Tom: "I'll catch ya later." That creeped me out, I always had a bad feeling about Tom, ever since I saw him running through those halls towards the beginning
It’s so cool that the tarot cards on each egg has meaning to the actual cards and how they are positioned(upright and reversed) which each character. Dana has the Death Egg. She fittingly dies first. She also befits the meaning of the card in that she wants to change to better horizons and gigs in news crews, and her death also changes the game into the survival horror most Puppet Combo games are known for. Gary has the Hanged Man. After his body is chopped up to pieces, the Easter Ripper hangs his body up with chains. The Reversed Hanged Man also represents selfishness and missed opportunities, which fits Gary in spades. Tom has the Fool. On a video tape, it's shown that he was killed offscreen and his body couldn't be found, which befits the tarot card. It's actually a lie, as Tom is the real Easter Ripper and trying to fool you by thinking he's dead. He also fits the Reversed Fool: a feeling of wanting to move on but being held back by yourself. In this case, Tom is unable to move on from his killing impulses. The Real Estate Agent has Justice. He was killed trying to sell access to the house of the Easter Ripper's brother, Anthony, and he was killed by the true Easter Ripper, Tom. He also fits the Reversed Justice card, as he was unjustly and disproportionately punished by the Easter Ripper just for allowing access to his house. (Copied and pasted explanations from tvtropes.org)
We did. Resident Evil 1 came out in '96, which this game is heavily influenced by. From the fixed camera and controls to the menu and health status display.
Maniac Mansion and Uninvited were both 80s, og 7th Guest and Phantasmagoria were 90s, not to mention there used to be a whole mess of shareware stuff one could pick up at computer shows across any and every genre, including horror
"you took the death egg? oh that's a bad omen" me, who's really into tarot: well actually, it has the death card on it, which people usually assume is bad because it's called the death card and the art seems bad, but it can actually be quite a good card. a brief sum up of what it represents is new begginings, opportunites, taking steps toward a good future, etc. it is also the Scorpio card :)) me: *realises jack can't here me through the screen and i'm basically talking to myself*

4:40 My story is that I got "lost" in a massive mall for over 2 hours and my parents were freaking out and even called the cops to search for me. Turns out I was in the arcade seven steps away from where we had sat down for lunch and was watching the older kids play games. I still have the same habit of walking off almost 14 years later, no trauma from it at all haha
Mine is that my big brother said that he was going to get pizza, so my mom asked me to follow him. but for some god damn reason he was running off so fast that my tiny body can't follow. So I lost sight of him, and so I tried retracing my steps back trying to find where my parents were, but they were nowhere to find, so I just stand still trying to not act suspicious (idk why) but a security guard notices me and came to me and asked me if I was ok, then the big pressure was then suddenly released, so I cried like shit. And then blah blah blah y'know how it goes, and so my parents scolded me a lot while inside the car. the end
But this is nothing compared to when I almost got into an accident when I was trying to cross the streets when i was a kid. I could tell you the full details about this, but I don't want to drag this for way too long, but if you wanna know, feel free to ask.
Oh fellow wanderer! On my first day of kindergarten, I got on the wrong bus thinking ANY bus would take me home. Police were called by my parents, bus driver was confused as hell, and i was just vibing completely unaware that people were freaking out

It’s so nice how you literally did a clean take of the line you messed up and told Puppet Combo if they’re watching, they could take it and use that for patchwork.
For anyone who is shit talking the character's parents for leaving them, in real life children being lost in malls is still a real thing and was far more common back in the day. It's part of why there's mall security. Their 2 main purposes are to prevent theft and to make sure lost kids are safe until their parents come to the security office to get them. Me personally, I was an active kid so I was always running around and sneaking away. I'd B-line to the nearest toy store or arcade and my mom would never know. Thankfully, she was the type to watch kids like a hawk, she'd watch me and my 2 cousins so we were good in terms of never leaving her sight. But all it takes is a few seconds/minutes to pick something up or talk to someone (like a husband or friend) and your kid is just gone. The first assumption is usually a kidnapping because panic sets in and you assume the worst. So if security doesn't find the kid and announce "will the parent of such and such please come yo the security office" then the parents leave with the natural assumption that their kid was taken and isn't even at the mall anymore. This still happens but I don't think its as common anymore... What was also common was children being crushed under elevators. I live in Illinois USA and I think I remember my mom telling me that in Orland Mall a child was crushed under the elevator... which is why now a days, the bottoms of mall and store elevators are blocked off... Its... not a pretty way to go... I've seen pictures of similar scenarios. Its slow, painfull, and the last emotion you have is fear.... Believe me, there's only a few inches of space under an elevator when its at the bottom... there's nothing but a horrific soup left of anyone that gets crushed.
This is so heavily inspired by the original Resident Evil games and i love it. The old interface, the fixed camera, the shaky graphics, the door entrances. Puts me back to when i used to play the games with my dad

He also fits the Reversed Justice card, as he was unjustly and disproportionately punished by the Easter Ripper just for allowing access to his house. me, who's really into tarot: well actually, it has the death card on it, which people usually assume is bad because it's called the death card and the art seems bad, but it can actually be quite a good card. a brief sum up of what it represents is new begginings, opportunites, taking steps toward a good future, etc. it is also the Scorpio card :))

Perfectly captures that direct to VHS feel. Like, we got no budget but we can do whatever we want. They're clearly having fun making these and it resonates throughout.

Slowly and steadily Sean is gonna be in every game and movie
