This was a very confusing video and because you wouldn't tell us what happened nor at least how you dealt with it, you really didn't help anyone else if they find themselves caught up in a similar situation. Especially the lady and her son next to you, was know explanation if they left the site to, or did you leave them there alone. You say you were being attacked in the title but refused to say exactly what happened it's not like we require every juicy detail but seriously a little bit of information would have helped. If you are not prepared to explain things that happen then don't leave titles like that, it's very frustrating and kinda clickbait feeling. I hope you don't have anymore problems on your travels, Scotland is a gorgeous place. God bless and stay safe.

We’ve been camper vanning for 5 years. We quickly realised its not always safe to stop over in beauty spots. We had an incident where we were woken up in middle of night by people in cars shouting, and I was scared. We decided to look for small basic, scenic campsites to stop over, and have found absolute gems, and had the best time ever. We did Scotland for two weeks, we didn’t wild camp once, and felt safe on fab campsites. We only stopped in beauty spots in daylight. Be careful, there are dangerous people around. Not everyone likes camper vanners, as not all camper vanners are respectful of the local community.
Thank you for your comment we just like the freedom of wildcamping as you dont have check in and check out times but we do like campsites and have been to many. We only wildcamp in Scotland. We have never had anything like this in all the years we been wildcamping. But has made us more aware.
After many years sleeping in lay bys, truck stops etc. when working as a lorry driver I've had a good few incidents like yours. Thieves after diesel, the goods on the trailer or even the vehicle itself. You're a brave man Tom, I know you must have some skills but please, if at all possible don't get out and confront these people. If you can drive away then do that, I'd hate you to be seriously hurt or worse. Stay safe and I'm glad you are both keen to continue your journey.
Hi. Thank you for your comment! 🙌 I do understand what you are saying. The alternative was get in seat and drive off. If I have hurt someone doing that who would be in trouble. I would never let someone do what they did and give in to them. It's not me and I would do anything to protect my family.
Tom, thanks for sharing I stayed there only a few weeks back and it was without incident. We also considered staying an extra night because it's a great spot. So glad you have decided to keep going and in any case you had the mighty Thor 🐾🐾🐾 to protect Dubventures. After our NE250 we decided to install deadlocks as a extra layer of security when we are out and about. Bye for now lol.............. PS give us a shout out in your video Alfie & Victoria 💕🏴🚐💕
Exactly never get out and just ignore people at night when it's dark don't even answer a knock. I'm on the road everyday and there are dangerous people out there
I am sorry that some jerks tried to ruin your vacation but I applaud you for including the story of what happened to you. I think too many UA-camrs only share the positive things and while what happened to you shouldn’t deter you or anyone else from enjoying vanlife, it’s a great eye opener to remind people that it doesn’t always go right and to stay safe.
Thank you for your comment i agree it was worth sharing to people. But shouldnt put people off. Although this happened and wasbt a nice experience. We have met some amazing people stayed in amazing locations and found amazing things and we love it. So wont put us off but just made us more away.
I'm from the village and the folk have a different story. A couple teenagers ran out to the van, shook it and shouted wake up thinking it was funny, didn't interact with the guy at all and ran away giggling
A tip a lone female vandweller gave once was to always back into the parking spot so she had a quick get away if she was attacked. Another tip, label your deisel sewerage and no one will steal it
I always back in to spots, for a quick getaway. But i often think ...if someone wants to attack, they could just park infront of me, and block me in. Then i think i should find a spot that's open infront and behind me. But then, the attackers could come in 2 cars, and block me from both ends.
Very similiar thing happened to my family and I at a beach resort in California many years ago. I was only about 12 years old, but I can still remember being woken up by loud banging on the sides of my mom and dad's 5th wheel camper. Luckily my dad had his firearm with him and ultimately scared the group of guys away. But you know, here in the states you don't know whether you're walking out into an open gun fight or not. I just remember feeling so scared for my pops. Crazy night
Big Ups to Your Pops for Handling that, I know someone will be argumentative about my comment, But I'm a firm Believer that a Real Man, A Real Dad will protect his Family at all costs!! I'm glad he's ok #Respect #fatherof4
Thanks! Thank You for being truthful about the thugs that tried to ruin your vacation, your training kicked in perfectly. I probably would have over reacted, which would have only made things worse. For me, I would have looked back at my reaction after the fact, and realized that I played right into their game. This was my first video of yours that I watched and it was very touching to see how you handled the situation. Bravo and well done. I've subscribed, and hit the bell.
I live here in America. WHen my wife & I boondock, we have a couple of "must-brings:" --our pit bull. He is a real gentle, goofball. But he's also trained to attack on command--and can actually sense danger and is ready to go when sensing it. --we have a 9mm Sig Sauer...and a Mossberg 500 tactical shotgun.
Being attacked is real life and van and auto dwellers have to be aware. The ideal situation is NOT open the door and exit, but instead get in the driver's seat and leave. Especially since most travellers these days are single/sole women. I'm glad you both are safe. I agree that this should not deter people from travelling, but to be more aware and be safe. Thank you for sharing.
Best way is too throw the door open like a gorrila and step out completely naked apart from a pair off Nike Air max trainers and fully sharpened claymore in hand then step out and then let out an almighty roar as loud as humanly possible a almost half roar half scream....I find that works... and if its just an old couple out there you can always apologise....
Lol, .most travelers are not solo women. Those women are just the type that have to be seen and heard so they are all over social media. The majority of people living this way do it to actually get away, not just talk about getting away as they film the whole damn thing to share with the world
I always have these thoughts in the back of my mind about being threatened while staying in isolated spots. Sad to have to worry about these things. Glad you’re both ok. Also glad it hasn’t put you off.
I agree sad to have to worry about these things and thats why we decided to tell people what really happened to make people more away that these things do happen
I just found your channel. First and foremost, although this video is over a year old, I am glad you all were safe! Now, THANK YOU both for opting to share this. There are so many solo women AND men out there. The glamorous / fun side of this life is plastered all over the internet while very few videos are out there discussing this. I look at this video as a reminder that those (me included) who are thinking of experiencing this lifestyle (OR already in it) need to be just as vigilant (if not MORE) about security as deciding on a layout. Like you mentioned, this is the 1st time in 5 years to have something like this to happen. Thank goodness you all were prepared. a MUST! Again, Thank you for sharing!
Imagine what would possibly happen if YOU weren’t there to scare them off and they went for the older lady with her grandson! I think in this case you were exactly in the right spot at the right time.
Thought the same thing. I have worked with crises management people many times, and many times I have seen, what I can only call, miracles. It's a communication skill we are taught to ignore, but some can't. Tom is no doubt one of those people. Ty both for sharing.
@M M Yupp, just stay out of Commie-Fornia or any other democrat ran state and legally carry a gun and your good to go here the U.S. Shoot someone in self defense and kill them in a democrat ran state and chances are your going to see some prison time because that's the price of socialism. 👌
Makes me hold compassion for our homeless people, who don't even have a van/shelter to offer some protection 😢.. just subscribed, loving your journey 🎉❤
Just became homeless because I had a dog, also a full time job. I have a rooftop tent. Get harassed all the time by council. One night down south island was freedom camping and woke up to cops who came down to search for some people who ran away. Will have to throw in full time job due to mental health severely lowered due to homeless situation and leave region maybe.
I've know two different families that went over to the UK to travel and see the country. Both couples cut their trips short because of dealing with out of control people, rude people and a general lack of respect for others. It's not nearly as hospitable as people want to pretend. Thank you for your honesty, most people act like it's all wonderful, when the truth is there is quite a bit of seediness going on with the police seeming to have little control over it.
Thank you for your comment. Im sorry to hear that people cut there trip short. We have been travelling for 5 yeara and never had anythimg happen to us like this before. We want to make people aware that things like this do happen no matter where you are. We are very postive people and we have not let this change doing what we love and we continued our trip and are glad we did as we then meet some amazing people and seen amazing places. One life live it. 🙂
Years ago, me and my brother car camped. We had a visit in the night from three people. We rightly assumed they'd be back later (we did nothing first time, neither did they). We set up a tarp out off sight & waiting with weapons. The visitor's car sped past to check we we're there and we waited for them to return. Under a hour later, car pulled up, a bit further off than previous, then three guys got out and quietly headed to our car. They were armed with items to supposedly smash windows? Their muffled giggling stopped abruptly when me and my bro' came striding out of the woods in dark in ski masks, all in black with superior weaponry proclaiming we've been waiting for you boys - they fled in sheer panic - it was great to see the tables turned. We drove off laughing and found another spot miles away.
Thank you for being honest and open about what happened! There is always someone who wants to spoil things. In a way it was good you were there. Think about the poor lady and her grandson. I don’t think there maybe wouldn’t have been able to chase those idiots off like you did. Well done for doing that! Stay safe
why are you being so secretive and vague about what happened? Why the deliberations regarding whether to mention it? why not just give the full details?
We have a German Shepherd who doesn’t suffer fools gladly. Yes he drops A LOT of hair and I’m constantly cleaning up after him but we love him to bits and he loves us too. Heaven help anyone who tries to attack us through the night. He is our wonderful companion and protector.
know exactly how you feel--especially the hair--lol. But the same as my German Shepherd is Very protective and I would pity the person who ever tried anything!
Me too my Nellie girl is 10 yrs old looses lot of hair but love her to bits she's a beautiful caring loving protective German Sheppard cross Roti best dog in the world ❤
I'm a lone camper and my best camping accessory? 9 years old - you'd have to get past him and I wish you luck with that. Yes, he's a German Shedder but worth every hair I pick up.
Just had this vid pop up in my recommended vids. Sorry to hear about the attack, I think being open and honest with your subscribers is the best thing as other VanLifers need to know of potential dangers in areas we will travel to or avoid certain park ups etc. I’m buying a van next year to do solo (plus Jack Russell) travels in UK and hopefully Italy and incidents like your attack makes me more aware. It’s good to be reminded of dangers as I defo get chilled and drop my guard too often. I sold my Type 2 (Gertie) in 1996 and I’m researching what to buy next so I’m subscribing for more tips. If you don’t mind ‘reliving/rehashing’ the attack, more info on how you resolved would be helpful. Glad to see it didn’t spoil your holiday. Safe travels 🐝
@@dubventures I miss the price I sold her at and the price she would be now!! Haha!! There’s SO many vans/conversions/options/gadgets these days! Great but it’s a headache navigating it all! "Professionally trained in conflict management" and "grabbed something from the van" leaves a whole lot of room in there for an interesting "rest of the story" when you get back home with close friends and family. Glad it turned out well for you. 👍🏻👍🏻 Stay safe.
Listen dude the right thing to do would be to tell us all or at least most of the details so we can learn from all the new Nuances of what happened so we can be prepared. By giving no details it’s actually a disservice. I’d say if your gunna camp. Bring a pistol, bring weapons, bear spray, maybe hidden ring camera out side, phones charged ready to call cops, and escape route directly from camper to driver set so you can drive off.
Its sad that we have to be worried about attacks etc but they do happen so glad you were honest about it. I had a similar experience years ago while in a tent...... Must admit I would NEVER get out of the van as you just never know what could happen. People can be on drugs and drink and not respond rationally, or could have a knife etc. Better to just drive off in my opinion and inform the police as well.
I am so sorry that happened to you guys! I am happy you all are ok!!! Please please please be careful. Don't go outside again, they could have hurt you or worse. Make sure you carry protection with you. Have fun and stay safe!!!
I'm so happy you both are okay. I'm glad you've told us your truth. It is a learning experience for others to be aware . Take care and have a ton of fun !
Actually would have been better going into the detail about the threatening situation at the beginning of vid rather than a sketchy description around the 12 minute into vid ...
SO, what actually happened? It won't start to be talked about till 12:50 in the video, but he repeated quite a few times he doesn't want to talk the details, in stead, keeps telling you he is honest. Nobody say you are not. But sorry, the way you are telling a story is frustrating. Still, I don't know the details of the story!😅
Thank you for your honesty. I was going to block you cause I felt there was more to this story and it had me all stressed out. My wife and I boondock all over the USA and never had any problems. I always have my keys ready. I park so I can not get blocked in. I don't usually park in a secluded dark area. I don't advise getting out and confronting anybody. Your number one responsibility it to keep your wife and yourself safe. Keep on camping!

Hi welcome to dubventures its great to have you here. Was scary when first happened but glad we carried on as we met some great people and seen amazing places. One life live it. Lots more to come 😁
I have just discovered this nomadic way of life through UA-cam channels! Thank you for your honesty about the attack!! I got the impression prior to hearing this, that this kind of lifestyle is actually safer than city life! I'm a female in my 60s considering doing some of this travel fairly soon, so I really appreciate the awareness you have brought to us! Thank you!! BTW, Tom, you are So Sweet and Considerate of the animals!🥰. I appreciate your consideration of the sweet calf, and it's so cute to see how you two Love your sweet Thor!! Blessings to you...🙏❤🌈
Thank you for your comment. I love animals especially our fur baby thor. We have been travelling for 5 years in our camper and that is the only time we have ever had a problem. Although this has happened it has not put us off vanlife. We love it. One life live it. If it is something you want ti do you should do it. Its amazing 😁
Man people seem to go through this in this area. It's sad. There is an app where you can see what places are safe you can say what aren't it's awesome. The whole community works together
14:10 You rushed out with your Scottish bastard sword unsheathed then or did you forgot to put on your kilt before storming out and apply those conflict management skills ??
Many years ago in Italy someone broke our camper at night while we were sleeping inside and stole a lot of things. After a while I woke up because of the noise and realized that someone was inside the car. I screamed and woke up my husband. Before we could even hold the thief, he had already escaped. He had taken money, credit cards, cell phones and sunglasses with him. The idea that he could have taken my 6-month-old son with him hit me deeply and I realized how vulnerable you are in the car. That was only on the 6th day of our camper's life and I didn't sleep well for months after that. Many years later we had the camper stolen in Rome and it never turned up again.
I'm very shocked to know what happened to you, that is unbelievable. Hope you're both well. This is one of the reasons why we are not 100% comfortable with wild camping by ourselves. Very good video, thank you very much for being honest and very well done to Brooke for continuing the journey. I can't imagine what we would have done, specially Dorota. Take care guys. Konrad.
Maybe a few motion detector lights with a few camera's would help you see what is happening without leaving the safety of the van. I enjoy camping from time to time and always carry bear spray with me. I don't carry it for the wildlife but for situations like you encountered.
You need to check the law you may be opening yourself up to a lawsuit if you use bear spray or wasps spray against a human intruder. I know it sounds stupid but a few years ago someone got there self in trouble for doing this.
We live in America and carry "conflict resolvers" with us when we travel. We're trained, licensed, and insured to use those conflict resolvers although we hope that we never have to. Glad y'all were able to stay safe.
@@fatonyalmitchell3281 Not really. There's reciprocity between many states which means that they recognize each other's permits. We've got licenses in several states and their combined reciprocity covers us for most of the USA.
@@Michelle2A did you say Most ⁉️ that's my point ☝️ excually Not all and even then some local don't honor State laws ‼️So if you got wrong person they will handle you locally and if you wanna enforce State law probably have go to court, which is still a lost 😭 So ok Carry on 👍 think whatever even if you right state wide you can 🥫 be wrong locally which they may enforce ‼️ Eitherway good luck 🤞
The main thing is to always stay safe when camping sometimes the correct thing to do is just drive away if you can even if you feel you want to get out and batter them. I’ve just found your channel and just spent a few hours watching it ( should have been doing a few jobs ) Thanks and stay safe
Very scary confrontation! I can understand you not wanting to alarm your viewers. But, glad you mentioned it. You are smart to have it documented, for others to be aware in that area. Be safe, strength & honor to you.❤️
I've had a couple of instances of people coming to the van. I usually travel with my labrador and if she hears someone approaches she grumbles just enough to wake me up, but if anyone does touch the door she sounds as aggressive as aggressive can be (if only they knew that she isn't!). On one occasion I was parked in a forest at around midnight and a chap fully opened the side door. He looked in and simply said "Oh, you've got a dog". I jumped up and asked if he needed help or something, he mumbled something about 'wrong van' and scurried off. Weird.
These days criminals break into houses even when there is a whole family there. This happened to my colleague once and a boyfriend. And they have security. It is a lot harder to find park ups with decent lights and CCTV unless you pay to park there. Saying that, criminals also target people in car parks even though there is CCTV which makes no sense but shows how brazen they are.
I'm glad you told us about your experience. It is important for people to be prepared for such emergencies. Always make sure you have some kind of effective protection.
Sleep with your key remote and push the panic button. The alarm should send them away. If you have remote start, you can also use that. They don’t know how safe they are disturbing you, so they, like you, would prefer not having a direct conflict. Safe travels to you.
I changed my thumbs up to down !. Cripe get to the point !!! You sharing exactly what happened is critical for other competent be aware. You folks lost me on this and any future interest posts.
@@dubventures this person commented because they’re frustrated. This video is frustrating. If you enjoy getting views by clickbaiting and frustrating people, thats your prerogative. It obviously works, but it’s pretty lame.
I admire the courage of people who sleep in vans without removing the bulkhead wall 🤦. I also often see the van parked overnight facing the wall. These are basic rules that cost nothing.
First, I'm glad you both are OK. Second, I appreciate your sharing this incident with your audience. But I'm left wondering exactly how you got out of this scary situation. Did you wield a weapon? Or resort to talking/Conflict management techniques? I mean, I've got to be direct here: your video extols your honesty, and as a viewer I'll take that at face value. But you're holding back a bit here--well, maybe more than a bit. Perhaps for good reason--but if so, just say it. No disrespect intended. For the record, I'm not (yet) a full time van lifer, but I've done a fair share of wild camping. Best wishes!
Parked in rest area nsw Australia, a panel van reversed back n forwards a few times right up to my rear tailgate door. While he was doing that I was in the front drivers seat so quick I’d actually started my motor and went directly to the police unmanned station I think. It is in a town. My heart beat so fast. Police’s dog parked all night then, but I found that a comfort. Left my jerry can etc at rest area so I retrieved later. Some people just like putting fear into others!
Me and my best buddy Sig specialize in conflict management as well...We always travel together... Sometimes Sig brings his buddy Suppressor with him...They have a codependent relationship...They're literally attached to each other...You should get a buddy like SIG!
This was really shocking. We almost stayed at that spot 2 weeks ago. It's a great park up and we would have thought it was safe. We ended up at the motor home campsite at the bowling club in the village. Which was great. We very rarely go to campsites, always wildcamp and have never felt unsafe anywhere. That was one place that I would never of imagined something like this could happen ! Good that you carried on with your trip. It's a beautiful part Scotland 🏴🏴🏴
As others have said, you probably realize that getting out could have been the end for both of you? Not that staying inside guarantees your safety, but puts metal and glass between you and them, to allow you to escape. Glad it worked out well.
So for here I haven’t had a problem and I hope I don’t cus they wouldn’t like it at all. Thank y’all for telling everything it’s always best. And have a great vacation.
Glad I read comments first, didn't have to waste my time on click bait. Won't be watching any videos from this channel, not interested in content creators that use click bait for views.

Love how natural and honest you too are. Breath of fresh air. I assume your not providing details of attack because it's now a police investigation. I hope so. If they've done it once they'll do it again and next time it could be much worse. Would love to know what you did to make them realise they made a big mistake . 😉😉🤣🤣
I travel in a little Trillium 13 foot. I use a ESP32-CAM with night vision and a PIR. Once motion is detected, a picture is taken. Position outside in a good (hidden) spot and run off a 9 volt battery. At least you have a picture(s) of them. Total cost: $50 CAN. Can also use for camping to see what animals came through your campsite at night. In Alberta Rockies - lots of bears!

BTW: I recommend you get a steering wheel lock. Very useful as a steering wheel lock (obviously) but also as a seat side weapon in case those conflict management skills prove to be ineffective. As you may know a baseball bat next to the drivers seat is illegal (at least in most countries) but a steering wheel lock, even though it looks like and/or can double as a serious piece of batting apparatus) is considered just a steering wheel lock and does not look out of place next to or under a drivers seat in a van. SO most likely no cops will get nervous and want to start confiscating or ticketing anybody... Let me tell you: I had a few instances where I was ready to defend myself as a couple of guys approached the van ready to do some damage and/or harm but they were quickly brought to changing their minds as soon as they saw me holding the steering wheel lock.... the lock and a smile always suffices... What a good thing to know, even bad people have a vivid enough imagination to be able to know when it is wise to back out of a situation fastly becoming unfavorable to them...
Friends of mine did a VW Van trip from Arizona, usa to the tip of Argentina that took months and they only had one scary incident where they accidentally wandered onto some guarded property trying to find a scenic spot to sleep for the night. Two men with guns approached her and Luckily my friend has a degree in conflict management. She was able to cobble together enough coversational Spanish to explain that they are just van campers and she and her partner were not a threat. Eventually, they were dubbed a non-threat and allowed to stay the night on their land. Communication is key. Be safe out there!
False information, you said you were attacked and yet there is nothing to show that. You don’t want to go into to details. Why ? That’s all you kept saying. You led us on so basically you are untruthful. I’m unsubscribing. Good bye. You are what you say.
Appreciate the honesty but you've left me with more questions than answers! What did you grab to scare a group of violent intruders away? You have knowledge of conflict management, so perhaps some tips or advice? We're these people young kids, men and what we're they after?
So we’re going to tell you but we’re not going to tell you, but we we want to be honest with you, but we’re going to dance around what happened and still not tell you. Jeez. Get to the point.

I'm on the road everyday and there are dangerous people out there
It was not possible to ignore the situation.
This might be a good reason to have out side lighting to switch on when needed like at home and have a video camera ready thanks for sharing

You don’t want to go into details but you’re telling this story- and you used it in the title as click bait. Weird.
Yep 100% clickbait
@@littlebanshee Glad I skipped through the video and read the comments. Only wasted two minutes.
I'm from the village and the folk have a different story. A couple teenagers ran out to the van, shook it and shouted wake up thinking it was funny, didn't interact with the guy at all and ran away giggling
Yep nonsense
You kept saying you want to be honest but you never really say what happened
A tip a lone female vandweller gave once was to always back into the parking spot so she had a quick get away if she was attacked.
Another tip, label your deisel sewerage and no one will steal it
They are very good tips we are going to do a video about this and we will mention the label in it thank you for sharing 😀
I always back in to spots, for a quick getaway. But i often think ...if someone wants to attack, they could just park infront of me, and block me in. Then i think i should find a spot that's open infront and behind me. But then, the attackers could come in 2 cars, and block me from both ends.
Roz from Roz's Moto Adventures does something similar with her motorcycle - pointed toward an exit path and ready to go if necessary. .
Good idea, some psychological tricks are handy. VIdeo camera stickers etc
Lololololololololololololololol and label the sewage, diesel.

At least you both had time to comment on this. Thank you so much.
Why can’t you tell us what happened
I don’t understand, especially if you called the police
Very similiar thing happened to my family and I at a beach resort in California many years ago. I was only about 12 years old, but I can still remember being woken up by loud banging on the sides of my mom and dad's 5th wheel camper. Luckily my dad had his firearm with him and ultimately scared the group of guys away. But you know, here in the states you don't know whether you're walking out into an open gun fight or not. I just remember feeling so scared for my pops. Crazy night
Sounds scary im glad your was all ok.

Thank You for being truthful about the thugs that tried to ruin your vacation, your training kicked in perfectly. I probably would have over reacted, which would have only made things worse. For me, I would have looked back at my reaction after the fact, and realized that I played right into their game. I think it’s a hoax because of the missing details
Cool story bro.
I live here in America. WHen my wife & I boondock, we have a couple of "must-brings:"
--our pit bull. He is a real gentle, goofball. But he's also trained to attack on command--and can actually sense danger and is ready to go when sensing it.
--we have a 9mm Sig Sauer...and a Mossberg 500 tactical shotgun.
Thank you for your comment and information! 🙌 We can't have things like that here and we shouldn't realy ever have to.
Yep, this is the UK, no guns, ever
Yes we have a law in the UK, that only allows the criminals to have guns !

Thank you for your comment! 🙌

Agreed. The noise was a red flag.
Don’t go out there without a gun
Thank you for your comment its appreciated. We do agree security is an important part when designing your camper 😁
Imagine what would possibly happen if YOU weren’t there to scare them off and they went for the older lady with her grandson! I think in this case you were exactly in the right spot at the right time.
I guess so. They left afterwards same as us. 🙂

Thought the same thing. I have worked with crises management people many times, and many times I have seen, what I can only call, miracles. It's a communication skill we are taught to ignore, but some can't. Tom is no doubt one of those people. Ty both for sharing.

@Donna E Plenty of US citizens do as well. ;)
Man, I solo camped once. It was great, but watching this makes me realize how risky that was.
We live it but now we are definatly more away of these situations
We drove off laughing and found another spot miles away.
haha top work lads!
Thank you for being honest and open about what happened! There is always someone who wants to spoil things. In a way it was good you were there. Think about the poor lady and her grandson. I don’t think there maybe wouldn’t have been able to chase those idiots off like you did. Well done for doing that! Stay safe

Yeah, I have one of those conflict management tools too. Probably just like yours, mine has a special place for my index finger.
Listen dude the right thing to do would be to tell us all or at least most of the details so we can learn from all the new
Nuances of what happened so we can be prepared. By giving no details it’s actually a disservice. I’d say if your gunna camp. Bring a pistol, bring weapons, bear spray, maybe hidden ring camera out side, phones charged ready to call cops, and escape route directly from camper to driver set so you can drive off.
He's lying
You should go into detail. How else can someone prepare?
It changes nothing of what happened. What's important here is people are aware. Thank you.
Its sad that these things happen. But im glad we told the story to make people aware thst this happens. 🙂

Im sorry to hear all of that has happened to you sounds awful.

New Subscriber here. Sorry to hear that you had to deal with the attack but I am glad that you all are OK. Thanks for sharing and being awesome! Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Thank you for subscribing its appreciated. Lots coming to the channel. 🙂
Hi just came across your channel and we have been van travelling for about 9 years and had a slight scare on one occasion which did put us off for a short time but now we are back into going wild camping and although we live in Scotland we love travelling about it we use sites also but try to get in some wild camping along with sites etc. love your channel so have now subscribed so we can watch all your videos.
Thank you for subscribing. we appreciate it and welcome to the dubventures community. I'm really glad you are back travelling and enjoying making new memories after having a scare. we can't let other people affect what you want to do 😀
Love how natural and honest you too are. Breath of fresh air. I assume your not providing details of attack because it's now a police investigation. I hope so. If they've done it once they'll do it again and next time it could be much worse. Would love to know what you did to make them realise they made a big mistake . 😉😉🤣🤣
Thank you for your comment 😁
I travel in a little Trillium 13 foot. I use a ESP32-CAM with night vision and a PIR. Once motion is detected, a picture is taken. Position outside in a good (hidden) spot and run off a 9 volt battery. At least you have a picture(s) of them. Total cost: $50 CAN. Can also use for camping to see what animals came through your campsite at night. In Alberta Rockies - lots of bears!
Thanks for sharing its appreciated 😁
Living in America we have the right to defend ourselves in most states. I admire your will to keep traveling and reporting your experiences.
Thank you for your comment! 🙌
You are allowed guns there! But so are the bad guys!
@@johnf3326 I live in an area of the United States where most people are armed. if a bad guy knows that most people are armed in an area he would choose an area that he knows the people or less armed. The solution to a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.
@@johnf3326 hate to break it to you but bad guys have guns where guns are not allowed, no law will stop bad people from doing bad things.
@@artillerybuff2000 my sentiments exactly
We're not going into details, I'm not going to subscribe.
At least you had time to comment! 😂🙂👍
@@dubventures that positive outlook just got you another subscriber

Thank you for your honesty. I just found your UA-cam channel. I subscribed and gave you a giant LIKE. I am from Steubenville, Ohio, U.S.A. I would have never thought that you would encounter problems out there but there is always someone to ruin things. I am glad you both came out well. God bless!
Thank you for subscribing we appreciate it, welcome to dubventures. We never experienced anything like that before but now its made us more away but we love what we do so will continue to explore in or campervan one life live it 😁
I was hoping to see some conflict management I feel cheated . It could have been the beast of the Moore
Thank you for your comment
What a world we live in. Glad you are both safe
Hi. Its not often that will happen. Thank you for your comment! 🙌
You said you were being honest but. it would worry me now as you didn’t go into details. So not totally Honest.
I was. More details change nothing. What is important is that people are aware. Thank you for your comment! 🙌
You were attacked, where's the damage to yourselves, the car, what became of the perpetrators and why is there a link to your Amazon store?
Your episode is based on the attack that “you don’t want to go into detail about”
More details changes nothing. What is important is that people are aware.
Thank you for your comment! 🙌
