The incline function on this is really cool, would love that on the Peloton platform. Not sure I could leave the content and trainers on Peloton, but this got my attention at least.
I've have the S27i for about 5 weeks it's great bike. The only issue is that you have to do a work around on the software to get Privileged Mode if want to load external apps they should just give it to everyone instead of trying to block it.
I have the older version of this bike that I bought 11/2020. The scenic rides are awesome and classes are good but the form of the older version got on my nerves. I would set the handlebars and they would slip back down. It was a nightmare to raise it back up without assistance. So after much thought, I am going to try the Peloton Bike+ with the leasing program. The reason the S22i edged out the Peloton in 2020 was the scenic rides. However I do see Peloton has some scenic rides and along with always thinking their classes would motivate me better. It arrives this Friday and I am excited. Your review was spot on.
Great review! I’ve been looking at both the NordicTrack and Peloton models and your videos have been extremely helpful. I will make a decision soon, I’m leaning towards the NordicTrack S22i. Cheers!
Like your reviews Steve, been watching them quite regularly. Nice sense of humour. I wonder though if you are as rich as croesus what with owning every desirable piece of kit (envy though, not jelousy, I'm happy for you, I guess...)! Been working my advocacy tirelessly at home and may, just may, get permission from the missus for a 22i this fall. Thanks for the excellent reviews, which have made it much easier to make an informed decision.
Your video is awesome Steve! I have the Proform bike and love it but NT has made me an offer of just under 1800 USD for the bike...I may have to go for it after seeing your review. Are bike shoes required or can I just use regular sneakers? Thank you!
I was torn between one of these and Peloton, and to be honest, I was leaning very heavily towards the NordicTrack - because of their outdoor rides, and the incline feature. The one really big red flag that put me off the NordicTrack, was the terrible reviews regarding their customer service. If they had had good feedback on that subject I would have most definitely bought one. However, I went with Peloton in the end, and don’t regret it - love my Peloton bike 😊
I went with Peloton as well because they have speech software called talkback built in if you are blind, or have low vision I can navigate the screen without any assistance. I love it.
It's ashame we can't access Pelaton content at the Nordicktrack bike, I chose Nordicktrack because the incline and it has extremely high resistance. I think someone said Pelaton and Nordicktrack have basically the same highest resistance but it's hard to find proof for that, so I just decided based on the incline as varying the incline angle might have an effect on calorie burn.
Hey, I found out what that wrench tool that came with the bike is for. My console support bracket tilted on arrival but did NOT swivel. The tool is to “tighten” the bolt behind the removable plastic cover on the console support - if it swivels too freely. However mine was immovable and it took a lot of strength (my wife couldn’t budge it), and I’m waiting for the new part so I can complete assembly.
Are the spin classes still good on the 27i? I’m not sure whether I will prefer the outdoor rides or spin classes. Hence not sure whether to pick the peloton or Nordictrack. Hoping the s27i can do both well.
Hi Steve, quick question can you connect an iFIT enabled treadmill to work with the S27i screen? I’m getting the bike this week and want to know if it would connect to the ProForm L6 treadmill and be able to use the auto resistance feature on the treadmill. Or is only going to work with a tablet or phone? Thanks in advance.

Amazing content! Well done… You made me choose the Nordic for those outdoor rides
I’ve never liked nor subscribed to anything on this site until now. Your review was informative, funny, and relatable. Well done, sir.

Love my s27i
Great video again Steve, I enjoy your content. I have had issues with other Nordic Track equipment. The after sales wasn’t a great experience.

Glad I could help!

Thanks! No bikes shoes needed as the pedals are a cage one side (for sneakers) and SPD the other (if you do want bike shoes)

Their customer service is slow but they eventually do serve youm so it's worth it for this bike and for their treadmills.

💯 agree.

In my experience:
Peloton has great class content, iFit is good.
iFit has much better outdoor content, Pelotons limited.
Great review
Glad you liked it!
You can install youtube o youtube music in the screen ????
How does the ‘screen wobble’ when riding compare to peloton?
Slightly more than a Peloton I would say but that’s mainly down to its size.
S22i will be the same as a Peloton.
👍🏽
What would be the lowest ceiling height for this? Hopefully if fits in my 2.07 shed.
My ceilings are that height and are fine.
Does it have an HDMI port? or can it be casted to a tv?
Neither 😞. I use the app on my TV.

I really don’t know, sorry Nigel. Maybe NordicTrack can answer.
Enjoy the new bike!
