Me too, this was quite a hard one for me to watch when it got to the house part tbh, like you hear stories about what murderers and serial killers do to their victims but never see it hinted at so viscerally as it was in this game, had to take a moment at that part can’t lie

The pause on the last scare of prologue is perfectly timed. You can see Jack's facial expression easing up right before he gets spooked. Fantastic.

The implication of the… “torture devices” and the fact that this guys main target was children adds a whole new level of fucked up and terrifying that just gets sorta glossed over. Though that could explain the adult screams mentioned in the note left by the kid. As concerning as that still is, I really hope that’s the answer…

The positioning of that skeleton and the knowledge that it was likely one of the 11 children and they probably died right there (rather than their body being moved) is so... just horrifying. Because that sh*t happens in real life too.
The bodies are still there so.. they were never discovered. All the bodies are kids/adults they didn't find. They /found/ eleven. He killed more.

It’s so cool that the tarot cards on each egg has meaning to the actual cards and how they are positioned(upright and reversed) which each character.
Dana has the Death Egg. She fittingly dies first. She also befits the meaning of the card in that she wants to change to better horizons and gigs in news crews, and her death also changes the game into the survival horror most Puppet Combo games are known for.
Gary has the Hanged Man. After his body is chopped up to pieces, the Easter Ripper hangs his body up with chains. The Reversed Hanged Man also represents selfishness and missed opportunities, which fits Gary in spades.
Tom has the Fool. On a video tape, it's shown that he was killed offscreen and his body couldn't be found, which befits the tarot card. It's actually a lie, as Tom is the real Easter Ripper and trying to fool you by thinking he's dead. He also fits the Reversed Fool: a feeling of wanting to move on but being held back by yourself. In this case, Tom is unable to move on from his killing impulses.
The Real Estate Agent has Justice. He was killed trying to sell access to the house of the Easter Ripper's brother, Anthony, and he was killed by the true Easter Ripper, Tom. He also fits the Reversed Justice card, as he was unjustly and disproportionately punished by the Easter Ripper just for allowing access to his house. really liked how each egg had a tarot card that ties back to each character:
-first one was death, going back to a change in Dana's job
-second was hanged man in reverse, meaning Gary's selfishness
-third was the fool, since "tom" tended to go off by himself
-fourth was hierophant, cant really figure this one out tho
maybe the fourth one said something about the real estate agent that died in the bathroom
the Hierophant stands for traditions and convention. It can represent marriage in an arranged setup. It can also mean a teacher or counsellor who will help in learning/education of the querent.

I'll be honest, I knew it was going to be Tom from the start. It's always the quiet ones and then we didn't see him die like the others. I knew it probably wasn't supernatural, though the spider-bunny did throw me off quite a lot for a bit, and Tom seemed the most likely to murder everyone. I thought *maybe* it was the agent, but the note you get from him at the beginning made me think it wasn't very likely that he would make all that up and mention a suspicious person being in the house if he wanted to stalk and kill you later with his sick game.
For a second, though, I did think that it was Justin or whatever. The kid from the start. Like he survived it all and continued the cycle. When the bunny mask came off, it popped into my head again, but that's mostly because I couldn't make out Tom's face as very distinct.
The ghost children showing up to murder Tom was an interesting touch. I figured maybe she was just crazy, but nope, she was actually seeing some odd spectral hauntings.
1:07:39 The fact that the neck thing with the ball that goes in the mouth hints to the fact that the bunny most likely had sexual interactions with the children, before, during , or after the torture and murder

Jank dialogue is "Dana and Gary are dead!" instead of "Everyone is dead!". Jank dialogue is not "Everyone is alive!" which is more what Jack gave us.

Looking at the tarot cards on the eggs you need to collect, I was curious. So apparently Dana's egg was Death (hence "death egg"), Gary's was The Hanged Man, Tom's was The Fool, and the real estate agent's was Justice.

It's crazy how Jack went from watching Happy Wheels to actually being voice overs in games. Jack I love you so much and you deserve all the happiness in n the world. Even your smile has the same effect on me. Still making me as happy as if I haven't had depression for years

The "printing" sound is most likely to mimic the sound old consoles (like a PS1) would make when loading. The disc "tray" lens moving around looking for the data and all that.
Ya thats what it sounded like to me. Very nostalgic noise xD also PTSD inducing. That's always the noise you'd hear kick into gear when the disc was scratched and would freeze
@@scarletwolf_tb6307 Guess I was lucky, because I never had that happen to me, so I have no idea what it sounds like. Though I didn't had a lot of games so I had a tendency to be really careful with the discs.
But old lens system tend to be really noisy. Even without loading screen you could here when the game was loading something and knew shit was about to go down... Kinda like the IRL version of the game loading you up on heath/ammo before a suspiciously different door...
