Suggestion! “Who's Lila?” by Garage Heathen! It's a point and click reverse horror game inspired by David Lynch's works, featuring facial expression mechanics. You communicate to characters in the game by manipulating expressions on the main character! It's about an hour playing the story surface level, but it's so much deeper than it seems and is 6 hours ish to completion. Just came out a few months ago! Edit: mentioned Dev :-)
"you communicate to characters in the game by manipulating expressions on the main character!" that just sounds like the brain itself with extra steps. but fr tho cool concept
oh heck yeah. that game was pretty fricking creepy. main character is like a sociopath or smth so requires a lot of effort to express "emotions". its really cool
Oh yeah, I watched ManlyBadassHero play that a bit ago. Left it sitting on while I played Hollow Knight Voidheart Edition. Jack should definitely check it out
I kinda zoned out at the butchershop scene, and as a person named Lucas, when I heard jack yell AHH LUCAS WHATS HAPPENEING, I started paying attention again
The “Chrissy wake up!! I don’t like this?!” While Ruben’s driving and Jack pans to the back cam is hilarious but I know it’s a horror game. I really just like laughing at Eddie’s horror during that moment in ST4.
"I love you less than three" is an extremely subdued version of "I love you three thousand". It's basically more of a "I can barely tolerate your existence"
One thing I can say Shaun does perfectly and it’s all on accident not even planned is his perfect comedic timing when Shit just starts hitting the fan, like Him joking about the butcher being dead to turn and tada, he dead. For some reason in each horror vid he has there maybe more than 3 on average moments like these and I would love to see a compilation vid just for those moments maybe called “All about that timing” or something and just go nuts with the editing and music and have fun lol keep up the great vids
in terms of recommendations, there’s an indie horror game called “no one lives under the lighthouse” that i think you should play. it does a really good job at building its atmosphere and has some genuinely terrifying moments, highly recommend!
Yeah I saw a UA-cam video of someone play it, I didn't watch the whole thing though. I think that person's video was around 1 hour and 40 minutes long, it kind of perfectly fits the horror game videos that Sean has been uploading lately.
@@Samaurai-Light Yeah and can you imagine what he put in the bag of "free toy & chocolate"?? Also at the end scene it said something about her barely recognizing him, as in what... her ghost told us she kind of knew it was him as Timmy the toy man???
Remember kids, a police officer (in America) cannot legally demand ID from you if you’re just walking down the street, or if you’re a passenger in a car; unless, the officer has reasonable, articulable suspension you, specifically, have or are about to commit a crime.
Maybe that's the law, but in a he said/she said situation the officer will win 99.9% of the time. The officer could just lie and say "I smell weed on you" and then he'd have legal rights to search your pockets/bags and demand ID.
Just because that’s how it should be, doesn’t mean that’s how it is. And if you aren’t doing anything wrong, what’s the big deal with showing your ID? Lol.
ALSO!!!!! In the US, unmarked police cars CANNOT PULL YOU OVER!!!! If someone pulls you over and says they’re an undercover cop, they MOST LIKELY AREN’T. And if they are, you can still drive to the nearest police station instead of getting out and going with them. STAY SAFE GUYS, there are murderers and r*pists who use this tactic to get victims!!!!
@@embadly Fair point about withholding ID being seen as suspicious in and of itself, but I feel like the knowledge of it being illegal for a police officer to demand the ID could save someone harm or legal turmoil in a few different situations. Like, what if your ID is used as evidence for a crime you didn't have anything to do with. What if the officer sees you as suspicious for really crummy (and legally prohibited) reasons, like because of how you dress or your racial or ethnic background? Also, it's like, what if you do have something to hide, but it's a much less serious crime than what the officer suspects you of commiting (like shoplifting versus manslaughter). It's wrong to steal in a vacuum, but I don't think it's like prolonged expensive court proceeding and possible prison sentence bad, you know?
Fr thats one of my favorite lines in season 4 of strangers things, hearing Jack say that really caught me off guard and almost made me spit out my drink🤣
Honestly the worst part about a city in night time I think is actually the light. Because when it's night time and there's only light from the moon and stars your eyes will adjust and you can see pretty well. But the constant blinding lights in the city will make it so what would normally be visible is now just pitch black because your eyes can't adjust to it because of all the lights.
The creator chooses the game, a lot of creators do FNAF and its kinda known to be like the indie horror genre on youtube now lol. Hey if you wanna see new smaller titles that doesnt have its own name here then thats the place:)
I love how the game at the end of credits say "Based on my mother's fear of being stalked while shopping" this wholesome and this is the kind of my mother too
Let’s all give a big RIP to Ruben. We may not have trusted him at first, but he didn’t turn out to be bad. May a flight of angels sing you to rest, king. o7
I really like the horror games Jack had been playing recently, the sort of creeps that play on your irl fears cuz theres no monsters, just terrifying humans. ALSO JACK!! CONSIDER PLAYING IB!! Its a rpg horror game with multiple endings that recently got a remake and is really interesting, would love to see you play it (even cooler if you choose to do a few endings)!!
The music through out is from various stages of the album/artpiece "Everywhere at The End of Time" by The Caretaker it was the perfect choice for this game. I also highly suggest giving the artist some love as that album/piece is 6 hours and 30 odd minutes long and incredibly powerful. Nice work Seán love these low poly horrors for working on art.
Whilst yes The Caretaker did play that piece (and it was turned into modern cultural fabric) The piece is actually called. "Midnight the stars and you" by Al Bowly. His album features a few tracks that The Caretaker used in Eateot.
the song playing at 45:55 is Al Bowlly’s “Heartaches”, just super slow! His songs are used in a lot of horror media, but they’re just super sweet love songs :)
Coming from someone who has an abusive father and tries everything in their power to disassociate with their father as well as not using their actual name, yeah, this game definitely hits a bit home for me.
"Get your shopping done before it gets dark." It was already dark when he went into the store. 🤣 Scared the crap out of me when he was making the phone call. Lol
This was a great game and an unexpectedly relatable one at that. I have a *strained* relationship with my dad (he never physically hurt me, but he hurt me and my family in other ways) and one day when I'd moved away from my home county to go to university I saw a man in a jacket just like one my dad used to wear. He just walked out in front of me on campus and I couldn't see his face and I just had a panic attack. I kept thinking "he found me, why is he here?" I ran to the nearest coffee shop and was in there for about an hour collecting myself. Anyway tl;dr although it's kinda silly this game recreates that posttraumatic stress pretty well and I'm glad Sean picked up on that!
Blizz: “i don’t even use the name you gave me” Seán, immediately: “blizz is better name anyway!! i’m sticking with blizz!!“ Seán said there will be no deadnaming in this house
I think you misunderstood. Blizz was referring to the name her father gave her, which was Claire. The name that the player chooses at the beginning of the game is the fake name she made up for herself to distance herself from him
Fun fact: That familiar, haunting jazz song that starts at 42:38 (which is labelled in a ton of different horror games as "It's Just a Burning Memory") is a slowed version of "Heartaches" by Al Bowlly. One of his other songs - "Midnight, the Stars, and You" was the song used during the ending scene of "The Shining." The more you know! lol
Yep, lol. Was confused when other peopled called it that since I only know it as "Heartaches". I always thought it was a beautiful song, so it doesn't have quite the same effect on me as it probably did to other people. Great choice nonetheless. Good song, good game.
43:00 I love how they used it's just a burning memory for this, even outside it's a quieter version but slower. Since I listen to this music a lot it gave me the reverse effect of being scared into relaxed
The “Chrissy wake up I don’t like this!” Got me. Also if you go shopping at night with dangerous encounters then I think you just want a death sentence.
this was way more terrifying than I originally expected. Extremely reminiscent of what I had to go through with my in-laws. Not nearly as dramatic, but I did have to warn my employer about them because they would stalk me wherever my wife and I went even to the point of showing up at my job.
Well, I've heard my name being pronounced worse! Do you have any pets? If not, I'd really suggest getting one, even as simple as a hamster. They can really give you a sense of ease.
I'd laugh so hard if they had an easter egg for naming yourself "Jack" or "Sean" but Jack just chose "Blizz"
love that everytime Jack says "are you the killer?" to a character, in the end, it really turns out that the character IS the killer.
"you communicate to characters in the game by manipulating expressions on the main character!" that just sounds like the brain itself with extra steps.
but fr tho cool concept
oh heck yeah. that game was pretty fricking creepy. main character is like a sociopath or smth so requires a lot of effort to express "emotions". its really cool
i want him to play this game so bad!!
Absolutely agree it would suit Jacks playstyle so well!! It’s very story driven and when the creeps hit, they hit deep!!
Oh yeah, I watched ManlyBadassHero play that a bit ago. Left it sitting on while I played Hollow Knight Voidheart Edition. Jack should definitely check it out
Jack’s voice acting skills are under appreciated, he nailed the vibe of every character

I kinda zoned out at the butchershop scene, and as a person named Lucas, when I heard jack yell AHH LUCAS WHATS HAPPENEING, I started paying attention again
and then your dead moments later
I like how this guy moves to a new town and is like “I will not sleep tonight until I get a new toy from the local toy store”

The fact that this game uses "Everywhere at the end of the time" samples to create tension is terrifying and amazing at the same time. Just wow.

One thing I can say Shaun does perfectly and it’s all on accident not even planned is his perfect comedic timing when Shit just starts hitting the fan, like Him joking about the butcher being dead to turn and tada, he dead. For some reason in each horror vid he has there maybe more than 3 on average moments like these and I would love to see a compilation vid just for those moments maybe called “All about that timing” or something and just go nuts with the editing and music and have fun lol keep up the great vids
in terms of recommendations, there’s an indie horror game called “no one lives under the lighthouse” that i think you should play. it does a really good job at building its atmosphere and has some genuinely terrifying moments, highly recommend!
liked to boost!
Oh yessssss I saw Scary Game Squad play that! Super good atmosphere for sure
oohhh i've never seen it but i rly hope he plays it then !!
Yeah I saw a UA-cam video of someone play it, I didn't watch the whole thing though. I think that person's video was around 1 hour and 40 minutes long, it kind of perfectly fits the horror game videos that Sean has been uploading lately.
The scariest part about this is the customer service. Can you imagine having to rewrite a sign for a chocolate bar?
I think the toy shop worker was the dad though
Always look at your states specific laws. It’s not across the board.
That fear of being stalked in the grocery store is no joke… definitely do not want that again or for anyone ever

I fucking love The Caretaker
the song playing at 45:55 is Al Bowlly’s “Heartaches”, just super slow! His songs are used in a lot of horror media, but they’re just super sweet love songs :)
Coming from someone who has an abusive father and tries everything in their power to disassociate with their father as well as not using their actual name, yeah, this game definitely hits a bit home for me.

@@themusicmakers777 what game?
@@asy11237 quite a few that I can’t think of. Mostly indie horror games on steam. Most recently on the backroom game on rec room lol.

I think you misunderstood. Blizz was referring to the name her father gave her, which was Claire. The name that the player chooses at the beginning of the game is the fake name she made up for herself to distance herself from him

I really like how the person that made the game used "its just a burning memory". I love that piece to bits
i immediately thought of the backrooms like the uncultured person i am 😭😭
Fun fact: That familiar, haunting jazz song that starts at 42:38 (which is labelled in a ton of different horror games as "It's Just a Burning Memory") is a slowed version of "Heartaches" by Al Bowlly. One of his other songs - "Midnight, the Stars, and You" was the song used during the ending scene of "The Shining."
The more you know! lol
Yep, lol. Was confused when other peopled called it that since I only know it as "Heartaches". I always thought it was a beautiful song, so it doesn't have quite the same effect on me as it probably did to other people. Great choice nonetheless. Good song, good game.
