Don’t get me wrong, I love King, great character with a cool gimmick, but I also think it would make for a really cool character if it was King but actually strong. Like someone who actually just gets super pumped up, and has the ability to get infinitely stronger the faster and louder his heart beats as he gets ready for battle. Basically Metal Bat on steroids, and minus the bat.
His bad luck is being seen as the strongest man then when his King Engine starts up it changes his luck into good luck summoning Saitama the true strongest being to save his ass

I always thought boros was basically the representation of dbz in the show since the auther makes alot of references to other anime. He looks like goku and has transformations similar to super saiyan and his super attack is like the kamehameha and he also has cell’s or piccolo’s regeneration. And hes constantly looking for worlds to conquer and wants to fight strong opponents just like saiyans.
but like King would always win because despite saitama's exponential infinite potential, King has plot armor and Luck if he truly knows his powers then there is no limits to what he could do or wanted to do.

Therefore, if anything will happen to make sure that people believe he's the strongest man, then whenever he faces a monster it needs to be defeated for people to think that he defeated it (and continue to think that he's the strongest man). So it gets defeated! Always by pure luck, the situation, or just another person interfering at just the right time. Not sure if that makes sense.
