Hello, do you fry just dry out of package rice paper ? Or you need to soften it with water before frying? I used dry and it did not transformed at all, so I don’t know what was a reason- quality of paper or wrong technique?
You can find it in asian food store( it is called spring rolls). I fried it in oil and it should be on the pan until it changes shape (that should last for a couple of seconds).
Of course it is edible, it’s tasty as chips ,so delicious. Everythig I use is edible.You can also prepared good food with it, especially if you are vegan :)

When i put all decorations on my cake, it can be in fridge for a couple of hours and it won't change

Oil, and doesen't smell. At least try , to see is it good for your decoration :)

I let it dry (it is written in the description in the video) it takes a couple of hours or overnight, to dry.
