Neji even has dojutsu and could easliy track Lee with it. Lee's rotation also reverses the force of your attack back at you which would be suicide if Lee even crashed into it. It's ALOT closer than people think and even Gaara was threatened when he saw Neji fight.
@@Coffee2024. naruto only had shadow clones and summoning, Sasuke had fireball and chidori. The reason why sasuke was winning was because his sharingan copied lees attributes and lightning counters earth style (sand). They nerfed lee so bad, he had 5 gates in the chunin exams but only 6 in the 4th great ninja war.
Guy sensei probably told him not to use it as he should live out his youth more
Atleast thats my canon and it feels appropriate for guy to give his life up for his student before he allows lee to take more punishment from unlocking gates
Never fails to draw a few of my tears. Not even from sadness, but from inspiration and beauty.
Thats the pure definition of hard work beats talents every time. This dude is always remember me in my life
but…talent won in the end…

Just makes me realize how much potential was wasted with Lee. He had drunken fist going for him as well
Power creep kills development, sad to say.
This will forever be the greatest underdog fight in anime history
Unfortunately it's in a show that went the chosen one route, instead of"work hard for your dreams".
Guy is an amazing professor, really. People focus too much learning skills they have too much trouble developing, instead of apprimirating what they ARE good already. Guy did the opposite of any sensei would do, and guided Lee into being a Taijutsu specialist. Holly damn.
I felt for gaara when he looked at lee master hugging lee after he loose his conscious because gaara has no one to care for him, they both injured yet no one came for him. 😢
Back to those days when we thought Gaara was the strongest.

This was basically the main final exam. Aint no way sasuke and naruto stood a chance against the hidden lotus 5th gates. This was the deciding round for chunin exams

@@simon801 wrong. Sasuke was as fast as base speed Lee. And he doesn’t have sand armor to help him against Lee’s 4th gate barrage

As a kid in middle school seen this when it 1st aired nd I’m 32 now this literally is one of the greatest if not the greatest anime fight it still gives me chills anytime I watch it
This fight and the moment when Lee stood up unconscious, to me it’s up there with Goku turning ssj1. Very iconic moment that doesn’t get enough credit
This is the fight that convinced me to watch this show

To me, that was the peak of Naruto. The fighting, the characters and general direction, it was perfect.
Boruto will never reach these heights. Truly amazing 🤧

Seeing the sheer determination of this kid almost brings a tear to your eye.
The only thing i hated about this show is the fact that Lee didn't have more screen time. One of the rawest characters in the show and had so much more potential for insane strength and fights in shippuden. Naruto has Kurama which is why he's so strong. Lee being strong with literally everything holding him back would create some of the most legendary moments in all of anime
Gaara: no way you can win.
Rock lee: and I took that personally
And gaara win
Damn I remember being hyped about these fights like it was a pay per view when I was a kid
Whenever I saw this match, I always cried 😭
Yeh it's quite emotional
Gaara's 'We haven't had enough blood' sounds like the equivalent of Madara's 'Can you still dance.' Even the fight is such a parallel to Madara vs Might Gai
By far this is easily the greatest fight in all of the Naruto universe and quite possibly in all of anime history.
Don't over dramatize it.

Lmao true the fact he thought that sauske, neji, and naruto were worthy opponents, when at this time he would've demolished all of them
you guys do realize Naruto was as strong as Sasuke during the chunin invasion arc scaling from the Gaara fight and Neji gave Naruto extreme diff and would've won had he not dropped his guard and celebrated prematurely.
Plus, lee can move way too fast for neji to react and he can do it for a lot longer than neji can do rotation. Rotation also takes a lot of chakra. I doubt lee ever fought neji without his weights.
That’s the irony of this matchup. Lee could have won against literally anyone except for Gaara. For Gaara, there was nobody else who could have touched him except Lee.
