Fiddler crabs are low maintenance and are usually kept in small to medium-sized aquariums. They are fun pets to watch and can live for up to ten years.
Fiddler crabs are great but just like the red claw Southeast Asian crabs, they need some brackish water. Actually even land crabs need some sea salt in their water. I think the vampire crabs are 100% freshwater but I'm not spending that much money on a tiny crustacean that can mysteriously drop dead on me at any time. The same thing with the Exotic fancy colored pricey freshwater shrimp. These greedy breeders can shove them up their ass.
These freshwater crabs are interesting for many people to add in their aquarium. The Vampire Crab looks very awesome with so many different colors on its body. The crab can also survive with any type of foods available, which is great! Thank you so much for doing this video.
Discovering the world of freshwater crabs is intriguing! This video offers insights into keeping these unique creatures as pets. Educational and engaging!
My grandfather had a lot of freshwater crabs because they were very easy to keep, and their food was quite easy, not only small fish, he also liked mushrooms.
Wow I learnt some new things from this video.Thank you for this valuable video.I really excited to see a video like this.I hope your next video will upload soon.Excellent..
My favorite freshwater crab is Rainbow Crab. Because, Rainbow crabs are known for their vibrant colors and large size. Their need for brackish water and fascinating burrowing behavior might attract those who are looking for a visually stunning and active crab species.
Because they were simple to maintain and fed easily-in addition to little fish-my father raised a lot of freshwater crabs. He also like mushrooms. thank you so much for sharing
Interesting video. I learned a lot information about freshwater crabs frim this. Vampire crabs are unique from others due to their surprising features.

I loved this video! The information given is incredible both in editing and collection, you do a good job, you deserve to go further, you have my support!
Personally I would suggest getting Pom Pom crabs I’ve owned other crabs in the past but the Pom Pom crabs are easy and interesting to have they are very active in my tank and are always looking for food. They are peaceful crabs that get along with tank mates and have had no issues with escapes
Studying in for a potential rainbow crab, my biggest issue so far being the lack of concrete and well-researched information. Any more sources that might help me with this? Just looking for a single rainbow crab, preferably a 80% land 20% water set up - fresh, if possible
Personally - I've only kept them with each other. For fish lots of options. You can check out a blog post I have all about them here - aquariumstoredepot.com/blogs/news/vampire-crab
the vampire crab ini unik memiliki warna coklat kemerah merahan lebih sering terlihat seperti itu, hewan ini dari sesarmide dan sering ada di indonesia terutama pulau jawa serta memiliki ukuran 1.5 inches.
@@Toxin_E-07 I have a very large house. They’re pretty small compared to my monitor lizards, tegu, iguana, reticulated python, Burmese python and African rock pythons
@@SnakeLizardexoticskeeper Very nice. It would be fun to be able to house that many larger animals. How many coconut crabs do you have and what is their space like?

Heads up, the Matano Crab is not Geosesarma Notophorum. G. Notophorum is actually the Mandarin crab, which is a great freshwater species like the Vampires. Geosesarma consists of only small crabs similar to the Vampires and Devils, but Matanos’ have a noticeably different body plan than the Geosesarma genus.
Imagine the roles being reversed as humans being Betas in the food chain and crabs being the Alphas. Where the crabs make youtube video’s about humans to buy as pets. “And this is the dutch human, very smart but don’t like to pay”, “and this is the african human, always happy and can dance very good but they’re always thirsty”
to me, metasesarma aubryi (Red Apple Crab) are the best to me. they’re like the red and demonic version of vampires! sad thing is my ones are different from the other crabs, they uproot any plant i try to put in or before i got them. same thing when it comes to species, they will kill the vampire crabs because of territorial reasons. (i think.) they only need 1 male 2 females for a 5 gallon, i prefer to keep two since i may have to increase feeding. they’re just little devils when it comes to cleaning their tank (i got pinched under my fingernail while trying to take them out, its natural for this bc they think im a predator.)
also considering their diet is 90% vegetables or fruits, i do feed them boiled shrimp on occasions like events (christmas, new year’s day,Halloween, national day, deepavali, cny (chinese new year) which is not very often as they prefer the tail than the body 😄
@@ionutiancu9612 why? You must be one of those greedy breeders for a middleman in the exotic pet trade. These are tiny Crustaceans that can drop dead at any time just like invertebrates.
