Hi Matt. Thanks for the highway review. I have a couple of thoughts for you. First, I changed my front sprocket to a 15 tooth and it's a game changer for highway speeds. Drops the revs by 500+ rpm and makes the bike feel a lot less frenetic (a Dart flyscreen also helps). The gearing change still works well for me on hardback dirt and gravel roads. There's just a bit less oomph in first gear. Also, when I was at the Barber Vintage Festival, I saw a guy with a 400X with Mosko Moto reckless bags. He used the knoblock mount on the stock Triumph luggage rack and it was a really cool setup. It gave him a single primary mounting point for the luggage and then the forward tie downs go to the passenger pegs and that was it. A very clean setup with only three buckles to undo to remove the luggage. ! Hope your Mom is doing better!
Good stuff. Prayers for your mother for sure. Of course you picked up a nail in the tire while going to visit your mom, I hate when life does it that way. Have you ridden that bike down Highway 6 to the windmills? I about got blown off the road on my little GS on that stretch. Take care man.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it! No, I haven't ridden down the 6 yet, but the ride home was full on south wind in my face. It slowed me down and drank a lot more fuel! 😂
Looks like a good ride Matt. I'm not sure how reckless will work on the scrambled... I'd consider racks and soft luggage like Tusk or Nelaon Rigg 👍🏻 Just said a prayer for your Mom -- hope she's getting better 🙏
Matt, on a previous episode, you mentioned that you had to pay the dealer to clear the electronic display at service. Are you going to have to do that every service? And what are the service intervals?
Yeah, I did. The first is 600 miles, then again at 1,000. Then they recommend every 10,000 miles or annually if you don't hit 10k in a year. The light didn't come back on for the 1k service.
I hope your mom is doing better now. How can I contact you concerning a video I am planning (TW200 related)? I want to have some clips from my favorite TW200 UA-camrs in the video. Thank you Matt.
hahaha that is "city driving" for me also. I cannot imagine living in a "metropolis! I drive to work in a big city ( Denver) and will not ride my bike there. I feel my life is in danger in a car!
Hope your ma is ok. One thing i notice between reviews from India and the US, you never gave what kind of gas consumption you got on that run. Those who pay 3x the cost for fuel wold be interested.
Excellent point! I am gonna do another freeway video and I'll add that. The headwind I had coming home dropped me to 45 mpg, so I totally agree and I apologize for leaving that out.
prayers for mom, good vid.

Hope your mom is okay. Picked up a 2025 TW200.
Thanks Dave! Congrats on the new bike!

Thanks JT, I really appreciate it!
I'll look into getting some side panels for the bike.

@@MOBStreet83 Thanks, good to know.
I have the Speed 400 went with Aviator Saddle Stays and soft luggage from Trip Machine.
Viking bags has a similar set up as the Mosko Reckless bags but not as expensive
I like to just strap a dry bag to the frame on top of the pillion seat
