First things first, I love love love love LOOOOOVVEEEE this song, as do many of you. Disney knocked it out of the park with this one, and I can't WAIT for the sequel (crosses fingers)! As for the song itself; easily the hardest song I've ever recorded xD Those high notes, and those incredibly low bass notes were not exactly tailored for a male to sing, but I gave it my best effort! When he started off in a lower octave I was thinking, meh, it's alright, but this isn't a low voice song. Then came the second verse. Wow. And the Eb5 at the end was friggin amazing. His vocal range is epic.

This may be an odd kind of question, but for a teen like me (!7 years old), how can someone practice trying to get better at high notes by themselves? I just tried, and found that I can sing as low as E3, and up to C6, although getting that high is a little shaky, but manageable. I've only had about 1 year of actual training (High school Chorus class), and was lead singer in the male section, and could sing pretty well, but when the final came around, I chose a song that was a little too above my range, and at one certain part, had to stop before I strained my voice (The song was Hell to your Doorstep from the Count of Monte Cristo musical). So maybe a few tips, cause I've always been trying my best to sing high parts, and found that over time, it is getting a easier little by little, but it always gets a little nasally. If you can reply, or maybe someone else with equal experience, that would honestly make me really happy.

I think what really gets me with this is that you put so much character into it. You didn't *just* sing the song, but you practically made it your own. I can envision an animated male character singing this, I can envision a scene to go with this, there is just so much life to your performance.

2024 & this still slaps so hard. My mother used to love this cover of this song & used to show me it all the time up until she passed in 2018. The last song she ever listened to was your cover. She was happy. Thank you, Caleb. This song cover got me through a lot of hard times in my life over the years; this was played at her funeral. This will forever stay with me.

I implore you to listen to The Mars Volta, Circa Survive, Periphery, Protest The Hero, Fair To Midland, and many others if you really think this is the only man with range. He's good, no doubt, but he's not the only one ya know. I mean, what about Freddie Mercury or even Adam Lambert?
+Spectre the Espeon This guy sang F2-Eb5, which is just shy of 3 octaves. Jordan Smith sang D3-Ab5, which is 2.5 octaves, thus, smaller than this guy's range. Adam Levine demonstrates a very wide studio vocal range (F#2-Bb5), but I doubt his actual live performance range is as wide. All of these facts aside, having a wide range doesn't necessarily make someone a great singer.
Ryan Jordan I'm not saying that anyone's a bad singer, but have you listened to any of either person's covers? Jordan Smith sounds amazing and so does Caleb Hyles. And before you bring up money and autotune, autotune is usable through simple editing and money is easy to get.

Well he meant F2 to Eb5, of course these were tranposed octaves based on 1 as central octaves.
