Time to Waste by Alkaline Trio, playing live in Las Vegas - House of Blues 25th July 2008. Bonus DVD from This Addiction album. I take no credit for this DVD. Enjoy!
If this song was by a band the size of someone like Foo Fighters or Green Day then it would be a classic. It annoys me that bands like Alkaline Trio write such good songs but are just overlooked and underrated.
so many people complaining about they not being bigger. I don't see the point. They are already big, since the first EP, for many fans (like me). And they live form this, what else can you ask for
My dumb (significantly younger) face is in there somewhere! Damn, I have so many memories from the Vegas HoB. Like losing my shoe during a NOFX show and somehow, miraculously, getting it back again, then running in one-shoed lopsided circles while holding it above my head until the spin cycle spit me out and I could put it back on. Good times, good times . . .
@poisonrain87 yep, and it just makes it better to find out that they're some of the nicest guys to meet. there's definitely an appeal that not everyone knows about them, because they are sort of niche, but most people love them after finding them so it all works out
I am a blink fan never really listened to AT before, when Tom came back to blink I decided to give AT a go. I haven't stopped listening for over a week now..... Not been addicted to a band like this in a long time
@supermott6 yeah it is, though i guess its easy for public forums, like radio and tv, to be judgmental when faced with some choice of lyrics that bands like alkaline trio choose to use. some see real life emotions played out in music as 'evil' and 'dark', even though those lyrics in songs are so much more powerful and closer to earth then some other shit, usually pop and rap
@VioIentGoIdFish I know you posted about ALK3 being passed over a while ago, but I wanted to put in my own two cents. I know it sucks that they're continually passed over, especially after signing with epitaph, but at the same time, it makes them a good find for anyone who was lucky enough to stumble upon them. I found them by accident when I was 13, and I still listen to them today at the age of 24. Even though they are not as popular as many would like, they are still living the dream.
Not in the entire song, he has a hard time in the verses , especially the first one but not sucky, ive noted that he struggles with low notes tho, he did way better in Help Me from this same show...

David Mitchell-Baker but then again keep this band to ourselves fuck pop culture we don't need it!..
This song is a classic regardless of whether or not it gets played by the Olive Garden of rock bands.
maybe its a blessing
Man this is so why I love Derek's drumming...so methodical. And puts on a show too. Underrated IMO
Derek elevates this band like no one else can
Derek is a criminally underrated punk rock drummer.
hey! I'm 80 and these guys rock! being 80 is better than the alternative.
CHOPPRZ 87 now
You still alive?

this audience need a metronome. great song anyway

WOW their clapping was way off.
That's why they're the audience and not the band!!!
I mean duh they’re the audience, most of them aren’t musicians
@@dylanburton4955 how do you know? Did you ask all of them? Stop trolling, tosser.
Skibas voice is class here
03:18 Derek is such a showman. Clean technique even while tricking

No live piano? Kinda bummed. Good song though
Is that the Sherminator at 0:00?
Nice pentagram on the shirt🐷
what the fuck happened with the clapping, hahaha. Geez.
Off-beat
LOL ...
People commenting on the clapping don't know how the speed of sound works
lol over the distance of a venue lol , seriously ??? nothing to do with the speed of sound
LMFAO..
Damn, skiba is balding like an 80 year old man
I'm sorry, but someone needs to say this - Matt's vocals just SUCK live. Just listen to it - it's way the fuck out of tune.

It's just because he's f*cking wasted, xD
He was never the best live vocalist, not any better or worse than 90% of other rock vocalists live
