- This is a 2020 Ford Transit 250 156" WB Box Truck under 10,000# GVW that we modified for a customer in October 2022. This used to be a small box truck with a heavy box and now it's much bigger and much lighter!

Euro trucks in Amerika... Genius. Maybe take out the passenger seat for a Dometic fridge and add a couple light weight small cargo boxes under the main box. A/C and heat in the sleeper with a way to power with out the motor on all the time. Then you got a serious little sleeper ready for some days on the road...
We offer a lot of different extra options as well as Tool Boxes, Parking Heaters and Air Conditioners. A lot of people would just skip on them either because of the price or because of the goal to keep the truck as light as possible, because each option adds extra weight, so there are lot of people who order just basic sets.
as far as removing the passenger seat and installing fridges and microwaves - that is what our customers usually do themselves
@@synergyupfitquestion about weight. Transit chassis is roughly 6000lbs. Can you get just sleeper and box (2 pallets wide) and have enough weight left for a load while keeping the whole of the weight under10k? Of course this would depend on what you are hauling.
empty transit chassis 178 WB are usually around 4700-4900#.
The legal payload is dependent on the set up of the truck, the weight of the driver, the weight of additional equipment used for work and the weight of all belongings driver brings with him/her, so that number varies a lot and could be between 3000 & 4000#
With just those air bags you get dock high?? I have to put 3inch spacers on mine to get dock high..
Air Ride suspension system has nothing to do with reaching dock high level. Ford makes very low chassis on Transits, so Dock Height is not reachable by installing a box with a regular size frame. Air ride only helps to maintain the original level of the truck's frame which goes by down because of the weight of the box and the freight you load into it. Even with completely filled up air bags this vehicle is about 7-8 inches below the dock level. If you want to learn more please contact us by phone or email

I'll ask again since you removed my question...to make it dock high do need to back up on car ramps????
I drove a curtain side similar to this one for a company there in Minnesota and when I made my delivery the first thing the guy said...well that's not a dock high truck and he was highly upset and very disappointed as I am sure he was charged at a dock high truck rate.

No, it's not. Ford transit can not be a true dock high truck naturally. it's possible only either by using ramps or landing gear
