only needed to save earth not beat him

"It's a mystical prediction of the future, but that's not important right now."
Who knows I guess
🤷♂

@@iamabird4413 no. God level threats are categorised as threats that threaten the extinction of mankind. Being capable of destroying a planet at all definitely qualifies.
@@iamabird4413 idk where you got your information from thats never been stated anywhere
@@Popcornkernal29 google
@@iamabird4413 im talking aboit the 0.1% power thing. How much strength he uses had never been stated
Boros: survives Saitamas punch.
Saitama: I’m gonna pretend I didn’t see that
“You were just too strong” it should be triumphant but it’s honestly so sad. For both of them.
Blah blah blah you're boring me out of my mind ....... your tough....cool.
🐻✌💕🤣
It's clear that lord boros was satisfied, even though he was defeated
11:00 really puts into perspective saitamas power, boros' attack would've glassed the entire planet and saitama's punch completely outclassed it
To add to that, saitama's punch didnt even land merely the wind from said punch
He’s definitely above planet level
So Saitama could just punch the earth and destroy it then?
@@CurtisJensenGames easily
Krillin solos
Gotta love how boros is just exploding with power and breaking shit with his every move and saitama is just vibing
we aint gonna talk about how this man had so much confidence that when saitama punched him he just refused to die? 10:02
Apparently not cuz no replies lol
Lmfbo Saitoma walking backwards at supersonic speeds. That was hella cool but hella funny too lol
12:05 that walk+music+emotion voice acting+sound effects= legends made this!
Gotta really appreciate how powerful Boros really is, 7:35 is just amazing, going so fast it tears the starship apart.
Not only tear it apart, but also melt it completely
He kills some of his own people also😂😂
Tbh might be tougher than garou
When Boros starts charging his final move, you can hear the desperation in his voice, like he really wants to win against this man who tanks everything he has to offer. Just wow
Crazy part is the prophecy was probably talking about Blast (if it wasnt just a scam lol).
Or garou.
I genuinely felt bad for Boros.
10:27 this scene with the heartbeat sound effect is sooooo perfect. Gives me chills every time !
That whole seasons arc is just so perfect, thats the same heartbeat saitama has when hes fighting the underground king in his dream in the first episode. So boros finds what he's been looking for but for saitama it remains a dream
Until now, Boros was the only one to acknowledge Saitama's strength with just looking at him. That shows difference between him and rest of the trash 🗑️😂😂.
The only one using his scouter
Carnage was able to sense his power before attacking
Except due to Saitama attitude and explanation he ignore his instincts immediately
(Your just.... too strong....) some struggle not being good enough to clime the tower of success, others.... are lonely at the top, wishing they knew how to get down, without jumping.
And some... some wish for someone to climb their tower and pull them down. Have a reason to sit on that throne once more.
Shit
Only eng dub that i appreciate soo much
climb*
weird content bruh moment Did I misspell something? I thought I spelled it correctly?
9:24 Even though he doesn’t have eyebrows or a visible mouth.. You already know that boros’ eyebrows are raised and his jaws on the floor thinking WTF. This is the series that completely changed the way I saw anime and now I’m just waiting for season 3
It’s scary to think that the prophecy was most likely talking about Garou. Prophecy didn’t take Saitama into account because he was searching for his match, not his superior.
Also probably didn’t take god into account. Cause monster garou and boros would be a fairly even fight.
Boros would get shitstomped by cosmic garou
Or Blast.
@@scottvgamer1163 yeah I was also thinking that
Boros was meant to fight blast that why it state 20 years ago when blast was doing hero work and peaking in his power
Garous wasn't ever born back then.
I've just realised that every punch that Saitama throws has background damage too....he is too strong!
his punch have its own theme fyi
When captain America throws his mighty shieeeeeeld
For Boros, this was the fight of his life. And for Saitama, it was tuesday
I like how Boros was the one character that didn’t immediately underestimate Saitama
